More details Revealed for Muppet Holiday Show Coming to Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios

A new Muppet holiday show is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as part of the Disney Jollywood Nights event.

Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will be very special guests at Theater of the Stars along with some of their Disney friends. There will be musical performances from Mickey and Minnie, Tiana, and Belle, with the latter princess singing “As Long as There’s Christmas” from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. There will even be a live band on stage!

As you can see in the concept art above, Belle is wearing her Christmas dress, while Tiana is in her “Almost There” outfit. It also looks like will be getting a stylish Santa Claus-inspired outfit for the occasion.

Creative Director of Disney Parks Live Entertainment Tom Vazzana compared this holiday show to a Radio City Music Hall performance.

Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green can buy tickets starting June 29. Tickets may be purchased by all guests starting July 6 on the Walt Disney World website. Ticket prices will range from $159 – $179 per person. Party dates are:

As part of the holiday event, guests can participate in a ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ sing-a-long at the Hyperion Theater. Guests will enjoy songs from the original soundtrack and Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie will make an appearance!

The Rainforest Cafe will be temporarily dormant as it undergoes a refurbishment

The Disney Springs skyline is about to get temporarily quieter, as the volcano at Rainforest Cafe is slated to undergo refurbishment.

Disney Springs veterans are all to familiar with the volcano at Rainforest Cafe, which erupts approximately every 30 minutes. This is obviously not a real volcano, and thus must undergo maintenance from time to time. The refurb is slated to begin this summer, and will serve to build upon the refurb that was completed in 2013 that enhanced the eruption effects of the volcano.

No timeline for the duration of the refurb has been announced.

Tron Virtual Queue Details Revealed for Halloween & Christmas Parties in the Magic Kingdom

Details about the virtual queue for Halloween and Christmas Parties at Walt Disney World have been released

Recently, we announced that a virtual queue would be used for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We now have more information on how these virtual queues for the parties will work.

Guests attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will need to utilize a virtual queue to ride TRON Lightcycle Run. The virtual queue will open to Halloween Party ticket holders at the beginning of the event, allowing them to join a boarding group through the official My Disney Experience app or at select kiosks within the park.

By joining the virtual queue, guests can enjoy the festive Halloween entertainment and attractions until it’s their turn to ride the Tron Lightcycle Run. Guests will only be able to enter the virtual queue once. The queue will open at 6pm, and no standby queue will be available. Guests must ensure their party tickets are linked to their MyDisneyExperience account to utilize the virtual queue.

A new Hocus Pocus LEGO Set is coming on July 4th! Capture the bewitching joy of a classic movie with this collectible LEGO featuring the Sander Sisters cottage and all the iconic characters from the movie, making it a must have in your home!

The cottage can be opened in multiple ways for easy viewing of the interior details, including the museum gift shop, cauldron with a LEGO light brick to illuminate the fire underneath, Book of Spells and the witches’ bat-infested bedroom. Detach the side room where Dani Dennison was captured by the witches and turn the water wheel outside to make pink ‘smoke’ puff out of the chimney.

The day has finally arrived! The excitement among fans of all ages is reaching its peak as Disney and Pixar’s latest film, “Elemental,” hits theaters today!

Set in the vibrant Element City, where Fire, Water, Earth, and Air residents coexist, this original feature film introduces Ember, a strong-willed and quick-witted young woman. Her friendship with Wade, a fun-loving and easygoing guy, challenges her perception of the world they inhabit.

To commemorate the film’s release and the introduction of these fantastic new characters, we have a first look at two new Dole Whip Floats available now for fans to enjoy this season!

Halloween Horror Nights fans: we finally have a new house announcement! While we knew there would be a Chucky-themed house for a while, fans have been eagerly awaiting announcements about the rest of the themes for the Halloween Horror Nights houses, and the first one is going to be great! Fan speculation was indeed correct, and we are getting a “The Last of Us” themed house this year.

Universal describes this house as follows: You and your squad will encounter the haunting and overgrown world of Naughty Dog’s video game in a brand-new, terrifying way, as you make your way through an abandoned Pittsburgh. Join Joel and Ellie, and don’t make a sound if you want to survive Clickers, Hunters and more. No matter what, keep finding something to fight for.

Fans of the game and/or the show know “The Last of Us” provides the perfect backstory for a Halloween Horror Nights house. It will be interesting to see how Universal incorporates the “abandoned Pittsburgh” theme into a house.

Halloween Horror Nights tickets for single nights are currently on sale, however the Frequent Fear Pass has not yet been released. Many popular dates do sell out, so be sure to grab your tickets while you can.
