Details and pricing have been revealed for Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular dessert parties coming to Magic Kingdom this fall! These dessert parties take place on the same night as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Two versions of Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular dessert party are available this year, Plaza Garden Viewing and Tomorrowland Terrace.
Plaza Garden Viewing includes:
A buffet of sweets and sips at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant
Views of Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show
Halloween-themed eats, include:
Chocolate-dipped strawberries and devil’s chocolate mousse
A variety of cheeses
Beverages, including an assortment of beer and wine for Guests ages 21 and over with a valid form of identification

Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disney California Adventure this Halloween season. The Halloween party is a very popular event and all dates are now sold out!
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets went on sale for Magic Key holders on June 27. The tickets were then on sale for the general public on June 29. Disney’s website had some technical issues that caused most guests to not be able to purchase tickets. Finally, ticket sales resumed yesterday, July 11, and sold out by the end of the day.

The spell’s been cast! On select nights this September and October, Disney California Adventure Park will host a separately ticketed Halloween party with Oogie Boogie. This family-friendly event includes after-hours park access to treat trails, photo opportunities, entertainment, attractions, frightfully fun decor and more.
Your ticket also lets you enjoy Disney California Adventure Park for up to 3 hours before Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party begins. With the installment of the bridge block, the Disney Treasure now has everything it needs to sail through waterways around the world. The bridge block contains important navigational equipment for the ship, including the wheel! The future captain and their crew will be able to control the ship’s direction and speed from an onboard command center that looks out towards the horizon with floor to ceiling windows. This exciting update means we are one step closer to the day when the Disney Treasure will transport guests to beautiful destinations and explore the globe.

The Disney Treasure will continue the Disney Cruise Line tradition of bringing Broadway-style stage shows across the globe in a grand entertainment venue fit for original Disney musicals. However, before the curtain rises and performers dazzle future Disney Cruise Line guests, the Disney Imagineers and crew at Meyer Werft shipyard must weld what will someday become The Walt Disney Theatre to the Disney Treasure. It’s exciting to think that this space will soon be filled with Disney tunes and the heartwarming stories of favorite Disney adventurers!

Marvelous progress is taking place at Meyer Werft shipyard as the bow of the Disney Treasure was mounted to the forward section of the ship. This photo illustrates how the shipyard team carefully installs the bow block using a crane. The bow block was held in position with the help of a high-precision laser scanner until it was fully welded to the foreship. As the Disney Treasure takes form, this moment marks the first time that the iconic silhouette of the ship can be recognized. As with all ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Treasure takes its inspiration from classic ocean liners of the early 20th century with a modern flair.

The bow of the Disney Treasure has made its way to Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, having arrived aboard a barge with the aid of a helpful towboat. This photo showcases a first step in the installation process for the ship’s bow filigree, which is being protected by a large tarp. The outline of the design has already been sketched out in red ink on the ship’s surface and will be completed at a later point in the construction process.

Each ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet has its own distinct, elegant piece of artwork embossed on its bow. Revealing the unique designs created for the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and the Disney Wish marked a memorable moment for each vessel during its construction and the Disney Treasure is no different. Disney Cruise Line debuted the Disney Treasure’s captivating bow filigree for the first time. The design features a portrait of Minnie Mouse wearing her brand-new, adventure-ready ensemble as well as some hidden silhouettes of other beloved characters. Voyager Minnie’s look was designed especially for the Disney Treasure to complement its motif of adventure. Later on in the construction process, this artwork will be installed onto the bow of the ship for all to enjoy.

The weather in Germany may have been rainy, but spirits were high thanks to the completion of another maritime milestone for the Disney Treasure – the Keel Laying Ceremony. As a part of the ceremony, a newly minted coin is placed under the keel of the ship to foster good fortune for the ship and its crew in the years to come. Just like the steel cutting ceremony, keel laying traditions date back to the times of wooden ships. The coin itself is quite unique and depicts a carved portrait of Captain Minnie Mouse, sporting a fashionable new adventure outfit designed for the new ship.

The Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany received a very exciting delivery from Rostock, Germany– the Disney Treasure’s Floating Engine Room Unit! The Floating Engine Room Unit, sometimes called a FERU for short, is a critical piece when it comes to building the Disney Treasure. Upon the ship’s completion, the FERU will serve as the main source of power, housing the main motors and liquified natural gas tanks. The FERU is also where all the auxiliary machinery needed for cooling water, fuel, air supply and other essential support systems will be kept. The above picture shows the FERU during its journey from Denmark!
Another day at Meyer Werft shipyard, means they’re another step closer to completing the Disney Treasure. One way to recognize a Disney Cruise Line vessel is to look for the iconic red funnels standing proudly on the top deck. The Disney Treasure will follow the sleek, classic aesthetic of all Disney Cruise Line ships that have come before it, meaning it will continue upholding the tradition of featuring the eye-catching funnels. The second funnel has arrived at the shipyard from Poland. Pretty soon, it will receive a coat of bright red paint and be installed on the ship. It’s a thrilling time for the Disney Treasure as more and more pieces of the ship arrive.
The team at the Meyer Werft shipyard cut the first piece of steel for the Disney Treasure. Sparks were flying as a special machine called a plasma cutter, which is housed within the yard’s laser cutting room, was used to cut the steel in the shape of a Disney cruise ship. The ceremony was a huge milestone for the Disney Imagineers and crew building the Disney Treasure, marking the official start of construction.
One thing that makes this steel cutting ceremony so meaningful is it’s a continuation of a longtime maritime tradition. Ship builders have been honoring the beginning of the construction process for hundreds of years and it’s worth noting that even though the way ships are built has changed and steel has come to replace wooden materials, the spirit of the tradition lives on.

Disney Opens Eve Parking Lot in EPCOT. Epcot has been going through a major transformation for years now. With the addition of Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, the new Dreamers Point with Walt Statue, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, and new parking areas designated by our favorite characters.
One of the last parking areas that went under refurbishment is the new Eve (Wall-E) parking lot and drop-off. It is located next to the Wall-E parking area, a bit further from the entrance. Crews have also opened a walkway from the new parking lot using the old tram driving lanes. The tram areas have not returned in over three years, so I guess Disney is just using them as walkways now.
The new parking lot should only be used when the park is at high capacity due to the long walk to the front entrance of the park.
Spaceship Earth Pattern Spotted on CommuniCore Hall Spires in EPCOT. The multi-year transformation of EPCOT will soon reach another major milestone with the completion of the World Celebration neighborhood in late 2023.
With lush, green space for you to relax, plus the opening of Communicore Hall and Communicore Plaza, this central location in the park will be the new home for festivals and the perfect space to gather with family and friends. It will also be home to Dreamers Point, an inspiring new area where you can view the new Walt Disney statue called “Walt the Dreamer.”
We heard from Imagineer Zach Ridley a few months ago in an Instagram post talking about the little details that will appear in the new area, including the lights in the walkways, the manhole covers that will have the Epcot logo, the new central fountain, and planter that will have the 5 pathways leading from the center, where it will also be placed atop the Epcot logo.
Now we are able to see some of those small details. The new lighting spires that were recently installed are all adorned with the geodesic sphere pattern of Spaceship Earth.

Disney Extends Bob Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026
Today, the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company made an exciting announcement: Bob Iger will continue to lead as Chief Executive Officer until December 31, 2026. With unanimous support from the independent members of the Board, this extension reflects their recognition of Iger’s crucial role in providing leadership continuity during the company’s ongoing transformation. Moreover, it grants additional time to strategically implement a CEO succession plan, which remains a top priority for the Board. The future of Disney is bright under Iger’s continued guidance.
“Time and again, Bob has shown an unparalleled ability to successfully transform Disney to drive future growth and financial returns, earning him a reputation as one of the world’s best CEOs,” said Mark G. Parker, Chairman, The Walt Disney Company. “Bob has once again set Disney on the right strategic path for ongoing value creation, and to ensure the successful completion of this transformation while also allowing ample time to position a new CEO for long-term success, the Board determined it is in the best interest of shareholders to extend his tenure, and he has agreed to our request to remain Chief Executive Officer through the end of 2026.”
“Since my return to Disney just seven months ago, I’ve examined virtually every facet of our businesses to fully understand the tremendous opportunities before us, as well as the challenges we’ve been facing from the broader economic environment and the tectonic shifts in our industry. On my first day back, we began making important and sometimes difficult decisions to address some existing structural and efficiency issues, and despite the challenges, I believe Disney’s long-term future is incredibly bright,” said Iger. “But there is more to accomplish before this transformative work is complete, and because I want to ensure Disney is strongly positioned when my successor takes the helm, I have agreed to the Board’s request to remain CEO for an additional two years. The importance of the succession process cannot be overstated, and as the Board continues to evaluate a highly qualified slate of internal and external candidates, I remain intensely focused on a successful transition.”
Iger returned to the company in November of 2022 after serving as CEO and Chairman from 2005 to 2020, and then as Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board through 2021. Since returning as CEO, he has led a significant, enterprise-wide transformation to restore creativity to the center of the company and position Disney’s streaming business for sustained growth and profitability. Throughout his time as the company’s chief executive, Iger’s strategic vision has focused on three fundamental pillars: generating the best creative content possible; fostering innovation and utilizing the latest technology; and expanding into new markets across the globe.
Widely recognized as one of the world’s most consequential business leaders, Iger has built on Disney’s rich history of unforgettable storytelling with the acquisitions of Pixar (2006), Marvel (2009), Lucasfilm (2012), and 21st Century Fox (2019); the landmark opening of Disney’s first theme park and resort in mainland China, Shanghai Disney Resort; and the release of a number of record-setting films, including Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame, Disney’s Frozen and Frozen 2, and Marvel’s groundbreaking Black Panther. Always one to embrace new technology, Iger made Disney an industry leader through its creative content offerings across multiple new platforms, including the highly successful launch of the Disney+ streaming service in November 2019.
Iger first became Chief Executive Officer of Disney in October 2005 and was elected Chairman in 2012. From 2000-2005, he served as Disney’s President and Chief Operating Officer. Iger officially joined the Disney senior management team in 1996 as Chairman of the Disney-owned ABC Group, and in 1999 was given the additional responsibility of President, Walt Disney International. He began his career at ABC in 1974.
Iger was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2020, and the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2015. In 2022, he was recognized as an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his services to the UK/US relations. He is the author of the New York Times best-selling book The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, which has sold more than a million copies since its publication in 2019. He is a graduate of Ithaca College.
Disney Entertainment proudly announces 163 nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy® Awards across its content brands and studios, including ABC, ABC News Studios, Disney Branded Television, Disney+, Disney Television Studios (20th Television Animation, 20th Television and ABC Signature), FX, FX Productions, Hulu, National Geographic, Onyx Collective, Searchlight Pictures, Searchlight Television and Walt Disney Studios (20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd. and Marvel Studios). Disney’s streaming platforms have earned a total of 73 nominations with Disney+ and Hulu receiving 40 and 33 nominations, respectively.
The nominees were announced earlier today when Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) and Academy chair Frank Scherma took to the stage to share the 75th Emmy Awards nominees.
Star Wars series Obi Wan, Andor, and the Mandalorian garnered a whopping 22 nominations in total, including an Outstanding Drama Series nomination for Andor and an Outstanding Limited Series for Obi-Wan Kenobi. You can see an extended list of nominations at the Emmy’s Website.

Guests Now Able to Make Dining Reservations on Universal Orlando Resort App
Over on the East coast, Universal has added a new feature that has expanded the usefulness of the Universal Orlando Resort app: the ability to book dining reservations.
Universal has partnered with NexTable to provide the app based reservations, a “next generation, cloud based, reservation and table management system for the iPad.”
Guests interested in booking a dining reservation using the app will first need to navigate to their restaurant of choice in the app (currently, there is no central option to search for all available dining reservations within a specified day/time).
The ability to book dining reservations via the app is a nice new feature for guests at Universal Orlando Resort, and certainly ups the usability of the app. Note the ability to book a reservation is only available for table service locations, and appears to only be available for locations that take the Universal Dining Plan (reservations for Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, for example, are not currently available via the app).
