Tron Ares Adds Sarah Desjardins & Cameron Monaghan to Cast
Deadspin is reporting that we have added two more cast members to the upcoming Tron: Ares film now in production. Former Shameless star Cameron Monaghan will join Jared Leto and Evan Peters in the third film in the Tron Franchise from Disney. The film is set to follow Jared Leto’s character Ares, who plays a program on a journey to the human world.
Joachim Rรธnning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Kon-Tiki) is set to direct. The film was set to start in August, but that might be in jeopardy given the recent SAG/AFTRA strike.
Cameron Monaghan is best known for his portrayal of Ian Gallagher on the Emmy Award winning Showtime Comedy Shameless. Monaghan is no stranger to science-fiction; bringing Cal Kestis to life in two blockbuster Star Wars video games (Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor.) Rounding out the cast is Canadian actress, Sarah Desjardins from The Night Agent and Yellowjackets.

Disney Cruise Line Raises Prices at All Adult-Only Restaurants
Disney Cruise Line recently implemented price increases across their adults-only eateries on all their ships, as reported by USA Today.
At Palo on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy, as well as Palo Steakhouse on the Disney Wish, brunch or dinner prices have been raised from $45 to $50 per person.
On the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, Remy’s brunch now costs $80 per person, up from $75, while dinner prices have increased to $135 from $125. Dessert at Remy is now $65, previously $60. Enchantรฉ on the Disney Wish has also seen a $5 increase in brunch prices, from $75 to $80 per person.
Dessert at Enchantรฉ has risen from $60 to $65. The Passion and Collection dinner options are now priced at $135 and $205, respectively, up from $125 and $195.
A spokesperson for Disney Cruise Line attributed the price hikes to ongoing enhancements in the dining experience and menu selections.
“As we continue to make enhancements to the overall dining experience and menu selections.โ At dinner, guests can also select items a la carte at variable pricing.

Bob Iger says Disney will be Pulling Back on Marvel & Star Wars Content
According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, the company is reducing its pace in creating movies and TV series for its Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm franchises. In an interview with CNBC on Thursday, Iger explained that this decision is driven by a desire to cut costs, as recent films from Marvel to animation have failed to meet expectations at the box office.
The pullback serves two purposes: to concentrate on key priorities and as part of a cost containment initiative. Iger stated, “We are spending less on what we make and making less.” Earlier this year, Disney underwent a significant reorganization that included a budget reduction of $5.5 billion, with $3 billion allocated for cutting costs in non-sports content.
Iger emphasized that many decisions were made to strengthen Disney’s flagship streaming service, Disney+, and attract more subscribers. While acknowledging that Disney had faced some setbacks with Pixar animation releases in recent months, he specifically highlighted Marvel as an example of the company’s eagerness to expand its original content offerings on the streaming platform.
“Marvel is a great example of that. They had not been heavily involved in the television business before, and not only did they increase their movie production, but they also ventured into creating numerous TV series,” Iger explained. “However, this strategy ended up diluting focus and attention.”

Starting in 2018 and 2019, Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood delighted fans with the inclusion of “Stranger Things” in their houses and mazes.
Now, speculation has been circulating for a few weeks about an exciting new additionโa house based on “Stranger Things” that seems to draw inspiration from the fourth season.

This yearโs petrifying haunted house will once again transport guests to Hawkins, Indiana, where they will encounter the newest supernatural villain, Vecna, who is hell-bent on obliterating the volatile barrier between the eerie Upside Down and the real world in an attempt to reign supreme.
The โStranger Thingsโ haunted house mirrors the mind-bending twists and supernatural terror of Season 4, immersing guests in a heart-pounding experience alongside valiant characters from the series, including Eleven, Max, Eddie and more. Guests will find themselves on the front line of Vecna’s deadly attacks on the citizens of Hawkins while traveling through iconic scenes, including the notorious Hawkins Lab, the enigmatic Creel House and Vecna’s chilling mindscape. Rosario Dawson Stops by the Magic Kingdom to Be Your Ghost Host for the Haunted Mansion
Rosario Dawson, who plays “Gabbie” in the upcoming Haunted Mansion film, recently stopped by Magic Kingdom to give a personal tour of the Haunted Mansion attraction.
Dawson toured Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World and pointed out some classic inspirations that made it into the film.
She points out that the gargoyles and pictures in the stretching room can be seen in the movie along with the character of Madame Leota (played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the film). The dining room is one of Dawson’s favorite rooms that was filmed in. She shared that the dueling brothers are also in the movie.
And of course, the hitchhiking ghosts made it into the movie as well!
