Nightmare Forge Games is unveiling “Infestation 88”, an upcoming co-op survival horror game designed for 1-4 players. This chilling experience seeks to blend nostalgia with terror, drawing inspiration from the eerie atmosphere of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
By reimagining the iconic Steamboat Willie, now in the public domain, the game promises to deliver a much darker and scarier rendition. Currently developing for PC, Infestation 88 aims to provide a haunting and suspenseful gaming experience.
Nightmare Forge Games describes the game “In the year 1988, what was thought to be an outbreak of rodents in various locations morphed into something far more sinister.” The online game promises both public and private lobbies along with character customization and scalable enemies. Those interested in the game can add it to their wishlist on Steam.

Alex and Ani Store in Disney Springs to Permanently Close
Today marks the last day of operations for ALEX AND ANI at Disney Springs, and as of January 2nd, 2024, the beloved jewelry and accessory store will permanently close its doors.
This closure is part of a broader trend, as ALEX AND ANI is shuttering most of its brick-and-mortar stores across the nation. Interestingly, the retailer had recently relocated to a new spot in the Town Center at Disney Springs just this past summer.
The future of the vacant space remains uncertain, and there is currently no information on what will replace ALEX AND ANI at Disney Springs. As the retail landscape continues to evolve, anticipation builds for the exciting possibilities that may emerge in this prime location.

Happy New Year! It’s now 2024 and we’re taking a look at all of the new attractions and offerings that will be coming to the Disneyland Resort. From new rides coming to the parks to returning runDisney events, guests will have a lot to experience in the coming year!
Pixar Fest is set to make a comeback at Disneyland Resort, running from April 26 to August 4, 2024. The event will feature the debut of the daytime parade titled “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” at Disney California Adventure. Additionally, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” will make its return to Disneyland Park, showcasing new scenes for attendees to enjoy.
Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend
During the first days of January, Disneyland Resort is gearing up to host the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, marking their inaugural runDisney event since 2017. The registration process witnessed a complete sellout within just 90 minutes of opening. Looking ahead, a fresh Halloween Half Marathon Weekend is scheduled from September 5 to 8, 2024. Club runDisney members can secure their spots starting February 6, while general registration is set to commence on February 13.
Disney After Dark: Disney Channel Nite
Disney After Dark nights are returning to the Disneyland Resort this year. A new Disney Channel-themed night will be joining the regular Star Wars, Sweethearts, and Pride nights.

A limited number of Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite tickets will go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders beginning Dec. 12, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT) on Disneyland.com. On Dec. 14, 2023 (no earlier than 9 a.m. PT), tickets will go on sale to the general public and are subject to availability.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Launching in late 2024, the new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, is poised to enchant visitors at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. This immersive experience unfolds a year following the storyline of “The Princess and the Frog.” Tiana, the entrepreneurial force behind the employee-owned food co-op, Tiana’s Foods, has transformed an old salt dome into a hub for crop cultivation by her team. The ride takes participants on a journey with Tiana and Louis as they venture into the bayou in pursuit of a crucial ingredient for their Mardi Gras celebration. Star Tours
2024 will bring exciting updates to Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris, introducing novel destinations, some of which have never been explored before. Additionally, in the spring, the beloved character Ahsoka Tano will become a new addition to the ride.
Haunted Mansion
Commencing January 22, 2024, The Haunted Mansion is slated for an extensive refurbishment. This project encompasses the enhancement of the Haunted Mansion grounds, featuring an extended outdoor queue, fresh gardens, a fountain, a gazebo, a greenhouse, and a themed retail shop designed as a carriage house. While speculation suggests that the standard version of the attraction may not resume until early 2025, there’s a possibility that the revamped grounds could debut in the fall of 2024, coinciding with the return of the Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Avengers Campus Attraction
While the prospect of an opening in 2024 seems slim, Disney Imagineering is actively designing a multiverse attraction showcasing King Thanos for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. In the concept art unveiled in September 2023, the ride’s world-jumping vehicle is prominently featured.

Disney also announced an update to Test Track, which may begin at some point in 2024 although no official start date has been announced.
Hollywood Studios’ Classic Updates
Over in Hollywood Studios, get ready for a revamped Star Tours adventure featuring characters from the expansive Star Wars universe. And for those who love a good story, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is set to take the stage, bringing a refreshed tale of undersea enchantment.
Magic Kingdom’s Enchanting Additions
Magic Kingdom is introducing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a vibrant replacement for the beloved Splash Mountain, promising guests a journey filled with joy and celebration. Not forgetting the classics, the Country Bear Jamboree is getting an update too, ensuring the jamboree continues with new tunes and fun.
Animal Kingdom’s Wild New Show
Say goodbye to It’s Tough to Be a Bug and hello to a new Zootopia-themed attraction! This fresh show promises to bring more of the wild, animated fun that makes Animal Kingdom a unique park full of surprises. While news broke during Destination D23 of a replacement for Dinoland USA featuring Encanto and Indiana Jones, we have no news from Disney yet of this work starting in 2024.
Disney Vacation Club’s Exciting Expansions
Disney Vacation Club members have something special to look forward to with the new tower at Polynesian Village Resort and the additional cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, offering more options for a magical stay.
Disney Dining Plan, Park Hopping and Park Pass Updates
2024 also marks the much-awaited return of the Disney Dining Plan! This beloved offering allows guests to pre-purchase meals and snacks, ensuring a hassle-free and delicious dining experience throughout the parks and resorts. Get ready to savor the convenience and variety once again! Two levels of dining plan will be available: the Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan, with the Deluxe Dining Plan not announced to return this year.
In the world of park tickets, Disney World is bringing back all-day park hopping for all eligible guests as well as an end to park pass reservations for date-based tickets. This means more flexibility and spontaneity for your magical adventure! Get ready to hop between parks to your heart’s content and immerse yourself fully in the Disney experience.
Disney is also enhancing your park experience with the ability to select Disney Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane options before the day of your visit. This added convenience means you can plan ahead and maximize your time enjoying the attractions! No word yet on how exactly this will work, although we expect it to be similar to the previous method of reserving FastPass+ reservations.
Adding to the excitement at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, get ready for the delectable Cake Bake Shop and the savory Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, offering more tasty options to your Disney dining experience!
