Two updates to the Disneyland and Walt Disney World Dining Reservation process will make it easier to book those advanced dining reservations
Great news for everyone looking to book dining reservations at Walt Disney World or Disneyland soon. Disney is releasing some enhancements that will make the booking process a whole lot easier.
The updates will increase visibility for both menu and reservations options on the website and associated apps. With the new update, you will be able to see all reservation slots available for your selected dining location and desired reservation time. Currently, the apps and websites only show a few options available during the selected time period.
The second option will sort reservation availability by meal period. This will increase transparency into what menu is available during the time you are booking the reservation for, avoiding the surprise of booking a 4 pm lunch reservation only to arrive at the restaurant and discover the dinner menu is actually what is being served.
These updates are slated to roll out in phases across the website and iOS and Android platforms.
Guests with a Valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation: reservations are available for entire length of stay (up to 10 nights) 60 days prior to your check in date. The dining reservation window opens at 6am ET online.
All Other Guests: reservations available up to 60 days in advance, starting at 6:00 am ET online.

Disney Moves Happily Ever After Showtimes Earlier in August and September 2023
Disney’s Happily Ever After showtimes have been moved for August and September this year. The classic nighttime spectacular will now be performed earlier in the evening.
Since its debut in 2017, Happily Ever After has been enchanting audiences with a breathtaking display of fireworks, dazzling projections, and a heartwarming musical score. The show takes spectators on a magical journey, uniting Disney characters from across generations in a tale of hope, dreams, and the power of believing in oneself. As the castle illuminates and beloved Disney songs fill the air, guests are transported into a world where magic is real and happily ever afters are possible for everyone.
Beginning on August 9, Happily Ever After will be performed at 9 pm instead of 9:20 pm nightly. Then on September 18 the show will move once again to a different time. It’ll be performed at 8:30 pm nightly. The spectacular won’t be performed, however, on the nights that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party takes place. “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” will be performed for party guests on the following nights:

Billy Dee Williams Teases Major Star Wars Announcement
The Lando Calrissian Disney+ series is moving full steam ahead at Lucasfilm. Just yesterday news broke that Donald Glover and his brother would be taking over writing responsibilities with his brother. Now today, actor Billy Dee Williams took to Twitter to tease a major Star Wars Announcement coming soon. Williams originated the role of Lando in the Empire Strikes Back in 1980.
Williams shared an exciting message, “I am thrilled to share that something truly magnificent is coming soon,” Williams shared on Twitter. “This is a dream come true for me, on all that has sustained and carried me through a lifetime of dreams and adventure, it is my honor to share with you. Make sure to enable notifications for stories and posts to stay in the loop, you don’t want to miss this… May the Force be with you all.”
Speculation has Williams returning in some form to the Lando series, but this tweet implies that perhaps he has a larger role than originally anticipated. Glover recently told Dealine, “I would love to play Lando again. It’s a fun time to be him. It just has to be the right, it just needs to be the right way to do it.”
Lucasfilm is gearing up for Ahsoka on August 23, exclusively on Disney+. While there are other Star Wars projects in the pipeline, Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that Lucasfilm and Disney will be creating less Star Wars and Marvel content moving forward.
