Train Station in Magic Kingdom Receives Halloween Makeover
The train station in Magic Kingdom has received a Halloween makeover! And it wasn’t just applied to the train station itself. The Mickey Mouse floral below it received an upgrade as well.
While the train station now features red, yellow, and orange banners, the Mickey Mouse floral now features a more spooky design. Mickey Mouse is now wearing a domino mask. But don’t miss out on the floral around him!
The design has gone batty! The flowers around Mickey now feature large black bats, and one even has a large black spider.

So far, we’ve seen a couple of Halloween candy apples. One is decorated to look like a Mickey Jack-o-Lantern while the other looks like a Minnie witch. The Jack-o-Lantern apple is $11.99 while the witch one is $12.99.
There are a few Halloween inspired cupcakes as well. One to match the Minnie witch apple, one that looks like a pumpkin, and one that looks like it might be a spice cake with orange and white sprinkles. The cupcakes are available for $5.49.
And we can’t forget the rice cereal treat that is decorated to look like a Mickey Jack-o-Lantern and the sugar cookie decorated like a spider web. Both are available for $5.99.

Both interior and exterior progress is evident on the Grand Floridian Resort Construction
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been undergoing a large-scale renovation project needed to ensure the resort maintains the standards fitting the flagship resort. The renovation of Cítricos to a new Mary-Poppins themed design, the transformation of the lounge area into the Beauty and the Beast themed Enchanted Rose Lounge, and the updates to the Grand Floridian Spa are all results of this large-scale upgrade project.
The latest phase of the Grand Floridian Resort Construction is aimed at renovating the interior of the resorts, upgrading the rooms to fit the new theme of the resort. The interior walls and flooring evident in the lobby is designed to protect the interior of the lobby from the work being done to the resort rooms. Since July, we have seen the protective flooring and elements extended further into the lobby.
Scaffolding is evident on the main building of the resort, which impacts the exterior seating of Gasparilla Island Grill.
Several other buildings in the resort have already been renovated, receiving both completely renovated rooms as well as updates to the siding and roof.
The building construction has also resulted in protective barriers being erected in the outside walkways.
Once completed, all rooms and buildings within the Grand Floridian will be completely renovated, including the lobby.

The tower is really starting to take shape, reaching up to a height of 9 stories in the tallest areas.
From the exterior, the room balconies and tower elevator shafts are evident. You can also see evidence of exterior work on the building from the outside.
Construction on the new DVC tower is slated to wrap sometime in 2024. While artist renderings do depict a finished building that fits the theme of the Polynesian Village Resort, it remains to be seen how well the new tower will blend into the skyline of both the Polynesian as well as the nearby Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

Star of Ahsoka, Rosario Dawson took to YouTube for an energizing recap of Ahsoka’s backstory. Set after the fall of the Empire, “Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Dawson recaps a brief history of the dual lightsaber wielding Jedi, and introduces her compatriots Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla. Chopper stops by to say hello and reminds us that Ahsoka is only days away, premiering on August 23rd with episodes.
Ahsoka is created by David Filoni and is rated TV-14. Ahsoka stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, and Diana Lee Inosanto.
Taylor Swift Rumored to Appear as Dazzler in Deadpool 3
Could the biggest pop star on the planet be joining the MCU? Rumors surfaced online that Taylor Swift will be appearing as one of several cameos slated for the upcoming Deadpool 3. CBR has suggested that Swift could portray Dazzler from the Marvel Universe.
Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds shared that he would love to work with Taylor Swift back in November. Reynolds told Entertainment Tonight, “I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius.”
“Dazzler,” also known as Alison Blaire, is a mutant character from Marvel Comics. She possesses the unique ability to convert sound vibrations into various forms of light and energy. With a career that has spanned both music and superheroism, Dazzler is a multifaceted character with a distinctive presence.

The coaster will close on September 18th for refurbishment but there is no set reopening date. The Disneyland website says the ride will reopen in “mid-fall 2023”.
The refurbishment is most likely just for regular maintenance but the timing would also line up for bringing back the “Ghost Galaxy” holiday layover. Disney has not announced that the layover will be returning this year and it hasn’t been installed in several years. While we’re hopeful Disneyland will bring back “Ghost Galaxy”, chances are slim it will return after this refurbishment.

Bananas Foster French Toast Returns to Olivia’s Cafe Due to Guest Demand
Guest-favorite Bananas Foster French Toast has returned to Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort! This dish was so popular, the restaurant just had to bring it back.
The Bananas Foster French Toast is available during Brunch at Olivia’s Cafe. Brunch runs from 7:30 am to 2 pm daily. You won’t see this dish on the online menu but we recently got to enjoy it when we were there last week. The French toast is served with berries and the syrup had caramelized bananas.

New Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Exclusive Merchandise Available At Magic Kingdom!
Last night we attended the first Halloween party of the year and found new Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party exclusive merchandise that you can only get when you attend this spooktacular event at Magic Kingdom Park.
Let’s start with the spirit jerseys, the first one features an all over pattern of purple spiderwebs and Mickey icons at the bottom and “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party” logo in neon green letters across the back. A must have if you are attending the party for sure!
The second spirit jersey features the Sanderson Sisters flying on their brooms on the back with the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” in orange across the back, the rest of the jersey features a sparkly pattern with stars. You can get both designs for $79.99 each.
There’s also a travel tumbler for $29.99 featuring Mickey Mouse dressed up as Dracula holding a jack-o-lantern with Cinderella castle in the back. You can also start your morning with a “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party” mug featuring Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween costumes ready for some trick or treating! The mug retails for $16.99.
A Hocus Pocus Stemless Glass by Corkcicle is available for $39.99, it features the Sanderson Sisters, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular logo and “witching hour returns!” text at the bottom. The rest of the glass is glittery black with silver stars all around.
Pin collectors will love to add these 4 new “Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party” pins to their collection, three of them feature Mickey & friends while the fourth one is inspired in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
Other stuff we found include a Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Ornament with the party logo on the back and the Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor’s Car Bucket available only at the party.
McDonald’s & Marvel Team Up to Release a Special Sauce for Season 2 of Loki
McDonald’s is collaborating with Loki to conjure up a new special sauce ahead of the show’s season two premiere on Disney+. Loki drops on October 6th exclusively on the streaming service, but you can score this new dipping sauce in the coming weeks. McDonald’s started stirring up mischief on X (Formerly Twitter) on August 7th with a video.
The post features McDonald’s ads over the years with an ever so brief clip from the Loki Season 2 trailer. In the frame you can see Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie working at the iconic fast food chain. The new special sauce was leaked online showing a green lid with Marvel Studios and Loki branding. This might just be a branding promotion and not an actual new sauce, but we will have to wait for August 14th to find out.
Loki season two premiers on October 6th exclusively on Disney+. “Loki Special Sauce” will be available at McDonald’s locations starting on August 14th. Time slip to the nearest restaurant and give us a review in a comment.
