Madame Leota received a fresh new hairdo during the recent Haunted Mansion refurbishment

The Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World recently closed for a refurbishment, leading to a ton of guest speculation about the installation occurring during the closure. Disney stuck to the schedule and did not install our new happy haunt, but they did update one iconic attraction-Madame Leota now has a new hairstyle!

Guests who rode the attraction following the refurb immediately notice Leota’s new hairstyle.

Madame Leota now has a very distinct hairstyle, which is different from the ethereal floaty-type hair she had previously.

Hatbox Ghost

Many fans were hopeful the recent refurbishment would see the installation of the Hatbox Ghost at Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion.

Disney has previously announced: “Later this year at the Walt Disney World Resort, one of our most iconic specters will set up residence in the Haunted Mansion of Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom Park. The Hatbox Ghost will appear to guests as they pass the Endless Hallway, welcoming himself inside from the swinging wake in the cemetery and grinning at the Doom Buggies as they set off deeper into the mansion. Guests will soon see temporary barriers materialize as we await his apparition.”

The area that Disney indicated would be the installation point for the Hatbox Ghost, just to the left of the Endless Hallway, has been blocked off for the installation.

No specific date for the Hatbox Ghost reveal at Walt Disney World has been announced.

More Cast Member Previews Announced for Moana’s Journey of Water in EPCOT

It has been revealed that starting August 22nd, there will be another Disney Cast Member opportunity for individuals to register for a preview of the upcoming attraction. Those keen on experiencing the attraction prior to its official opening are encouraged to secure their spot by registering. Further specifics regarding this preview event will be communicated in the near future.

Last month, a limited preview was conducted exclusively for certain Cast Members. However, this upcoming preview seems to encompass a larger audience. The exclusive Cast preview phase for this attraction is set to continue until August 19th, although the specific date range for this new sneak peek has not been disclosed.

Although Disney has only provided a general timeframe of “Fall 2023” for the attraction’s official opening, it appears that the attraction has been largely completed for quite some time now.

Train Station in Magic Kingdom Receives Halloween Makeover

The train station in Magic Kingdom has received a Halloween makeover! And it wasn’t just applied to the train station itself. The Mickey Mouse floral below it received an upgrade as well.

While the train station now features red, yellow, and orange banners, the Mickey Mouse floral now features a more spooky design. Mickey Mouse is now wearing a domino mask. But don’t miss out on the floral around him!

The design has gone batty! The flowers around Mickey now feature large black bats, and one even has a large black spider.

Halloween Treats Now Available at the Magic Kingdom

Halloween treats have arrived at Magic Kingdom! From cookies to cupcakes to rice cereal treats, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.

So far, we’ve seen a couple of Halloween candy apples. One is decorated to look like a Mickey Jack-o-Lantern while the other looks like a Minnie witch. The Jack-o-Lantern apple is $11.99 while the witch one is $12.99.

There are a few Halloween inspired cupcakes as well. One to match the Minnie witch apple, one that looks like a pumpkin, and one that looks like it might be a spice cake with orange and white sprinkles. The cupcakes are available for $5.49.

And we can’t forget the rice cereal treat that is decorated to look like a Mickey Jack-o-Lantern and the sugar cookie decorated like a spider web. Both are available for $5.99.
