Rumors surfaced online that Disney is developing a live-action remake of The Princess and the Frog. Now there are continued rumors that Walt Disney is considering filling the role of Tiana with Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o.
Nyong’o is no stranger to working with Disney, and has portrayed “Nakia” in both Black Panther films and “Maz Kanata” in all three of Disney’s Star Wars sequels. Lupita Amondi Nyong’o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress, producer, and author who quickly rose to international prominence for her exceptional talent, inspiring performances, and dedication to social issues.

After completing her studies at the Yale School of Drama, Lupita made her feature film debut in 2013 with a groundbreaking role in “12 Years a Slave,” directed by Steve McQueen. In an upcoming interview with CNBC, scheduled to air tonight at 7 p.m. ET on August 14, Governor Ron DeSantis reveals that he has put behind him the disputes with The Walt Disney Company and is advocating for the resolution of the entire matter.

During his conversation with Brian Sullivan, the Florida Governor urged the company to cease its ongoing legal disputes, which emerged as a result of a series of events that strained the relationship between Disney and DeSantis.
Most recently, Governor DeSantis and his legal team have once again asserted immunity, seeking to have the Disney lawsuit dismissed from court on these grounds.
They are suing the state of Florida. They are going to lose that lawsuit. So what I would say is: drop the lawsuit. You have the state that even CNBC ranks as number one of all 50 states for the economy.
DeSantis’ attorneys argue that both the governor and the Secretary of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity lack specific, formal authority to enforce the contested laws. Consequently, Disney is deemed to “lack standing and cannot overcome the State Defendants’ sovereign immunity,” rendering its claims also “precluded by legislative immunity.”
Disney has announced that ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ is returning to the Disney+ streaming service in October 2023. This heartwarming and comedic film was directed by Chris Columbus, released in 1993.
Mrs Doubtfire follows the story of Daniel Hillard (played by Robin Williams), a talented but irresponsible voice actor who loves his children deeply. When his wife Miranda (played by Sally Field) files for divorce and gains custody of their three children, Daniel’s desperation to stay close to his kids leads him to a creative and daring plan. He transforms into a British nanny named Mrs Euphegenia Doubtfire, using his acting skills to maintain a double life.
As Mrs Doubtfire, he gets hired by Miranda as the new nanny, allowing him to be close to his children in disguise. Hilarity ensues as Daniel navigates the challenges of maintaining his dual identity and trying to win back his family’s affection.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, an adorable scavenger hunt, is returning to Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort next month! This is a really cute activity that doesn’t require a park ticket.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit gets guests into the spirit of the Halloween season from September 8 to November 1, 2023 or while supplies last.
Guests can purchase a map and stickers for $9.99 plus tax. Then, have fun searching for hidden decorative pumpkins based on Disney characters throughout Downtown Disney and placing the corresponding stickers on your map. You can then return your map to a redemption location for a gourd-ful keepsake.
Disney shared a look at the prizes for the scavenger hunt! There are 5 different mini sippers in the shape of pumpkins. Each is themed to a different character which includes: Stitch, Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. How stinkin’ cute are these prizes?!

The new Avengers Vault retail location will be opening next month in Avengers Campus at the Disneyland Resort! Yesterday, Disney shared a sneak peek at some of the merchandise that will be available at the new store.

Disneyland Resort guests will be able to find Super Hero gear at a new retail location opening in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park! Avengers Vault will feature Infinity Saga Relics arriving at the Disneyland Resort for the first time, apparel and other fan-favorite merchandise also available at other locations around the Disneyland Resort, including at The Collector’s Warehouse, WEB Suppliers and Supply Pod.
The photo shows merchandise like Thanos’ gauntlet, the Tesseract, Loki’s scepter, and the Time Stone among other things.

The Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World recently closed for a refurbishment, leading to a ton of guest speculation about the installation occurring during the closure. Disney stuck to the schedule and did not install our new happy haunt, but they did update one iconic attraction-Madame Leota now has a new hairstyle!

Guests who rode the attraction following the refurb immediately notice Leota’s new hairstyle.
Madame Leota now has a very distinct hairstyle, which is different from the ethereal floaty-type hair she had previously.

Hatbox Ghost
Many fans were hopeful the recent refurbishment would see the installation of the Hatbox Ghost at Walt Disney World’s Haunted Mansion.
Disney has previously announced: “Later this year at the Walt Disney World Resort, one of our most iconic specters will set up residence in the Haunted Mansion of Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom Park. The Hatbox Ghost will appear to guests as they pass the Endless Hallway, welcoming himself inside from the swinging wake in the cemetery and grinning at the Doom Buggies as they set off deeper into the mansion. Guests will soon see temporary barriers materialize as we await his apparition.”

The area that Disney indicated would be the installation point for the Hatbox Ghost, just to the left of the Endless Hallway, has been blocked off for the installation.
