EPCOT Cast Members get First Look at CommuniCore Hall Mural from EPCOT

Recently, Cast Members got a first look at the CommuniCore Hall Mural that is coming to the new CommuniCore Hall in Epcot! CommuniCore Hall, which opens later this year, will have a gallery space, as well as a demo kitchen, mixology bar, and Mickey & Friends meet and greet space.

The mural is inspired by all things Epcot past and present. A monorail track runs through the image with Spaceship Earth-inspired designs in the background. Mickey and Minnie in their retro space suits are at the center of the mural. To the left of Minnie is a dinosaur from Universe of Energy.

You’ll also see Dreamfinder’s Dream Mobile airship, Figment, and a Nova Corps Star Blaster in the mural. The robot butler from the defunct Horizons is in the mural with rocket taking off behind him. Goofy flies in a spaceship around The Land Pavilion’s greenhouse and Donald swims with fish and a diver.

There are lots of Epcot Easter eggs to be seen in the mural!

An exact opening date for CommuniCore Hall has not been announced but we know it will not be open in time for the Disney100 Celebration at Epcot which starts next month.

Disney’s All-Star Sports is the last of the All-Star resorts to receive much-needed upgrades

Disney’s All-Star Resorts have been receiving some much-needed attention recently, with the All-Star Sports resort the last of the three All-Star resorts to receive an upgrade. We have some photos for you of what the rooms look like now post-upgrade!

Disney’s All-Star Sports is one of the three immersively-themed All-Star Resorts at Walt Disney World. Designed to salute the world of competitive sports, including baseball, basketball, football, surfing, and tennis, All-Star Sports is a value resort that will provide the perfect home away from home for the sports-obsessed family members in your traveling party.

The refurb of these rooms carries a theme and feel that is consistent with the other All-Star Resorts, as well as upgrades at other Value resorts such as Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

This room features a queen bed as well as a queen-size Murphy bed. When closed, the Murphy bed area provides a table for guests to sit at.

The rooms have a clean look and a modern feel, providing a much-needed update to this very popular resort.

Work to Begin on Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Ship

Work will finally begin ramping up on Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship

The process of transforming Global Dream for Disney Cruise Line has commenced this month at MV Werften Wismar, overseen by the Meyer Group, marking a significant milestone after months of uncertainty surrounding the project’s fate. The anticipated completion date for this transformation is set for either 2025 or potentially by 2026 at the latest.

According to reporting by Seatrade Cruise News, MV Werften’s administrator, Christoph Morgen, recently symbolically handed over a key to the Wismar shipyard to Bernard Meyer, the Managing Director of Meyer Group. This symbolic gesture has paved the way for the ongoing work on the vessel.

This project involves reducing the ship’s capacity and facilitating the use of environmentally friendly green methanol. Once the transformation is complete, the ship, now renamed, will be operated by Disney from its base in Singapore.

In the wake of Disney’s confirmation of acquiring Global Dream, progress remained stagnant for several months as the vessel was kept at MV Werften with minimal preparations to resume construction. Concerns from local trade union representatives and regional politicians arose in June due to uncertainty surrounding the shipyard’s status. During this period, there was ambiguity regarding whether a contract between Meyer and Disney had been finalized. A representative from the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern federal state parliament even admitted to not being aware of any such contract in mid-June.

Disney-Cruise-Line-Raises-Prices-at-All-Adult-Only-Restaurants

Initial indications from Disney in March suggested that the ship would start operating out of Singapore by 2025. However, recent rumors point toward a potential completion date of 2026 for the vessel’s transformation. Despite the timeline uncertainty, the ship was briefly visible in July as the dock gate opened, revealing its hull adorned with the dark livery as previewed in a rendering released by Disney the previous November.
