Ravensburger Offers an Early Glimpse into Disney Lorcana TCG’s 2024 Lineup
Today, Ravensburger, a renowned publisher of award-winning board games, premium toys, and puzzles, has revealed a segment of the 2024 Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game series. This includes the introduction of new products, details about competitive events, and announcements regarding Organized Play activations. Ravensburger also disclosed the official on-sale dates for the four sets scheduled to launch throughout the year.

The Disney Lorcana TCG is rolling out a fresh standalone product known as Disney Lorcana TCG Gateway, a step-by-step learn-as-you-play experience crafted to gently guide newcomers into the game and TCG scene. This ultimate beginner’s introduction to Disney Lorcana TCG comes complete with everything for two players to dive right in: two 30-card basic Disney Lorcana TCG decks, a game board for two players with character standees, rulebooks, player’s guides, and extra cards that players earn to enhance their decks as they grasp card types and gameplay.
After navigating through Gateway, players will have constructed two standard Disney Lorcana TCG decks ready for play with friends. Gateway hits the shelves on August 9, 2024, at a retail price of $24.99 USD. It’s a two-player game suitable for ages 8 and up.
Exciting news awaits seasoned players in 2024 with regard to competitive and organized play events. Ravensburger is set to kick off an official competitive circuit in North America and Europe come May 2024, known as Disney Lorcana Challenge.
These events commence at a regional level, allowing players to vie for spots in the North American and European Championships. Top performers will secure invites to the World Championship scheduled for early 2025. The top four players from each event will qualify for their respective regional Championships.
Additional details include:
- North American and European Championship events are in the works for the 2024 Holiday season. Players can qualify by participating in regional Challenge Events, with an additional opportunity to qualify at the event itself.
- The 2025 World Championship will be an invite-only competition held at a larger open event.
Stay tuned for more information on the Disney Lorcana TCG full event schedule, registration, rules, prize cards, and other prize details, to be revealed on the Disney Lorcana TCG official site (disneylorcana.com) this March.
At the local level, Ravensburger will also debut a new type of in-store Organized Play event – Set Championships – starting in April 2024, after the release of the Into the Inklands set. Select Disney Lorcana TCG Organized Play–approved locations may host an Into the Inklands Championship, which includes a unique Enchanted Stitch – Rock Star Promo card that is only available as a prize at the Into the Inklands Championships.
The top two players at the event can also win a playmat featuring the new Stitch – Rock Star artwork. Details for how retailers can host an Into the Inklands Championship will come in late February 2024.
Finally, Ravensburger previously announced plans to release four sets per year. Disney Lorcana TCG fans can mark their calendars with the following official on-sale dates:
