Universal Orlando Releases Full 2026 Events and Experiences Guide With Year-Round Fun

The party calendar is officially stacked at Universal Orlando Resort. Universal has unveiled its 2026 Events and Experiences Guide, giving fans a first look at a full year of festivals, seasonal celebrations, limited-time offerings, and special hotel and CityWalk happenings that go far beyond the rides. Whether you are planning a quick weekend escape or plotting a full-on theme park takeover, 2026 is shaping up to be a greatest hits tour of Universal favorites with a few magical twists along the way.

The year kicks off with Rock the Universe returning to Universal Studios Florida January 23 and 24, bringing Florida’s biggest Christian music festival back for a high-energy weekend of faith, fun, and powerful performances. From there, the beads start flying as Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval runs February 7 through April 4, featuring colorful floats, live concerts on select nights, and a food lineup inspired by New Orleans and global cuisine.

Late summer into fall delivers the scream season fans live for as Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights returns for its 35th anniversary on select nights from August 28 through November 1, promising an all-new slate of haunted houses, scare zones, shows, and themed food and drinks. The year wraps in tinsel and cheer with Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort from November 14 through January 3, 2027, including Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Grinchmas, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, festive décor across all 11 hotels, and New Year’s Eve celebrations throughout the destination.

Wizarding World fans will want to circle multiple dates as special limited-time offerings roll out throughout the year in celebration of the first Harry Potter film’s 25th anniversary. Butterbeer Season runs from March 1 through May 31, featuring limited-edition treats and merchandise that celebrate the iconic drink. Back to Hogwarts takes place August 1 through September 1, marking the traditional return-to-school timeframe in the stories. Dark Arts returns this fall with the Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle projection show in Hogsmeade and roaming Death Eaters in Diagon Alley. Universal also confirmed the return of Volcano Bay Nights, giving guests the chance to enjoy the water park after dark, with dates to be announced later.

New Butterbeer Counter Opens in Universal Citywalk cover

Passholder Appreciation Days presented by Coca-Cola will run from August 15 through September 30, offering exclusive perks across the resort. Guests can look forward to Mardi Gras After Parties and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at Pat O’Brien’s, Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby watch parties at NBC Sports Grill & Brew, and the always-popular Red Coconut Club transformations including the Cursed Coconut Club for Mardi Gras, the Dead Coconut Club during Halloween Horror Nights, and the Green & Red Coconut Club for the holidays. CityWalk will also host viewing parties for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and Telemundo’s Spanish-language FIFA World Cup coverage, along with summer movie and music series events.

Hotel guests have plenty to look forward to as well, with Acoustic Brunch every Sunday at Hard Rock Hotel’s The Kitchen, Wantilan Luau dinners at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Harbor Nights at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel on select dates throughout the year, Velvet Sessions and Velvet Unplugged concerts at Hard Rock Hotel, and a U.S. Hunger meal-packing event in November. Seasonal holiday dining will also be available at several hotels, including Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.

More details about this year’s events will be released throughout the year, but one thing is clear. If 2026 had a theme, it would be “why choose one season when you can do them all.”

An evening of Disney magic on the Disneyland Monorail took an unexpected turn tonight when a power outage left dozens of guests stranded high above the park, necessitating a large-scale rescue operation by first responders.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, approximately 60 people were trapped aboard the Disneyland Monorail after the system lost power in the late afternoon. The train came to a sudden halt on the tracks near the iconic Space Mountain attraction, leaving passengers suspended between stations.

Disneyland officials confirmed that the outage impacted two separate trains during the peak of the park’s afternoon rush.

Disneyland Resort has officially confirmed that the indoor area of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel will be temporarily closing its doors for a scheduled refurbishment. While the legendary “skip” might be taking a short break from the spotlight, this refresh ensures the jungle oasis remains shipshape for years to come.

Disneyland Resort has officially confirmed that the indoor seating area of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel will be closing for refurbishment beginning February 17, 2026.

The announcement follows a construction permit filed by Disney in October, which tipped off fans that a refresh was on the horizon. This maintenance period will allow the crew to complete specific upgrades and interior work to keep the jungle retreat in top shape.

“DLH – Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar – Tenant Improvement: Replace (42) gas tiki torches with epoxy anchors at exterior. Install air conditioner at electrical room. Replace interior show effects, show lighting and lighting systems. With mechanical, electrical and plumbing.”

Based on the recently filed permits, this refurbishment will primarily impact the bar’s famous themed interior. This means the Jungle Cruise-inspired decor and the interactive “magic” triggered by signature drinks will be temporarily offline while the crew goes to work.

The good news is that the jungle isn’t completely closed! The outdoor bar and patio seating will remain fully operational, allowing guests to continue enjoying their favorite tropical cocktails and appetizers under the stars.

While Disneyland has yet to reveal a specific reopening date or the full extent of the renovations, we will keep you updated as more details emerge.

The Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club and Disneyland Resort have just shared an exciting preview of the special offerings coming to Anaheim Ducks Day! This fan-favorite event returns to Disney California Adventure Park on February 22, 2026, bringing a full day of hockey-themed magic, exclusive merchandise, and unique activities to the park.

Disney Adventure Departs Germany for Global Journey to Singapore

The newest crown jewel of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Adventure, officially began its highly anticipated global odyssey on Sunday, January 4, 2026. The massive vessel set sail from Bremerhaven, Germany, marking the start of a multi-month repositioning voyage that will ultimately lead to its new homeport in Singapore.

A Grand Departure

The ship’s exit from the German shipyard was a sight to behold, captured by maritime enthusiasts and shared widely across social media. The channel Unimedien shared sweeping footage of the ship navigating the port of Bremerhaven, while UNDERWAY USING ENGINE provided a closer, more detailed look at the vessel as it utilized its own power to begin the first leg of its journey.

This departure is the culmination of a complex construction and transition period. After floating out of the construction hall in Wismar, Germany, in late April 2025, the ship underwent 260 days of additional outfitting and rigorous sea trials. The project reached a major milestone on December 16, 2025, when the ship was officially handed over from shipbuilder Meyer Werft to Disney Cruise Line during a formal delivery ceremony.

The Long Way Round: From the Atlantic to Asia

While the Disney Adventure’s final destination is Southeast Asia, its route is taking a strategic path across the Atlantic. The ship is currently estimated to arrive in Freeport, Bahamas, on January 14, before moving on to Port Canaveral, Florida. These stops at Disney’s primary operational hubs will allow for final provisioning and crew training.

From Florida, the one-of-a-kind ship will continue its journey westward, crossing through the Panama Canal and traversing the Pacific. This historic trek is all leading up to its official 3-night maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026.

A New Chapter for Disney Cruise Line

At approximately 208,000 gross tons, the Disney Adventure is the largest ship in the Disney fleet and the first to be based permanently in Asia. Originally acquired as an unfinished hull, Disney has reimagined the vessel to feature seven distinct themed areas, including Disney Imagination Garden, Marvel Landing, and San Fransokyo Street.

Based at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, the ship will offer 3- and 4-night itineraries, bringing the signature Disney “resort at sea” experience to a brand-new region. With the ship now officially underway, the countdown has begun for its historic debut in Singapore this March.

Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket Brings Big Savings for Early 2026 Visits

Florida residents have a new reason to plan a Walt Disney World trip in early 2026, thanks to the return of the Discover Disney Ticket. This special offer is available exclusively to Florida residents and provides access to all four theme parks at a significantly reduced per-day price. The ticket can be used at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, making it a solid option for locals looking to spread out their park days without breaking the bank.

The Discover Disney Ticket is available in two versions. Florida residents can purchase a 4-day ticket for $64 per day, plus tax, totaling $ 256, or a 3-day ticket for $79 per day, plus tax, totaling $ 237. Tickets are valid for use from January 12 through May 16, 2026, and require advance park reservations. One of the biggest perks is flexibility, as the ticket can be used on consecutive or nonconsecutive days and even allows guests to visit the same park multiple times across their ticket days.

In addition to the Discover Disney Ticket, Disney is also offering a Florida resident exclusive 2 day, 2 park ticket valid only for EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom for $190 plus tax. This option is valid from January 12 through April 18, 2026, and does not include Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. As with all Florida resident tickets, proof of residency is required at park entry, reservations are limited, and availability is not guaranteed as dates fill up.
