“Walk in Walt’s Footsteps” is returning as a premium, two-hour guided tour that offers an entirely new way to experience the parks. In an exciting update to the classic format, this reimagined historical journey will now officially begin inside Disney California Adventure. This new starting point allows the tour to bridge the gap between Walt’s early days as an ambitious young animator arriving in California and the ultimate realization of his theme park dreams.
During this separate add-on experience, guests will be fully immersed in captivating stories, rare anecdotes, and the enduring legacy of Walt Disney. Led by an expert guide, the tour blends historical narrative with theme park magic, allowing participants to enjoy iconic attractions along the way. The absolute highlight of the experience is the rare, exclusive access to Walt Disney’s private apartment, located directly above the Fire House on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland. Stepping inside this historic, beautifully preserved space offers fans an intimate glimpse into where Walt and his family spent their time during the park’s earliest days.
This updated tour is officially scheduled to debut on August 14, 2026.
