Celebrate the grand opening of the The Villas At The Disneyland Hotel with this new merchandise featuring hoodies, shirts, Minnie ears, bags and more! Take a look, we love everything:

The hoodie features a cozy gray color with The Villas at Disneyland Hotel logo on the front and across the back, there’s also a ring tee with the same artwork and a light pink shirt with the mural at the villas featuring Tiana, Mickey, Tinkerbell and other Disney characters.

Lug has two tote bags, in a small and large size with an all over pattern of geometric shapes and characters like Sorcerer Mickey, Tinker Bell, Aurora, Tiana and more. It remind us to the type of art Mary Blair is known for.

Magic Kingdom Resort Boat Transportation is finally returning!

Resort hopping is a great way to spend a fun day at Walt Disney World. Guests can utilize the monorail to hop between the resorts on that loop (Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian), and the Skyliner is a great way to resort hop between Caribbean Beach, Riviera, and Pop Century. A third popular resort hopping transportation choice returning, with the Magic Kingdom Resort Boat Transportation route resuming on October 1.

Magic Kingdom Resort Boat Transportation ferries guests between the Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, and Wilderness Lodge. An announcement noting the return of the boat transportation was made on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community on September 29th.

October 1st will mark the first guest transportation along the ‘Blue Route’ since before the parks closed due to COVID.

Fans Pay Tribute to the Late Sir Michael Gambon at Universal Orlando

Yesterday Harry Potter fans paid tribute to the late Sir Michael Gambon at Universal Orlando with a special wand raising at Hogwarts Castle. The last time this was done was when Robbie Coltrane passed away back in October 2022.

Hundreds of people lined up at Hogwarts Castle in Universal Orlando around 7 pm to raise their wands in tribute to Sir Michael Gambon who played Dumbledore in the hit franchise Harry Potter.

Sir Michael Gambon Actor who played Dumbledore in Harry Potter Passes Away Peacefully

Esteemed actor Sir Michael Gambon has peacefully passed away at the age of 82 in a hospital, as disclosed by his family yesterday.

Sir Michael Gambon, a towering figure in British theater and cinema, embarked on a remarkable 60-year career that began with him sharing the stage with Sir Laurence Olivier. Among newer generations, he is fondly remembered for his portrayal of Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight Harry Potter films.

A statement released on behalf of his wife, Lady Gambon, and son, Fergus Gambon, by publicist Clair Dobbs, conveyed their profound sorrow:

‘We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon. Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia. Michael was 82. We ask that you respect our privacy at this painful time and thank you for your messages of support and love.’

Danny Glover is Playing Santa for Disney’s The Naughty Nine Coming November 22nd

Just in time for the holiday season, Disney Branded Television has revealed that its latest Disney Original Movie, titled “The Naughty Nine,” is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 22nd at 8:00-9:35 p.m. EST on Disney Channel, followed by a Thanksgiving Day release on Thursday, November 23rd, exclusively on Disney+.

This upcoming film revolves around a clever group of resourceful children who hatch an elaborate scheme at the North Pole. Alongside this announcement came the revelation that acclaimed actor Danny Glover, known for his role in “Lethal Weapon,” will take on the role of Santa Claus in the movie, as well as the release of the movie’s teaser.

In “The Naughty Nine,” a mischievous fifth-grader named Andy wakes up on Christmas morning without a gift from Santa. He comes to the realization that he must have been placed on Santa’s “naughty list” unjustly.

In response, Andy assembles a team of eight other “naughty list” individuals to help him carry out an intricate heist at Santa’s Village in the North Pole, with the aim of claiming the presents they believe they deserve. Throughout their adventure, the group begins to understand that the most effective way to escape the naughty list is by channeling their unique talents for good, rather than mischief.

The movie’s talented ensemble cast includes Winslow Fegley as Andy, Camila Rodriguez as Dulce (Andy’s best friend and archery expert), Anthony Joo as Lewis (a North Pole conspiracy theorist), Imogen Cohen as Ha-Yoon (a daredevil “wheel woman”), Clara Stack as Rose (an animal whisperer), Deric McCabe as Jon Anthony (a master of disguise), Ayden Elijah as Albert (an adorable charmer), and Madilyn Kellam as Laurel (Andy’s older sister, a skilled gymnast on a journey to regain her confidence). Derek Theler portrays Bruno, a disgruntled cargo pilot who claims to have witnessed Santa’s sleigh.

Santa Claus, depicted by the award-winning actor and producer Danny Glover, is portrayed as a wise and imposing figure with a hint of humor, always staying one step ahead of Andy. Glover, best known for his role in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise, has an extensive filmography, including critically acclaimed movies like “Dreamgirls” and the futuristic thriller “2012.” In 2022, he received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Honorary Academy Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences for his decades-long advocacy for justice and human rights.

Today was the grand opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, the new Disney Vacation Club tower and the Disneyland Resort! The brand-new tower boasts 344 meticulously themed guest rooms, designed to envelop visitors in the enchanting realms of timeless Disney tales. These accommodations provide contemporary comforts akin to those found in one’s own home, all conveniently located just a stone’s throw from the Disneyland Resort theme parks.

“The Villas at Disneyland Hotel celebrates the remarkable legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ storytelling and the creative process these talented artists go through to bring Disney characters to life from sketch to screen,” said Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Club. “With imaginative details and spacious accommodations, this beautiful new tower is the perfect place for families to create magical vacation memories for years to come.”

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel features a variety of themed accommodations for families large and small including duo studios, deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas and multi-level grand villas. Each room celebrates the creativity of Disney films including “The Jungle Book,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Fantasia” and more.

The grand opening was commemorated with a joyous ceremony that featured heartfelt dedication speeches from Bill Diercksen and Dan Coleman, who serves as the general manager of the Disneyland Hotel. They were joined in the festivities by a delightful ensemble of Disney cast members and beloved characters from the artistic narratives showcased within the tower’s decor. Among them were Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” Anna and Elsa from “Frozen,” and Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog.” To conclude the celebration on a high note, the talented Disney on Broadway actress, Kissy Simmons, delivered a captivating rendition of the new Disney Vacation Club anthem, “Where We Belong (Welcome Home).”

When entering the lobby, members and guests are greeted by a mural created exclusively for this property by beloved Disney Animation artist Lorelay Bové. Bové is known for her visual development work on Walt Disney Animation Studios films such as “The Princess and the Frog” and “Encanto.”

Walt Disney Imagineers have taken inspiration from the animators’ storytelling process to create distinctive accommodations that celebrate the magic of creativity. From color palettes based on animation stills to concept art, guests are instantly immersed in the storytelling process.

Perfect for two guests, the newly imagined duo studios are inspired by “The Jungle Book” featuring a split bathroom with themed tile accents and a queen-size bed that conveniently tucks into the wall to reveal a sofa when not in use. With enough space for up to four guests, the deluxe studios celebrate the timeless tales of “Sleeping Beauty” or “The Princess and the Frog” and feature a kitchenette, split bathroom and two queen-size beds to sleep up to four guests.

One- and two-bedroom villas offer roomier accommodations for larger families, sleeping up to five and nine guests, respectively. The villas include a full-size kitchen and living areas with comfortable sofa seating that can be easily pulled down to reveal a queen-size bed, complete with a story-themed mural above inspired by “The Princess and the Frog” or “Fantasia.” The comfort continues into the main bedroom, which includes a spacious en-suite bathroom featuring double vanities, a soaking tub with a themed mosaic-style tile mural and a spa-like shower.

The three-bedroom grand villas feature multi-level accommodations for up to 12 guests. On the first floor, families can enjoy a full-size kitchen, large dining area and a double-sided fireplace connecting the living area to a private outdoor balcony. The first floor is also home to the primary suite inspired by “Bambi.” Guests will discover more magic as they venture up a spiral staircase to discover a full-size washer and dryer and two themed bedrooms. One bedroom is inspired by “Frozen” and one by “Moana,” each with two queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms.

The brand-new Palette Pool area offers an inviting oasis perfect for relaxation and play. Guests can unwind in the crystal-clear, palette-shaped swimming pool or enjoy refreshing snacks and drinks at the Palm Breeze Bar (opening later this season). This delightful outdoor space boasts decor inspired by the distinctive artistry of Disney Legend Mary Blair. Little ones can cool off at the whimsical “Steamboat Willie” splash pad inspired by the iconic short film. Kids can star in their own story by joining the iconic Mickey Mouse at the helm of the boat brought to life with waterfalls, fountains and misty fog effects.

Disney Vacation Club members and guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel can enjoy these new amenities and current hotel offerings including restaurants, lounges, shops and swimming pools. Updated Lighting has been installed in the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion Stretching Room

Guests who are visiting the Haunted Mansion Stretching Room at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will note the lighting on the stretching room images has been greatly improved.

The lighting is much brighter and dramatic than before the update, allowing the guests to get a better view of the stretching room images.

The Haunted Mansion is a fan-favorite attraction located in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. The attraction invites daring guests to climb aboard a Doom-Buggy and explore the mansion with the 999 happy haunts that inhabit the grounds. Proceed with caution, as the Ghost Host reminds you the mansion has room for 1,000 ghosts!
