Starting on October 11, Walt Disney World Resort is about to unveil some delectable surprises at three popular Disney Resort hotels. Get ready for an array of mouthwatering dishes and refreshing beverages that are sure to delight visitors of all tastes.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Located by the pool and lakeside, Geyser Point Bar & Grill has long been a culinary gem, and it’s not slowing down. The iconic Bison Burger is still there, but now it’s joined by several exciting additions, including three new plant-based options. You can even order everything from your mobile device for added convenience.

Crispy ‘Peking’ Ribs: Tossed in a flavorful Peking sauce with cashews.
Geyser Chicken Wings: Now available in Thai Chili or Sriracha Buffalo, in addition to the classic Teriyaki flavor.
Charcuterie Flatbread: A delightful twist on charcuterie, featuring salami, brisket, chorizo, bacon, and smoked gouda beer cheese on flatbread.

Moana Still Meeting Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Guests can still meet Moana at Animal Kingdom

We recently reported a permanent Moana Meet and Greet will open soon at the new Journey of Water Inspired by Moana attraction at EPCOT. We are happy to report that although the Moana Meet and Greet at EPCOT will be opening soon, guests will still be able to snap a photo with the fearless navigator at Animal Kingdom!

The Walt Disney World website details all character meet and greets that are available, as well as events and meet and greets for each day. When the Moana Meet and Greet opens at EPCOT on October 16, the Meet and Greet at Animal Kingdom’s character landing is scheduled to remain open, at least through the end of the month.

Continued operation of the Animal Kingdom Meet and Greet past the end of October is unknown, however, more dates and times may be added as we get closer to November and the calendar is updated. Currently, the calendar shows ‘no times available’ past October 31.

First Look at Tracy Morgan in Season 2 of The Santa Clauses

Disney has unveiled a fresh image providing a sneak peek of Tracy Morgan portraying the new Easter Bunny in the upcoming second season of “The Santa Clauses.” The show is set to make its return on Disney+ with a two-episode premiere on November 8th, 2023.

In the forthcoming second season, the Calvin family finds themselves back at the North Pole. Scott Calvin resumes his role as Santa Claus, as his retirement plans were thwarted when he couldn’t find a suitable successor in the first season. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, he shifts his focus towards training his son Calvin to eventually inherit the “family business” as Santa Claus.

Tracy Morgan joins the cast of the Santa Clauses

In addition to Tim Allen, who will take on the dual role of executive producer and reprise his beloved character, Santa/Scott Calvin, the second season will feature a talented ensemble cast. Elizabeth Mitchell stars as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Austin Kane portrays Cal Calvin Claus, Elizabeth Allen-Dick embodies Sandra Calvin Claus, Devin Bright appears as Noel, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias assumes the role of Kris Kringle, and Eric Stonestreet takes on the character of Magnus Antas, also known as The Mad Santa. Returning as a recurring guest star is Matilda Lawler, who reprises her role as Santa’s chief of staff, Betty.

Additionally, the season includes Marta Kessler as Olga, Liam Kyle as Gary, Isabella Bennett as Edie, Sasha Knight as Crouton, Ruby Jay as Riley, Mia Lynn Bangunan as Pontoon, and Laura San Giacomo as La Befana, the Christmas Witch.

Season one of “The Santa Clauses,” which debuted last holiday season, was a top 5 most-watched original series on Disney+ by hours streamed (Nov. 3-Dec. 31, 2022).

Starting in 2013, Vans and Disney have regularly come together to create a wide range of footwear and products inspired by Disney’s rich roster of fictional characters. With Disney marking its 100th anniversary in 2023, the California-based brand is once again partnering with Disney to commemorate this historic milestone. Disney 100th Anniversary VANS have arrived and are available exclusively online.

The collection includes five distinct shoe designs. It all begins with the OG Vans Authentic, which comes in monochromatic shades and features embroidered patches showcasing Mickey Mouse and his beloved companions, including Donald Duck and Goofy.

Alongside this, the Old Skool model is adorned with a collage of illustrations from Disney movies like Moana and Encanto. The Sk8-Hi version represents Disney’s villains with a dark canvas base and suede accents.

Disney+ Begins Password Sharing Crackdown

Following Netflix’s effective crackdown on extended password-sharing, Disney+ has embarked on its own initiative to address this issue. This move comes as no surprise, as it appears that password-sharing restrictions have become a standard feature in the evolving streaming landscape, alongside price hikes and the introduction of ad-supported subscription tiers.

Disney+ had already hinted at implementing such measures earlier in the year, and it is now officially rolling out its password-sharing crackdown, starting in Canada. Here is the latest information on Disney+’s efforts to combat password-sharing.

The Verge reported that Disney+ sent an email to their Canadian subscribers informing them that password sharing was being put on notice. The email stated, “We’re implementing restrictions on your ability to share your account or login credentials outside of your household.”

While Disney+ didn’t provide specific details about its password-sharing crackdown, it seems to be taking cues from Netflix’s approach. Interestingly, Disney+ has also adopted the concept of “households,” a term initially introduced by Netflix to regulate account usage by defining who can and cannot share a single account. The new language states, “You may not share your subscription outside of your household.” A new “account sharing” heading now appears in Candian subscribers’ user agreements.

Unless otherwise permitted by your Service Tier, you may not share your subscription outside of your household. “Household” means the collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside therein. Additional usage rules may apply for certain Service Tiers.

We may, in our sole discretion, analyze the use of your account to determine compliance with this Agreement. If we determine that you have violated this Agreement, we may limit or terminate access to the Service and/or take any other steps as permitted by this Agreement (including those set forth in Section 6 of this Agreement).

You will be responsible for any use of your account by your household, including compliance with this section.

Disney+ Begins Password Sharing Crackdown

Starting on November 1, these changes will coincide with the introduction of Disney+’s ad-supported subscription options in Canada. Although it’s uncertain whether Disney will immediately enforce the password-sharing policy, the company is clearly signaling its intention to do so in the future. Currently, Disney+ hasn’t revealed any methods for adding additional users to an account or facilitating the separation of profiles into new accounts. It remains to be seen how committed Disney+ will be to this new initiative.

There are two Magic Shots that add our favorite purple dragon to PhotoPass photos. Both are super cute and put Figment in the sky above guests.

The new Figment-inspired Disney PhotoPass Lens is now available in the My Disney Experience app with the purchase of Disney Genie+ service at Walt Disney World Resort. The lens puts guests in different backgrounds with Figment. One is in space, another features bright rainbow lights, and the other is a musical lens adding headphones and glasses to the guest while music notes float by.

Season 2 of Behind the Attraction is coming to Disney+ on Nov. 1st

Disney+ and Disney Parks have unveiled the official trailer and key artwork for the upcoming second season of the Disney+ Original documentary series “Behind the Attraction.” The show is set to premiere on November 1st on Disney+ and is produced by Disney Branded Television.

This captivating series takes viewers on an immersive journey into the creation and operation of Disney Parks’ most iconic attractions, featuring the brilliant Imagineers who designed them and the dedicated Cast Members who keep them running smoothly.

Following the success of season one, which explored beloved staples such as the Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, “it’s a small world,” and Space Mountain, season two will continue to spotlight more quintessential Disney Parks attractions. These include Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones Adventure, EPCOT, The Food, and Nighttime Spectaculars. Check out the all-new trailer below.

The series is a collaborative effort between Dwayne Johnson & Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions and The Nacelle Company.

Work continues full-steam ahead on the Disney Treasure at the Papenburg, Germany shipyard

Work is continuing full-steam ahead on the Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, at the Meyer Werft shipyard located in Papenburg, Germany. The forward funnel of the ship recently arrived for the crews to work and install.

Disney shared the following information about the forward funnel:

After traveling all the way from Poland, the Disney Treasure’s forward funnel has arrived at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany! The funnel will soon be secured in its rightful place atop the Disney Treasure and will be given a coat of shiny red paint to match the iconic Disney Cruise Line look. When the first guests set sail onboard the Disney Treasure in December of 2024, they will be able to plunge through the forward funnel while riding Disney Cruise Line’s beloved attraction at sea, the AquaMouse, and watch their favorite Disney movies via the Funnel Vision screen by the family pool. Some guests may even choose to stay inside the forward funnel’s EPCOT-themed Tomorrow Tower Suite!
Disney Cruise Line

The Tomorrow Tower Suite will be a nearly 2,000-square-foot suite located in the forward funnel with theming inspired by the look and feel of EPCOT. The suite will provide guests with an elegant setting featuring views of the horizon as well as the ship’s top deck.

The Disney Treasure will embark on its inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral in December of 2024. Themed areas announced for the ship include Periscope Pub, Skipper Society, and the Tomorrow Tower Suite.

Disney & NASA Update Display at Mission: SPACE in EPCOT

Disney & NASA have updated EPCOT’s Mission: SPACE Display

Guests visiting Mission: SPACE at EPCOT will note an update to the exterior of the attraction: Disney and NASA have updated the attraction’s display.

Disney Imagineering and NASA have collaborated to update the outside of the attraction, which now includes tracks from NASA’s Perseverance Rover.

The Perseverance Rover is a NASA rover that was launched in 2020 on a mission to Mars. The rover landed on Mars on Feb. 18, 2021 and has collected rocks that NASA hopes will eventually be returned to Earth.

Mission: SPACE is an EPCOT attraction that invites guests brave enough to endure launch forces on a simulated mission to Mars. The intense Orange mission features a centrifuge that “spins and tilts to simulate the speed and G-forces of a spacecraft launch and reentry”. Guests who wish for a gentler ride can instead opt for a gentle orbit around the Earth via the Green mission.
