The sides feature “Saludos Amigos” and more fireworks and musical notes, then on the back you will find the Aracuan bird and Mexico text in the flag colors, the straps are colorful with purple, yellow, orange and blue colors.

New Ursula’s Return Lorcana Cards Exclusive Reveal
Hot off the season championships and highly successful third expansion, Ravensburger continues to redefine the trading card space with their highly anticipated fourth expansion Ursula’s Return; prepped to release May 17th at Hobby Stores and May 31st at mass retailers.
Ursula’s return promises new gameplay and a brand new Illumineers Quest where players square off against everyone’s favorite sea Witch and her minions. Players will do battle with Ursula in a co-op game to try and defeat her together. Ravensburger will also release new pre-constructed decks, gorgeous playmats, card sleeves, and deck boxes inspired by the gorgeous artwork of expansions past.
We here at Chip & Company have the honor of revealing brand-new cards and artwork from the upcoming set in an exclusive collaboration with our friends at Ravensburger. Chip and Company is excited to share these four new cards with players and collectors around the world.
Let’s start with “Flounder: Collectors Companion” with artwork from our talented friend James C Mulligan. Flounder adds support to other cards – meaning you can add his strength to help out with challenges and he’s inkable. Flounder can go into play for one less if you have Ariel in play – with 2 strength and 2 willpower he’s not breaking the metagame, but he’s going to certainly find use in some deck designs.
“Signed Contract” just made your Emerald Steel Deck a little stronger against Amber Steel players. This item is an incredible draw engine that allows the owner to draw a card every time their player sings a song. This is going to be super powerful and will instantly be inserted into thousands of decks around the world. Just wow. For two cost, it plays early – and as a bonus it can be inked in other matchups.
“Sign the Scroll” is an Amber Action Card where each opponent chooses and discards a card. If the opponent breaks the contract and decides not to discard you gain two lore (two for each opponent in multiplayer). Amber is not known for it’s discard ability, so this adds something entirely new to this ink color, very exciting to see how this will factor into custom decks.
We have a new location in “Ursula’s Garden” which can be played for four ink. While your characters are moved to this location and exerted, opposing characters quest for one lore less. This is super powerful essentially forcing your opponents into challenging either the location or other characters. We love the idea of more interaction between cards – moving away from strategies that ignore their opponent and rush to the finish line.
Be on the lookout for more incredible card reveals in the coming weeks as we prepare for the arrival of Ursula’s return. We have already seen new cards revealed from Ravensburger. The Madrigal family and Encanto are joining the game with this new expansion. You can find all of these products on May 17th at your local games and hobby stores. We are absolutely hooked on this game and would like to stress that it is the perfect game to enjoy with your family. The art makes these cards highly collectible and they’re a must-have for any Disney fanatic in your life.

Court Ruling Disney Owes $300K+ in Live-Action Beauty and the Beast Lawsuit
The Walt Disney Company has been ordered to pay $345,098 to Rearden LLC for copyright infringement related to the visual effects technology used in the 2017 live-action remake of “Beauty and the Beast.”
The case stems from Rearden’s claim that Disney used their MOVA facial capture technology without a license to create the Beast’s realistic expressions. While a California jury sided with Rearden in December, the amount of compensation remained undecided.
U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar has now issued his final ruling, awarding Rearden a fraction of the $38 million they initially sought. The judge acknowledged Disney’s infringement but concluded that the movie’s success wasn’t solely reliant on Rearden’s technology. Factors like the original animation’s popularity, the cast’s performances, and the Disney brand itself significantly contributed to the film’s profits.
This case highlights the importance of intellectual property rights in the film industry. While the final settlement represents a small fraction of the movie’s overall earnings, it underscores the need for studios to secure proper licensing for the technologies they utilize in their productions.
Disneyland Refurbishment and Closure Schedule for April 2024
Ever wonder how Disneyland keeps the magic sparkling? Throughout the year, some rides, shows, and restaurants undergo refurbishment to ensure they stay top-notch for guests. These closures can be seasonal or happen as needed, but knowing what might be unavailable can help you plan a fantastic visit!
Read on to see what rides and attractions are scheduled for closures this month.
Currently, the Matterhorn at Disneyland is undergoing random closures. The ride has been closed during the week but open on the weekends. It was closed from April 15-19, will close on April 22 and reopen on April 26, and close again on April 29 and reopen on May 3.
The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln closed on April 16 and no reopening date is scheduled.
Haunted Mansion closed back in January for an extensive refurbishment on the grounds outside of the attraction. No opening date has been announced but we are hoping it will reopen in time for the Halloween season this fall.
Splash Mountain closed last May and will reopen later this year as the new attraction, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Disney has also announced that the whole Critter Country area will be closing as two new retail shops will be added to the area. With Critter Country closing that means The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will also be closed while that construction happens. The ride will be closed beginning May 1.
Fantasmic! has been on hiatus since April of 2023 when the giant Maleficent dragon caught on fire. The nighttime spectacular will be returning on May 24, 2024!
Over in Disney California Adventure, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail has been closed since March 4 with no reopening date on the schedule.

As refurbishment gets underway at their usual spot, Guest Services has shifted operations to a convenient new location. You’ll now find them occupying the first set of ticket booths on the left-hand side just before the park entrance. Look for the clear signage to guide you.
This temporary setup ensures guests continue to receive the same fantastic service and support they’ve come to expect. Whether you have a question about park logistics, need help with lost and found, or require disability access assistance, the friendly Cast Members at Guest Services are there to assist.

Hiya Pals! It’s Earth Day, and what better place to celebrate our amazing planet than Disney’s Animal Kingdom? We swung by the park today and were thrilled to discover some rare character appearances in honor of the occasion!
Get this – Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia were meeting guests near the iconic Tree of Life! It was fantastic seeing these two fan favorites spreading the message of environmental awareness.
We snapped some awesome photos with the duo, and it was clear other park-goers were equally excited for this rare encounter. It’s such a fantastic way to celebrate Earth Day and get guests thinking about protecting our environment.
We also heard rumors that Kenai and Koda from Brother Bear might be cruising the Discovery River on a special Earth Day flotilla. We are happy to report these rumors turned out to be true, and we managed to snag some photos of the adorable duo as they floated on by!

Autopia in Disneyland to be Fully Electric by 2026
Earlier this month, Walt Disney announced a welcome update to their classic Autopia attraction in Disneyland. The gas-powered vehicles, a fixture since the park’s opening, will be replaced with cleaner alternatives. However, some specifics remain under wraps.
The big question: will the new cars be electric or hybrid? Electric vehicles align perfectly with Disney’s environmental goals, while hybrids offer a potential compromise.
Another unknown is the timeline for this exciting change. Disney hasn’t revealed how long it will take to implement the new, eco-friendly Autopia experience.
Electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts are pushing Disney to go all-electric with the upcoming Autopia revamp. Their campaign aims to convince Disney to ditch hybrid options entirely and commit to zero-emission vehicles. Additionally, they’re advocating for a swifter timeline, urging Disney to complete the transition within two years.
In a statement to the LA Times, Disneyland spokesperson Jessica Good confirmed, “‘electrification means fully electric — it does not mean hybrid or any other version of a gasoline combustion engine.'” This eco-friendly update will see the current gas-powered engines phased out “within the next 30 months,” Good added.
Goodbye Fumes! By fall 2026, guests waiting in line and park staff working the ride can breathe a sigh of relief. The lung-damaging exhaust from the old vehicles will be a thing of the past.
While an exact reopening date remains under wraps, Good acknowledges the transformation takes time: “Reimagining an attraction does take time, so we don’t have a reopening date at this time.”

Construction on the new CommuniCore Plaza is buzzing along, and with its grand opening slated for June, there’s plenty to get excited about. Today, we’re zooming in on a brand new detail that was recently added – lighting strips that adorn the plaza’s awning.
The lighting is visible along the underside of the awning above the construction walls. The lighting strips add a nice touch to the plaza, and the addition of these lights demonstrates the construction of the plaza has moved into its final stages, with finishing touches being added ahead of Communicore Plaza’s opening in June.
CommuniCore Plaza is poised to become the central hub of EPCOT’s World Celebration serving as both a central hub for the various EPCOT festivals as well as a permanent home for a Mickey and Friends meet-and-greet location.
