Pedro Pascal Cast as Mr. Fantastic in Marvel’s New Fantastic Four Movie

The potential casting for Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four has surfaced, and it appears that Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and other genre shows, might step into the shoes of the MCU’s elastic superhero.

While discussions are underway, nothing has been officially confirmed. Initial rumors gained traction on social media last week, and according to Deadline’s sources, negotiations seem to be progressing positively. The filming of The Fantastic Four, directed by Matt Shakman, is reportedly scheduled to commence next year.

Should the agreement come to fruition, Pascal would step into the role of Reed Richards, succeeding John Krasinski, known as Jim from The Office, who made a cameo as the leader of the Fantastic Four in 2022’s Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski’s casting was reportedly a response to “fan demand,” but he wasn’t invited back to the MCU. He follows Ioan Gruffudd, the previous Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four’s earlier versions.

Given the active presence of the multiverse in the MCU, the decision to recast the role appears like money in the bank. With Pascal, the MCU would gain yet another immensely popular and bankable star. Fans have begun to debate the casting online with many overjoyed by the prospect of Pascal joining the MCU. Others are less enthused, wishing that Krasinski would get a bigger opportunity to stretch his role as Mr. Fantastic once again.

Pascal’s upcoming films include the highly anticipated Gladiator 2, set to continue production following the resolution of the Hollywood actor’s strike.

The Fantastic Four has been in development for a while and is helmed by director Matt Shakman and written by Josh Friedman. Although details are scarce, it has been confirmed that the film won’t delve into an origin story, but will rely heavily on the comics as source material. The release is scheduled for May 2, 2025, as part of the ongoing Phase 5 of the MCU.

In the broader context of Marvel, the MCU is currently undergoing shifts, notably with director Destin Daniel Cretton’s departure from Avengers: Kang Dynasty. Disney Courage Collection Spotted At Animal Kingdom!

Disney recently released the Disney Courage Collection as a thank you to those who serve in the U.S Armed Forces and their families. We found the collection at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so if you want to get some of these pieces, this is the place to go to.

The collection features a baseball hat in camouflage with hidden Mickeys and the word “Honor” on the front, there’s also a handkerchief with the same pattern. Other items include a crewneck in green with a Mickey Mouse icon and “Courage” in camouflage and a stainless steel water bottle to keep hydrated all day.

World of Frozen officially opens at Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort just marked a historic moment with the grand opening of World of Frozen, the world’s first Frozen-themed land! Set to officially welcome visitors on November 20, this enchanting addition offers two exciting attractions – Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, along with a wide array of shops, food options, and more!

Prior to the grand opening, Hong Kong Disneyland’s cast members enjoyed exclusive previews, exploring the new land and its attractions. They journeyed to the North Mountain on Frozen Ever After and glided through enchanting forests on Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. The Golden Crocus Inn also offered them a taste of its new delicacies.

The grand opening was a spectacular celebration. Central Arendelle saw Oaken and Kristoff, alongside Hong Kong Disneyland Ambassadors, begin the festivities.
