The Chip and Co team is excited to report that Disney has seemingly confirmed the reopening of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Hollywood Studios. The attraction, first launched on July 29, 1999, will resume operations following a routine refurbishment this summer, with no changes to its theme.
Manufactured by Vecoma, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has experienced increased downtime recently, hinting at the need for a refurb to address some issues. Visitors can anticipate the same adrenaline-pumping experience upon the coaster’s return, complete with the iconic fusion of rock music and high-speed thrills.

Disney Shares New Teaser Trailer & Poster For Lego Star Wars: Rebuild The Galaxy
Get ready to see the Star Wars galaxy in a whole new light – a light made of bricks! Today, Disney+ unveiled the teaser trailer and poster for their upcoming “four-piece” animated special, “LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.”
This collaboration between Lucasfilm and The LEGO Group celebrates the 25th anniversary of their creative partnership. “LEGO Star Wars has given fans the power to play with the galaxy in any way they imagine,” says executive producer James Waugh. He continues, hinting at the playful nature of the special: “We’ve mixed and matched LEGO sets to snap together Imperial X-fighters, Rebel TIE-wings, and yes, even Darth Jar Jar.”
Showrunners Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, known for their work on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” are clearly LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts. “We’ve been collecting sets for twenty-five years,” they say, “and we approached this project with a fan’s enthusiasm.” Whether you’re new to the world of LEGO Star Wars or a seasoned builder, Hernandez and Samit promise “an exciting place to enter” and “things you never thought possible.”
The story follows Sig Greebling, an ordinary nerf-herder who stumbles upon a powerful artifact and gets thrown into a wacky adventure. In this topsy-turvy galaxy, good guys are bad, bad guys are good, and it’s up to Sig to put the pieces back together, literally. Check out the trailer below!

Ticket Prices Increase for 2024 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom Park in 2024, casting a spellbinding spell for all ages! Get ready for a night of spooky fun – think trick-or-treating adventures, chilling parades, and shows featuring your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween best and even access to select rides after dark under an eerie Halloween glow.
Mark your calendars, because tickets go on sale May 15th for everyone. If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel, or Shades of Green, you get an early shot at tickets starting May 8th.
Be aware that ticket prices have increased for 2024, ranging from $119 to $199 depending on the date (up from $109-$199 in 2023). Don’t forget, Disney uses dynamic pricing, so some nights may be cheaper than others.

Imagine a luxurious ship’s parlor once belonging to a charismatic sea captain and his enigmatic fiancee. Rumors swirl about their mysterious disappearance, and keen-eyed guests might unravel the truth through cleverly hidden clues scattered throughout the bar.
Disney Cruise Line and Disney Imagineers have conjured up a masterpiece, honoring over five decades of Haunted Mansion fandom. This new chapter promises a thrilling mix of nostalgia and nautical chills – perfect for any spooky enthusiast!
As the Halfway to Halloween festivities begin, consider this a sneak peek into the secrets that await you at the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Prepare to be spooked and delighted – the high seas have never been so hauntingly charming!
When plans for the original Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland were well underway, celebrated Disney Imagineer Rolly Crump proposed a creative concept for a “Museum of the Weird” exhibit. As the final design took shape, many of Rolly’s initial ideas were realized throughout the attraction. However, a few of his concepts remained in the vault, living on thanks to dedicated fans and Disney historians. One such concept was a mysterious aquarium, filled with ghost fish. More than fifty years later, the sketch Rolly developed was referenced by a new generation of Disney Imagineers to create a modern “Aquarium with Ghost Fish” for the Haunted Mansion Parlor.
Blending nostalgia with a fresh layer of lore, the aquarium will fold into the curious backstory of the parlor’s former sea captain owner. Legends passed down from The Captain’s devoted crew recount how he was last seen heading to his parlor for a special meal prepared by his betrothed. All that remained after The Captain and his bride seemingly vanished was his hat, which was found floating in the aquarium tank. Perhaps his disappearance grants a new meaning to “fish food.”
An Eerie Art Collection
The Haunted Mansion Parlor’s eerie portrait gallery will depict some of the wandering souls that have taken up residence onboard the Disney Treasure. The collection of works will be reminiscent of the quintessential paintings inside the Haunted Mansion attraction, mimicking the art stylings used by Disney Imagineers in 1969. The portrait gallery will also incorporate present-day technologies to allow the ghostly residents to entertain guests in new ways.
I’m delighted to introduce you to a few of the happy haunts that will call the Disney Treasure home…
The concept for The Mariner was created by famed Disney animator Marc Davis. The portrait first occupied the halls of the original Haunted Mansion attraction and later made its way to the attractions at Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort. The Mariner’s story will be taken to new depths when he takes his place in the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure and continues to uphold Marc Davis’ impactful legacy.
A distinguished portrait of the good-humored sea captain will also grace the walls of the Haunted Mansion Parlor. His lifelong dream of serving on a luxury ocean liner was cut short after his untimely demise, but his merry soul has lingered on in his private parlor.
The likeness of The Captain’s enigmatic bride-to-be will take cues from Marc Davis’ iconic “cat lady” concept, which was also featured in the original attraction. Inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor, her portrait will flicker to reveal her true form and perhaps, her true intentions.
Tales of the doomed couple’s first encounter all began when The Captain received a dramatic distress transmission from another vessel. He wasted no time in altering his course to aid in the rescue, but as he neared the source of the call, he found only a mangled wreckage and a lone survivor – a woman floating amongst the debris. With bright green eyes, chestnut hair and a golden key hanging about her neck, it is no wonder that The Captain was immediately taken by her beauty. The pair became inseparable and were soon engaged to be wed.
A Ghostly Line of Drinkware
The portraits inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor will also lend inspiration to a Disney Cruise Line-exclusive commemorative mug collection that will debut onboard the Disney Treasure. The ceramic mugs will appear to be carved from the worn wooden planks of a ghost ship. These early sketches and models illustrate the first in a series coming to the Disney Treasure – one inspired by The Mariner and the other by The Captain’s Bride.

Ravensburger shared a preview of the two new starter decks from Ursula’s Return. These two new pre-constructed decks have Sapphire/Steel and Amber/Amethyst cards that will update gameplay with a new “Sing Together” mechanic and add a whole new set of abilities and interactions via new cards and combinations.

Dates & Details Announced for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort in 2024
Halloween Time is returning to the Disneyland Resort from August 23 to October 31! From spooktacular decorations to ghoulish treats, there is something for everyone to enjoy this Halloween time!
Don’t be surprised if you bump into Disney Characters—including Mickey and Minnie Mouse—all decked out for tricks and treats. Other specialty characters will be out as well like Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Cars Land
Cars Land will be all decked out for the holiday! Lightning McQueen and Mater can be seen in their “car”stumes, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters becomes Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree.
Haunted Mansion
Typically Haunted Mansion becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday during this time of year. The attraction gets an overlay from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Experience thrilling sights and seasonal surprises created by the citizens of Halloween Town. Sally, Oogie Boogie and other beasties from the beloved film will be on hand to wish you “Season’s Screamings!”
The attraction is currently closed while the grounds are being expanded and there is no set reopening date. We hope the ride will reopen in time for Halloween!
Halloween Screams
We can’t forget about nighttime entertainment! Halloween Screams will be returning at Disneyland for Halloween Time.
Your nocturnal delight kicks off with an eerie greeting from your “Master of Scare-omonies” Jack Skellington and his ghostly dog Zero—spirits from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. As Jack and Zero fade into the night leaving you to enjoy what’s to come, settle in and embrace the jump-worthy collision of sights and sounds—soaring flames, projections of rising ghosts and classic Disney villains like Maleficent and Ursula the Sea Witch—all set to a medley of Halloween-inspired songs… one showstopper after another.
Finally, as you reach the grand finale, there’s no need to be shy. Feel free to sing—or scream―along! Plus, on select nights, you’ll also be able to watch sparkling fireworks possess the sky.

Returning favorites include “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show, and trick-or-treating throughout the park. In addition, dance the night away at the and enjoy popular attractions with special Halloween twists, including Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Mad Tea Party. Get ready to fill your Halloween basket with M&M’S, Skittles, Snickers and more available at various trick-or-treating locations. And don’t forget to stock up on marvelous event-exclusive merchandise!
If you’ve got a frightening sweet tooth, take a bite out of Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party, which includes fireworks viewing from Plaza Garden or Tomorrowland Terrace. Reservations for this experience open on June 7.

This year’s separately ticketed event will kick off Aug. 9 and will take place on select nights through Oct. 31 at Disney World. Tickets go on sale for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green on May 8. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale May 15.
