Disney Cruise Line Makes a Big Change to Castaway Club Program

Disney Cruise Line offers a loyalty program for guests called the Castaway Club. Recently, a big change was made to the program.

All guests who have sailed on one eligible Disney cruise automatically qualify for the loyalty program. Now, guests are required to sail no less than once per five-year period. The Castaway Club Frequently Asked Questions page reads as follows:

“Guests who have completed one eligible Disney cruise automatically qualify for Castaway Club membership. To remain in the program, Castaway Club Members must book or sail on at least one eligible cruise within 5 years of their last Disney voyage.”

There are four tiers in Disney’s Castaway Club and they are:

Silver Member

Guests become a silver member after completing their first sailing with Disney Cruise Line. Silver Members of Castaway Club can book new itineraries one day earlier than the general public and are able to book excursions beginning 90 days prior to sailing.

In addition, Silver Members of Castaway Club receive:

Online check-in 33 days prior to sailing
Access to periodic Castaway Club communications and a special Castaway Club phone number for members-only direct communication
Special cruise terminal check-in locations (depending on port availability)
A welcome back gift to greet you in your stateroom upon your next sailing

Gold Member

Guests become a gold member after completing 5 sailings with Disney Cruise Line. Gold Members of Castaway Club can book new itineraries 2 days prior to the general public and excursions 105 days prior to sailing.

In addition, Gold Members of Castaway Club receive:

All Silver Member benefits
Online check-in 35 days prior to sailing
Early access to select port arrival times
Private onboard reception
Special discounts

Platinum Member

Guests become a Platinum Member after completing 10 sailings with Disney Cruise Line. Platinum Members of Castaway Club can book new itineraries 3 days prior to the general public and excursions 120 days prior to sailing.

Additional Platinum Member Castaway Club benefits include:

All Silver and Gold Member benefits
Online check-in 38 days prior to sailing
Complimentary dinner at Palo and Palo Steakhouse (one per sailing)

Pearl Member

Guests become a Pearl Member after completing 25 sailings with Disney Cruise Line. Pearl Members of Castaway Club can book new itineraries 4 days prior to the general public and excursions 123 days prior to sailing.

Additional Pearl Member Castaway Club benefits include:

All Silver, Gold and Platinum Member benefits
Online check-in 40 days prior to sailing
No need to pick a Port Arrival Time. They will be automatically assigned the first boarding group for their cruise.
Complimentary unlimited digital photo package. This benefit will be added to your stateroom account.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Closing for Lengthy Refurbishment in Early 2024

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing in early 2024 for another lengthy refurbishment. The attraction will close on January 8, 2024, and will reopen sometime in the summer.

The coaster had a lengthy refurbishment in 2023 to address reliability issues. Apparently those issues have persisted so the ride is closing again for a routine refurbishment.

There is still speculation that the ride will get a retheme and Aerosmith will no longer be involved. Disney has not confirmed any rumors though.

Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil finale

Drawn to Life, the epic celebration of Walt Disney Animation is entering its second season. The show is celebrating its second season in a big way: an all-new finale has been added to the show!

According to Cirque du Soleil , the new ending features a swing-to-swing act with artists who soar across the stage between two swings performing new awe-inspiring stunts, acrobatics, and choreography. The act is the culmination of the show’s story of its heroine, Julie, and her father, who was a Disney animator. The artists, representative of Julie and her father, perform in costumes inspired by the art of drawing and animation created by noted costume designer Philippe Guillotel.

The family-friendly show tells the story of the love between a father and a daughter, drawing inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 100-year heritage of storytelling. The show shares joy as it celebrates iconic Disney stories and characters through innovative design, acrobatic performances, brilliant choreography, musical scores, and brand-new animation lovingly created by Disney Animation artists.

Guests can experience Drawn to Life Wednesdays through Sundays at Disney Springs, with shows at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are available through December 2024.

Exciting news from Hong Kong Disneyland Park! Right on the heels of the opening of the mesmerizing “World of Frozen,” this beloved theme park hit a new milestone by welcoming its 100 millionth guest! It’s a joyous occasion, and we’re here to share the enchanting details of this magical day.

Imagine visiting your favorite theme park and ending up being a part of its history! That’s exactly what happened to the Chen family, a family of five and die-hard Disney fans. They had no idea that their trip to Hong Kong Disneyland Park would be a historic one.

Super Sweet Winnie The Pooh Collection Spotted At Animal Kingdom!

We spotted this new Winnie The Pooh Collection at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that will bring sweetness and nostalgia to your style.

First, we found some adorable Piglet, Pooh and Eeyore t-shirts with their face on the front and signature on the bag, super cute!

There’s also a Pooh and Piglet Crop Top and a beautiful Winnie the Pooh Eyelet Embroidery Lace Shirt with Pooh peeking out of the front pocket.

The collection also features some comfy Winnie the Pooh Crocs in a yellow mustard color with an all over pattern featuring Eeyore, Pigler, Tigger and Pooh and the front also features a Winnie the Pooh furry Jibbitz.

Pirates Dinner Adventure to host NEW Masquerade Show for New Year’s Eve

Are you looking for a fun and unique New Year’s Eve experience? Pirates Dinner Adventure has you covered! The family-friendly pirate dinner show is rolling out an all-new Masquerade Show for New Year’s Eve this year.

On Dec. 31, Pirates Dinner Adventure will host a special, 9:30 p.m. show with a festive twist to welcome the new year. This family-friendly masquerade show promises an extra layer of enchantment, with guests encouraged to wear masks and costumes to add to the elegance of the swashbuckling masquerade.

As the clock strikes midnight during the post-show Buccaneer Bash, guests can party with pirates, take part in a countdown to 2024, and lift a cheer to the new year!

During the show, guests will enjoy a three-course feast fit for a pirate captain and adults can keep the party going with delicious, themed cocktails.

“Families should be able to celebrate New Year’s Eve together and at Pirates Dinner Adventure, we’re offering families with kids of all ages the chance to create lasting memories as they welcome the new year alongside one another,” said Nick Kroger, Orlando Dinner Entertainment’s Creative Director. “This masquerade-inspired evening will add magical new elements to our timeless, immersive high-seas adventure.”

Pirates Dinner Adventure’s general admission includes a three-course dinner with unlimited soft drinks. Ticket prices for the New Year’s Eve show start at $72.95 for adults and $46.95 for children ages three to 10. Children ages two and under are free. Upgrades are available for purchase.
