If you have an existing Magic Key (Inspire, Believe, or Enchant), you can renew it during the month before it expires. However, new sales for these tiers, along with the Imagine Key (which stopped sales in March), are currently unavailable.
The latest Magic Key sale kicked off in early March. The most affordable option, the Imagine Key, which was exclusive to Southern California residents, disappeared quickly, selling out in under nine hours. Inspire, Believe, and Enchant Keys, however, were available for a much longer stretch this time around โ lasting three months โ compared to past sales.
In the past, Disneyland’s Magic Key sales have been frustrating for fans. They’d wait in line for hours only to find out the passes were sold out. This recently happened again after Disneyland resumed sales in March. While prices went up in October (Inspire Key – $1,649, Believe Key – $1,249, Enchant Key – $849, Imagine Key – $499), this time some Keys, like Inspire, Believe and Enchant, were available for longer than usual, lasting three months before selling out.
Disney has officially dropped its lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, marking the end of a contentious period between the entertainment giant and the state government, according to reporting by The Associated Press. This decision follows the finalization of a new development agreement between Disney and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, the body that replaced the former Reedy Creek Improvement District. The new agreement sets a clear course for the development activities at Walt Disney World Resort for the next decade.
The agreement was officially adopted recently, and Disney promptly requested a federal appellate court to dismiss its lawsuit against Governor DeSantis. This move is not a surprise, as the federal lawsuit’s future depended on whether a development agreement could be reached between Disney and the DeSantis appointees who now govern the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
As part of the 15-year deal, Disney has committed to investing $17 billion into Disney World over the next two decades. In return, the district will undertake infrastructure improvements on the theme park resort’s property. The district, which provides municipal services such as firefighting, EMS, planning, and mosquito control, was previously controlled by Disney supporters until the takeover by DeSantis appointees last year.
This agreement came after a settlement reached in March, where both sides agreed to cease litigation in state court and work towards negotiating a new development agreement and comprehensive plan by next year. The latest development agreement was officially adopted by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District during a June 12 meeting.
UNITE HERE Local 737, the union representing Walt Disney World’s Food & Beverage and Housekeeping workers, has issued a demand letter calling for significant improvements in pay and working conditions for tipped employees. These demands affect 4,000 tipped employees, including part-time and full-time workers, servers, server assistants, and bartenders. Although the current contract is not set to expire until 2027, the union is pushing for immediate changes to address ongoing issues, while recognizing some of the demands will not be easy or quick to implement.
Key demands include a guaranteed 20% gratuity on every guest check, regardless of party size, with an additional tip line for guests who wish to tip more. This aims to ensure fair compensation for all servers. Additionally, the union is pushing for a standardized allergy process to prevent unjust reprimands for issues beyond the workers’ control, along with a commitment to grieve and arbitrate every unfair discipline.
The union is also advocating for health insurance for all tipped part-time cast members and changes to the contract to prevent tipped workers from being sent home without pay. They seek payouts for lost gratuities and charge tips following reinstatement after suspension, as well as a well-defined ratio of server assistants to servers, with a proposed increase in server assistantsโ hourly pay to $19 per hour.
For bartenders, the union demands a clear ratio of bartenders to bar stools, no reduction in bar stools or cocktail tables, and an increase in hourly pay to $19 per hour. Similarly, cocktail servers are also seeking an increase in hourly pay to $19 per hour. The union emphasizes no outsourcing of restaurants or related jobs and insists that Disney follow the union contract’s normal transfer guidelines when opening new locations.
Another significant demand is reversing the trend of increasing part-time workers by ensuring that full-time employees who leave are replaced by other full-time employees, not part-timers. Additionally, the union is calling for the creation of 300 more full-time tipped positions to return to the previous full-time to part-time ratio and guaranteeing three shifts per week for part-timers.
The union has also issued a separate letter requesting a meeting with Disney Labor Relations to discuss the guest allergy process in food and beverage locations, citing the ‘lack of clarity and consistency in the guest allergy process’ as the key reason for the meeting. This request comes on the heels of a highly publicized incident in which a physician was allegedly served a dish at Raglan Road in Disney Springs that contained food items she was allergic to, despite discussing the allergy issues with the staff. The physician died from anaphylaxis shortly after her meal.
Disney has a knack for weaving subtle tributes into their new attractions, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom is no exception. As fans explore the re-imagined Frontierland attraction, many have picked out a heartfelt nod to the beloved Splash Mountain within the queue’s barn.
Perched on a shelf above Tianaโs desk, this tribute is a great Easter egg for eagle-eyed fans. Among the items, youโll find a green flower pot flanked by small statues of a bear, a fox, and a rabbit. These figures are charming references to Brโer Bear, Brโer Fox, and Brโer Rabbit, the iconic characters of Splash Mountain.
On the other side of the pot, thereโs a frog statue, a subtle homage to Brโer Frog, the narrator of the classic ride. You will also note a riverboat next to the frog, which seems to be a nod to the riverboat scene guests would encounter in the large Splash Mountain finale scene.
The shelf also includes cherished photos of Tiana with Naveen and her parents, but itโs the interspersed props that make the tribute truly special. These subtle references to Splash Mountain honor the ride’s legacy while celebrating the new adventure with Tiana.

Disney cast members around the globe recently celebrated Donald Duck’s 90th birthday with a flurry of fun and creativity. From Disneyland Resort to Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, cast members transformed rubber ducks into iconic Disney characters and attractions, bringing a touch of magic and competition to the festivities.
At Disneyland Resort, the duck decorating contest saw categories like “Most Disney Themed” and “Most Like Donald Duck,” culminating in a quacky race through the “itโs a small world” attraction. This playful tradition highlighted the cast’s artistic talents and united them in a joyful celebration.
Over at Hong Kong Disneyland, the celebrations took on a unique twist with a duck scavenger hunt and rubber duck fashion contest. Cast members like Winnie Lo and Rita Lee showcased their creativity, crafting one-of-a-kind designs such as a hand-knit Snow White duck and a recycled material scene featuring Donald Duck and his nephews. These events not only sparked creativity but also brought cast members together, creating cherished memories and a strong sense of community.
Disneyland Paris cast members dazzled with their own duck decorating contest, featuring incredible tributes to Disney shows and characters. Quentin Sempol’s tribute to “The Jungle Book Jive” street show was a standout, inspired by Donald’s diverse costumes. The global celebration didn’t just end with fun; proceeds from the rubber duck sales at Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris were donated to local nonprofit organizations.

Disneyland Dream Key Passholders to Receive $9.5 Million Settlement Payout
Disneyland Dream Key holders from almost three years ago can expect payouts from a $9.5 million class-action settlement. Emails are reportedly going out this week with details on claiming their share.
In 2021, California resident Jenale Nielsen filed a lawsuit against Disneyland. The complaint alleged that the park misled customers about the “no blockout dates” perk of their most expensive annual pass, the Dream Key. Nielsen claimed she couldn’t reserve desired dates in November 2021 despite the advertised benefit.
Despite maintaining their innocence, Disney and the plaintiffs reached a settlement agreement in July 2023 to avoid going to court.
Around 103,435 Disneyland guests who bought the Dream Key pass (now discontinued) between August 25 and October 25, 2021, can expect a payout from a recent class-action settlement, as reported by KTLA. After legal fees, eligible passholders will receive roughly $65 each.
Are you one of the guests that will be receiving a settlement?
