Pixar Fest is almost here and we got a sneak peek at some of the offerings coming to the event! One we are super excited about is a talking Dug character! Dug is one of our favorite characters from Disney Pixar’s Up and guests can meet him during Pixar Fest.
Dug has been seen at Disney parks previously, but not like this! This time he can talk! He wears his special collar from the movie that allows him to speak to humans and he said some fun things to us when we met him. Dug told us to “stay!” and then said we were “good humans”.
Guests will find this special talking Dug during Pixar Fest at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. His appearances and times will be listed on the Disneyland app. His interactions with guests will be more interactive, along the lines of other talking characters at Disney Parks.

New Walt Disney World Crocs Spotted At Disney Springs!
Every step you take will be filled with magic when wearing these Walt Disney World Crocs! We found them at Disney Springs but they are also available online at the Disney Store with a special price of $48.99!
They feature an off white color with an all over pattern of stars and fireworks in yellow and blue. The pivoting heel strap features the Walt Disney World logo in yellow and blue.
They also molded icons on each shoe inspired in the four themed parks, for example Cinderella Castle for Magic Kingdom, Spaceship Earth for Epcot, Hollywood Tower Hotel for Hollywood Studios and the Tree of Life for Animal Kingdom!
Whimsical It’s A Small World Spirit Jersey Now At Disney Springs!
Get ready to set sail in the happiest cruise that ever sailed while wearing this It’s A Small World Spirit Jersey filled with whimsy and magic! We found it at the World of Disney in Disney Springs for $79.99.
It features a light blue/ teal color with the Mickey icon “D” logo in sparkly gold ink in the front and “It’s a Small World” logo across the back surrounded children from different nations!

New It’s A Small World Ear Headband Sailed Into Disney Springs!
We found the new It’s A Small World Ear Headband at Disney Springs and absolutely loved it! You can also find it online at the Disney Store for $34.99.
It features light blue padded ears with artwork of It’s a Small World children in their respective country outfits on the front and back with whimsical details! The bow adds a shimmering touch with the pink sequin fabric and It’s a Small World clock in the middle.
The It’s a Small World logo is also featured in pink embroidery on one side of the headband. You can take a closer look at these Minnie ears in our Instagram post:
First look at the new statues coming to Jumbeaux’s Sweets on the Disney Treasure
Disney Cruise Line continues to unveil exciting details about its newest ship, the Disney Treasure. One particularly sweet addition is Jumbeaux’s Sweets, a whimsical dessert destination inspired by the beloved film “Zootopia.” This announcement, first made during the Grand Reveal of the Disney Treasure last year, shines a light on the collaborative effort between Disney Imagineers and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The journey from concept to reality is a meticulous one, and Jumbeaux’s Sweets exemplifies this dedication to detail. Imagineers have meticulously recreated the vibrant world of Zootopia within the confines of the dessert shop. Every element, from the precise shade of bubblegum pink-striped wallpaper to the vintage-style light fixtures, is carefully chosen to transport future Disney Cruise Line guests into Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde’s bustling mammal metropolis.
The centerpiece of Jumbeaux’s Sweets promises to be an eye-catching bronze statue featuring the film’s unlikely crime-solving duo. This creation is a testament to the collaborative spirit between Imagineers and the Walt Disney Animation team. The process began with sketched designs, followed by a close partnership to develop a one-of-a-kind digital model of the statue. Imagineers then used the precise measurements from this model to cast the piece in bronze. Finally, the statue journeyed to Florida for a meticulous painting process.
A recent image showcases Jay Abruzzese, a renowned Disney artist, adding the finishing touches to both Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Soon, this stunning creation will be installed within Jumbeaux’s Sweets, ready to welcome guests and capture the essence of “Zootopia” on the high seas.

Three New Restaurants are Coming Soon to Downtown Disney
Get ready to tantalize your taste buds at Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort. A fiesta of flavors awaits with the arrival of three new restaurants this spring!
With a vibrant expression of his native food and culture, Mexico’s first Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán is bringing authentic Mexican fare to the Downtown Disney District. His dishes will take guests on a multi-sensory journey to the heart of his homeland of Huitzuco, Mexico, through three distinctive concepts opening in the next few weeks: Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita!
A stunning staircase will lead you to Paseo’s show-stopping dining room and bar area lined with rich woods, tiles, textures, leathers and custom accents that celebrate Mexico’s craftsmanship culture. An extended upper patio will offer exceptional new views of the district!
Chef Gaytán’s connection to his homeland comes to life as he pairs his love of Mexico with French culinary style and technique. Standout Paseo menu items will include colorful ceviches, Mama’s cochinita pibil (roasted marinated pork), lamb barbacoa and the mejillones (mussels).
Céntrico, the courtyard bar and restaurant, will be an energetic, central gathering place serving upscale Mexican cuisine and tequila-based cocktails. Its open, airy spaces designed with custom wood elements and lush greenery will welcome you into its outdoor canopy.
Céntrico’s featured dishes will include quesabirrias, chicken enchiladas, tlayuda (a Oaxacan shareable dish reminiscent of a pizza with a perfect crunch) and one of Chef Gaytán’s favorites, Caesar salad.
At Tiendita, you’ll experience Mexican heritage flavors and street-food staples on the go. Through a self-ordering kiosk, menu options will include esquites (roasted corn), fish tacos, ice cream- stuffed chocolate tacos, and breakfast favorites like chorizo breakfast burritos and chilaquiles (marinated tortilla chips with egg). You may even see the expert culinary team at work, adding to the experience!

Derek and Hayley Hough Visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Derek and Hayley Hough, the famed “Dancing with the Stars” champion, and his wife enjoyed a magical break from their Symphony of Dance tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 19, 2024! The couple, along with their dance crew, were spotted soaking up the sunshine and sharing some Disney fun together at the park in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Derek and Hayley shared a special moment in front of the Tree of Life while visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. After, Hayley said she planned to enjoy the seasoned fries at Mr. Kamal’s in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, calling it her favorite dish at Walt Disney World.
The crew performed at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts the day after visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was one of four stops in Florida.
Country Bear Vacation Jamboree Returning to Tokyo Disneyland for First Time in 5 Years
Get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good time at Tokyo Disneyland! The beloved Country Bear Vacation Jamboree is moseyin’ on back after a five-year hiatus. This special summer overlay returns from May 17th through November 7th, so grab your cowboy hat and boots and get ready to sing along to all your favorite country classics with this lively bunch of bears!
“Country Bear Theater is an attraction at Tokyo Disneyland where eighteen charismatic bears with unique personalities entertain guests with a humorous country and western performance. From May 17 through November 7, Country Bear Theater will feature the special summer version, “Vacation Jamboree,” for the first time in five years. Guests can enjoy a cheerful vacation as they join these lively and fun-loving bears in an unforgettable experience.”
With Country Bear Vacation Jamboree ending in November, it’s possible that Jingle Bell Jamboree (the holiday special) will also return.
Savi’s Workshop Now Requires Full Payment at Time of Booking
Attention Star Wars fans! Building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios just got an update. From now on, you’ll need to pay for the entire experience upfront when you make your reservation. Before, you could wait to pay until you arrived at the workshop itself.
Step into a hidden world within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Savi’s Workshop. Here, seasoned artisans called Gatherers guide you through the creation of your very own lightsaber. Surrounded by the lore of the galaxy, this immersive experience lets you explore a secret workshop overflowing with unique parts and mysterious relics collected from across the cosmos.
Choose your path – will your lightsaber embody Peace and Justice, raw Power and Control, the untamed power of Elemental Nature, or unwavering Protection and Defense? Each theme unlocks unique components steeped in Star Wars lore, from echoes of Jedi temples to symbols of the Force itself.
The adventure continues as you select a kyber crystal, the beating heart of your lightsaber. These mystical stones come in red, blue, green, and violet, each whispering tales of the galaxy far, far away. Age Restrictions: Builders must be at least five years old. Guests under 14 require adult supervision (one adult per guest under 14).
Party Size: The experience is limited to the builder and one guest who cannot build their own lightsaber during this session.

Disney+ has released the official trailer for the upcoming documentary “Jim Henson Idea Man,” directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard. The film follows the extraordinary life and work of Jim Henson, the visionary artist and Disney Legend who brought us some of the world’s most beloved characters.
Henson’s 36-year career was a whirlwind of creativity. He gave life to classic Muppets like Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, and created the iconic residents of Sesame Street, including Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster, and Bert and Ernie.
