Star Wars fans sensed a disturbance in The Force this week after news broke that the iconic actor James Earl Jones would be officially retiring from his vocal role as Darth Vader. Jones held the role at Lucasfilm for an impressive… most impressive 45 years!
According to Vanity Fair, Both Lucasfilm and Respeecher, a Ukrainian based A.I. audio company, shared their future plans for the role with Jones in order to “heed his advice on how to stay on the right course.” Which means we will still get to see more of the Sith Lord in the Star Wars stories to come.
We wish all the best to James Earl Jones in his retirement and thank him for voicing some of the most beloved and love-to-hate characters over the decades. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Company for updates and all things Star Wars!
