First Look at ‘Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!’ Parade

Pixar Fest starts Friday, April 26, at the Disneyland Resort! Today we got a look at the ‘Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!’ Parade at Disney California Adventure.

Dynamic and colorful floats will make their way through Disney California Adventure park twice per day in the new “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade from Disney Live Entertainment, with high-energy dancing and appearances by more than two dozen Pixar characters.

You’ll spot Red Panda Mei and her friends rocking out to their favorite boy band, 4*Town; Joe Gardner and 22 from “Soul” celebrating the sweeter things in life; Luca, Alberto and Giulia from “Luca” enjoying their time together on the water’s edge in Portorosso; and more.

The grand finale will feature Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl from “The Incredibles,” Miguel from “Coco,” Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.,” and Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from “Toy Story.”

Pixar Fest begins this week at the Disneyland Resort! For the first time, there will be Pixar Fest Marketplaces at Disney California Adventure.

There will be six unique marketplaces arriving on May 10th. Each will be themed to a different Pixar film. Today Disney shared a look at the marketplace signs.

On our stroll around the World Showcase we ran into these Norway Lug Bags at the Norway pavilion in Epcot and had to share with you! Check them out:

NORWAY BACKPACK – $90

The backpack features a dark blue color with orange embroidery of a Mickey icon with a flower inside and more floral details all around, it also features “Norway” and “Epcot World Showcase” in white underneath.

It had plenty of zippered compartments on the front and back to organize all your essentials, very cool backpack for your adventures all around the world!

NORWAY BELT BAG – $60

If backpacks are not your thing, you can go for the belt bag also in dark blue with the orange embroidery featuring a Mickey icon and floral details. You can wear this as a crossbody bag with the adjustable straps or as a belt bag with the two straps on the bag.

Walt Disney Imagineering has just revealed a stunning close-up look at the new Mama Odie Audio-Animatronics figure for the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction. This exciting development comes just ahead of the ride’s grand opening at Walt Disney World this summer!

The heartwarming video features Jenifer Lewis, the talented voice actress behind Mama Odie in The Princess and the Frog, meeting her animated counterpart for the very first time. These delightful costumes were created by none other than the acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer, Theodore Elyett. Theodore’s vision? To capture the vibrant spirit of the beloved Bahamian tradition, Junkanoo, while ensuring our favorite pals look effortlessly stylish on their island getaway.

Let’s set sail on a fashion voyage and explore the delightful details:

Mickey Mouse: Sportin’ some snazzy conch shell shorts, Mickey’s ready to embrace his inner islander.

Virtual Queue Announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios 35th-Anniversary Merch Event

In honor of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ 35th-anniversary celebration kicking off on May 1st, 2024, Disney has announced a special limited-edition merchandise event, to be held at the Stage 1 Company Store located on Grand Avenue near MuppetVision 3D. This exclusive event will offer guests a unique opportunity to purchase commemorative apparel, collectibles, and pins designed specifically for the 35th anniversary.

To manage guest demand and create a positive shopping experience, Disney will be utilizing a virtual queue system for the event. The virtual queue system will allow guests to join the queue remotely using the My Disney Experience app, eliminating the need to arrive at the park early in the morning.

Joining the Virtual Queue

Download the My Disney Experience app: Ensure you have the app downloaded and ready to use.
Enable location services: This is critical for utilizing the virtual queue system within the app.
Join the queue on May 1st, 7:00 AM ET: Navigate to the “Virtual Queues” section within the My Disney Experience app to secure your spot.

Important Information for Guests

Theme park admission required: A valid theme park admission ticket (and, if applicable, a park reservation) for Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required to participate in the virtual queue or shop at the event.
