First up is the Disney Princess Active Dress ($69.99). If you’ve ever wanted to go on a spontaneous adventure but feared the wardrobe malfunction, this one’s for you. It’s a sporty, sleeveless number covered in an allover print of princess symbols, but the real MVP move here is what’s underneath.

It features built-in undershorts hidden beneath a flirty ruffle skirt, so you can move, jump, or climb a tower (if that’s your vibe) without a worry. Plus, those crisscross back straps are adjustable, because comfort is non-negotiable when you’re out there saving the kingdom.

If you’re a fan of a good twirl moment, the Disney Princess Ruffle Skort ($49.99) is calling your name. This isn’t your average gym gear; it’s a tiered ruffle dream designed specifically for the grown-up princess. The print is a subtle “if you know, you know” nod to the greats, featuring delicate icons like Genie Lamps, seashells, and roses. It’s the perfect way to represent your favorite leading ladies at the gym or the theme parks without wearing a full-blown costume.

For those cooler morning jogs or just lounging around the castle, the Disney Princess Long Sleeve T-Shirt ($49.99) is a total vibe. This isn’t just a basic tee, it’s a cropped, storybook-inspired piece featuring icons for Jasmine, Ariel, Tiana, and Cinderella. What really elevates it are the premium touches like the floral crest appliqué and the intricate embroidery. It’s a must-have for any fan who wants their workout wardrobe to feel a little more happily ever after.

But hey, why should the kids have all the fun? It’s big enough for your sunscreen, a good book, and maybe a few snacks, making it the perfect companion for city adventures or actual trips to the beach.

Mickey and Friends Nautical Collection

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Disney collection without some cuddly companions to bring along for the ride. The Mini Bean Bag crew is looking sharper than ever in their sailor gear. Captain Mickey is ready to chart a course in his crisp white outfit, while Donald Duck is rocking a cozy knit jumper and a smart blue hat (looking very dapper for a duck!). Not to be outdone, Daisy Duck is serving major seaside glam in a flared skirt and a fabulous wide-brim hat. Whether they’re sitting on a shelf or tucked into a backpack, these three are definitely the cutest crew on the high seas.

The Sun Sets on the Cretaceous: Joe Rohde Reflects as DinoLand U.S.A. Closes its Gates

Yesterday marked the end of an era at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the final fossils were packed away in DinoLand U.S.A. The land, a polarizing yet deeply layered staple of the park since its opening in 1998, has officially closed to make way for the future.

Former Imagineer Joe Rohde Reflects on Closure of DinoLand U.S.A

Taking to Instagram to mark the occasion, Disney Legend and former Imagineering executive Joe Rohde shared a poignant, candid reflection on the land he helped conceive. As the supervising designer of Animal Kingdom, Rohde’s fingerprints are all over the park’s DNA, and his farewell to DinoLand offered a rare look at the “sly humor” and complex intentions behind the roadside-attraction aesthetic.

A Tale of Two Paleontologies

Rohde’s tribute highlighted the sophisticated narrative layers that many guests may have missed amidst the carnival games and neon lights. DinoLand wasn’t just a place to see dinosaurs; it was a satirical look at the human obsession with them.

According to Rohde, the land was designed around a clash of factions:

dinosaur
  • The Traditionalists: Old-school professors clinging to outdated theories.
  • The Rebels: Young students bringing fresh, radical ideas to the field.
  • The Capitalists: Corporate financiers looking to turn prehistory into profit.
  • The Enthusiasts: Roadside entrepreneurs (like Chester and Hester) who loved dinosaurs simply because they were “cool.”

“I will miss its sly and droll sense of humor, and the way in which it attempted to take a complicated subject like paleontology and turn it into a series of entertainment experiences,” Rohde wrote.

Brutal Honesty on DINOSAUR

In a refreshing moment of candor, Rohde addressed the land’s shortcomings—specifically its flagship attraction. While DINOSAUR (originally Countdown to Extinction) remains a fan favorite for thrill-seekers, Rohde admitted it missed the mark for the core dinosaur demographic: young children.

Because Animal Kingdom lacked major thrill rides at its 1998 opening, the intensity of the attraction was “cranked up” out of necessity. He also touched on the 2000 name change to tie into the Disney animated film Dinosaur, noting that the original title better captured the ride’s intended tone.

Furthermore, Rohde acknowledged the “feathery” elephant in the room. While Animal Kingdom prides itself on biological accuracy, the rapid evolution of dinosaur science meant that adding feathers to the park’s theropods to keep up with modern research simply wasn’t practical.

Passing the Torch to Pueblo Esperanza

While the closure of DinoLand is bittersweet for fans of the “Highway 498” lore, Rohde expressed immense confidence in what’s coming next. He has been watching the development of Tropical Americas (set to be named Pueblo Esperanza) from the sidelines and offered high praise for the current Imagineering team.

  • The First Encanto Attraction: A journey through the Casita with the Madrigal family.
  • Expansion: An 11-acre transformation including a wood-carved carousel and a massive quick-service restaurant.

The Final Snapshot

DinoLand U.S.A. saw its first phase of closures in January 2025, with the removal of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama and The Boneyard. With the final gates now shut, Rohde’s parting words to fans were a simple reminder of the ephemeral nature of theme parks: “But for today, have fun, and take lots of pictures.”

Actor Wallace Langham who played Dr. Seeker, Makes Surprise Appearance at DINOSAUR for Final Farewell

As Disney’s Animal Kingdom bid a permanent farewell to DinoLand U.S.A. and the fan-favorite attraction DINOSAUR, a legendary face returned to the scene. Wallace Langham, the actor who portrayed the eccentric and beloved Dr. Grant Seeker, made a surprise appearance this morning to celebrate the attraction’s legacy with the Cast Members who brought the magic to life every day.

While the gates officially closed to the public yesterday, Cast Members gathered on the morning of February 2nd for a private farewell ceremony. In a moment that felt like a jump back in time, Wallace Langham appeared in full costume—donning the iconic white lab coat—to stand alongside the team.

Langham, whose “heck of a paleontologist” character has been a staple of the Disney’s Animal Kingdom experience since the park opened (initially as Countdown to Extinction), spent time posing for photos in front of the Time Rover and sharing memories with the crew.

The appearance wasn’t just a photo op; it was a testament to the community built around the ride. Local photographer Michael Huang shared a snapshot of the encounter, joking that a man in a lab coat had tried to convince him to hop into a Time Rover—an offer that was tempting, even on a record-breaking cold North Carolina morning!

Cast Members also took to social media to share the bittersweet moment. Many joked about finally getting their “letter of resignation” from the man who spent years sending them on dangerous missions to the late Cretaceous period.

The Future of the Site: From Dinosaurs to Tropical Americas

The departure of Dr. Seeker clears the way for the next chapter of Animal Kingdom. Construction is already shifting into high gear to transform the 11-acre DinoLand site into the Tropical Americas, featuring the village of Pueblo Esperanza.

While the DINOSAUR ride system will remain, it will be reimagined into a brand-new Indiana Jones adventure. Additionally, the land will welcome a new Encanto attraction, a wood-carved carousel, and a massive new dining location when it officially opens in 2027.

Disney Parks Q1 2026 Earnings: Record Revenue Driven by Guest Spending and New Ships

The Walt Disney Company has officially released its earnings report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, showcasing a powerful performance for the Experiences segment. Despite some near-term hurdles, the theme parks and cruise line continue to be a primary growth engine for the company, hitting record-breaking financial milestones.

Experiences Segment Hits $10 Billion Milestone

In Q1 of 2026, Disney’s Experiences segment—which includes domestic and international theme parks, consumer products, and the Disney Cruise Line—generated a record $10 billion in quarterly revenue. Operating income for the segment rose to $3.3 billion, with domestic parks specifically seeing an 8% increase in operating income.

Domestic Parks: Spending Outpaces Attendance Growth

While attendance at domestic parks saw a modest 1% increase, per-capita guest spending grew by 4%. This indicates that while the total volume of guests remains steady, those visiting are spending more on food, beverages, merchandise, and premium experiences.

Key factors contributing to the domestic success include:

  • Recovery from Weather Impacts: The 1% attendance gain represents a solid recovery from the previous year, which was negatively impacted by Hurricane Milton.
  • Cruise Line Expansion: The launches of the Disney Treasure (December 2024) and the Disney Destiny (November 2025) significantly increased passenger cruise days and overall revenue.
  • Hotel Steady at 87%: Occupancy at domestic Disney resorts reached 87%, up from 85% in the prior year quarter.

International Parks See Strong Demand

International parks outpaced domestic growth in terms of volume, posting a 6% increase in attendance. While guest spending at international properties grew by a more modest 2%, the strong attendance suggests high demand for Disney’s global destinations.

Disney Cruise Line Debuts First Images of Disney Adventure’s Oceaneer Club

The Road Ahead: Future Projects and Outlook

Disney CFO Hugh Johnston noted that while the company expects “modest” operating income growth in Q2 due to pre-launch costs for the Disney Adventure cruise ship and the World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris, the long-term outlook is positive.

Forward-looking indicators, such as room bookings at Walt Disney World, are currently pacing 5% higher than the previous year, particularly weighted toward the second half of fiscal 2026.

With massive projects like the Tropical Americas expansion at Animal Kingdom and Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios on the horizon, Disney is positioning itself for a significant multi-year growth phase.

New Animal Kingdom Maps Replace DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas

It is officially a new era at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Following the permanent closure of DinoLand U.S.A. on February 1, 2026, Disney has wasted no time scrubbing the prehistoric land from its navigational tools.

As of this morning, February 2, 2026, a brand-new paper guide map is being distributed to guests at the park entrance. In the space where DINOSAUR and Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama once stood, the map now shows a lush green space with a bold new label: “Future Home of Tropical Americas.”

Digital Maps Updated Simultaneously

The change isn’t just limited to the paper versions. Disney has also updated its digital maps across the board. The interactive map found on the official Walt Disney World website and the My Disney Experience app now reflects the same transition. All DinoLand attractions, shops, and dining locations—including Restaurantosaurus and The Boneyard—have been removed from the digital interface to match the current state of the park.

What the New Maps Reveal

While the “Tropical Americas” label acts as a placeholder for now, the map clarifies the new boundaries of the park during this massive construction phase.

  • Theater of the Wild: Interestingly, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! is still listed on the map, but it is now categorized as being in the “Theater of the Wild” area rather than DinoLand U.S.A.
  • Coming Soon: The 11-acre expansion, set to open in 2027, will eventually feature a brand-new Encanto attraction and a rethemed Indiana Jones adventure inside the former DINOSAUR show building.

With the signage currently being removed from the park entrance and the maps officially updated, the transformation of the “Tropical Americas” is officially in high gear.

Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World May Be Changing Hands in Billion-Dollar Deal

The luxury bubble at Walt Disney World might be getting a new owner. According to a new report from Bloomberg, investment firm BDT & MSD Partners LLC is close to finalizing a deal to acquire the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, along with a sister Four Seasons property in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The combined deal is said to top $1 billion, with the Orlando resort alone valued at roughly $750 million.

The two properties are currently owned by Host, which purchased the Orlando Four Seasons in 2021 for $610 million and the Jackson Hole resort for $315 million. BDT & MSD Partners is no stranger to high-end hospitality investments, having acquired other Four Seasons properties in the past, making this potential purchase more of a strategic luxury shuffle than a surprise move.

What remains unclear is whether the Four Seasons Private Residences at Golden Oak would be included in the sale. Disney announced an expansion of the Four Seasons neighborhood in 2024, located within Golden Oak’s Florian Park. That project includes nine boutique homes and 31 luxury residences in a mid-rise tower, with starting prices north of $5 million. For now, there’s no confirmation on how those ultra-exclusive homes factor into the deal, but the resort itself appears to be the main focus.

If finalized, this acquisition would mark another major financial move tied to premium accommodations at Walt Disney World, reinforcing just how valuable on-property luxury real estate has become. Guests likely won’t notice any immediate changes, but behind the scenes, this could signal a new chapter for one of Disney World’s most upscale stays.

New Expansion Pad Takes Shape in Celestial Park at Epic Universe

New aerial footage from @bioreconstruct offers a quick but telling look at ongoing construction inside Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe. The update focuses on a single expansion pad located directly across from Atlantic, where visible progress has been made since the last flyover. The area has now been fully cleared and graded, giving the site a clean, defined footprint within the park’s central hub.

In the latest photos and video, what appear to be concrete footers can be seen on site, indicating that the project has moved past simple ground preparation and into early structural work. The pad itself is modest in size and clearly delineated, suggesting a specific planned addition rather than a large-scale land expansion. Surrounding pathways and landscaping remain intact, reinforcing that this work is focused on a contained build within Celestial Park rather than a broader reconfiguration of the area.

While Universal has not announced what this space will ultimately become, the prevailing view is that it is likely intended for a future private event or flexible-use area, which would align with Celestial Park’s role as the park’s central gathering space. Its location make it perfect for getting guests in and out via the nearby roadways, while also providing direct access to the park.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these latest photos is just how fast the Encanto show building itself is rising. In just a few weeks, steel framing has expanded deeper into the construction site, and the rear portion of the building has already moved beyond framing into what appears to be preliminary flooring or roofing. That kind of progress suggests this attraction is firmly in the vertical build phase, and it’s starting to dominate this side of the former DinoLand U.S.A. area in the best possible way.

Over on the Tropical Americas carousel, there’s been plenty of movement as well. The wooden framing that previously peeked out has now been covered, and excavation is underway where the carousel itself will eventually sit. The site is clearly being prepped for installation, marking another major step forward for the land.

The Time Rover even hops aboard the Terminal Link before rolling onto a jet bridge just in time, proving that even extinction can be adorable when done Disney style.
