Disneyland closes Club Pixar Dance Party

Pixar Fest says goodbye to Club Pixar!

The nighttime dance party wrapped up its run on Sunday, June 2nd. While initially planned to last through Pixar Fest (ending August 4th), guest feedback and operational changes led to its early closure.

There seems to be a glitch with Club Pixar information.

The Disneyland Resort mobile app shows Club Pixar as Closed. This is likely the most accurate source.
The official website lists Club Pixar as open from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through July 15th, but this might be outdated.

Since Pixar Fest runs until August 4th, the website info could be wrong.

Here’s what to do:

Rely on the mobile app information for now.
Call Disneyland customer service or check the website closer to your visit for the latest updates.

This will ensure you have the most accurate information about Club Pixar before heading to the park.

According to The Orange County Register, guests can enjoy Pixar-themed games, screenings, character photo opportunities, and food and drinks in the area from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. throughout the remaining festival, ending on August 4th.

Reportedly, this entertainment cut was due to the recent unionization of Disneyland Resort entertainment Cast Members with Actors’ Equity.

First Look at Adorable New Bluey Minisodes Coming to Disney+ and Disney Jr.

Get ready for some Bluey fun! The first seven mini-episodes, each one to three minutes long, land on Disney+ on Wednesday, July 3rd at midnight PDT. Disney Jr. and Disney Channel will also be airing the first two episodes that same day. You can catch the rest during the “Red, White and Bluey” marathon over Fourth of July weekend!

The collection of one- to three-minute “Bluey Minisodes” is written by “Bluey” creator Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio. The shorts highlight funny and sweet moments featuring Bluey and Bingo, leaning into playful interactions and games that further explore the characters and world of “Bluey.”

In the premiere minisode titled “Burger Dog,” Bluey and Bingo dance to annoying music while Bandit comes up with a plan to stop it. The additional minisodes premiering in the first batch include “Bingo 3000,” “Muffin Unboxing,” “Letter,” “Hungry,” “Three Pigs” and “Animals.”

The second batch of “Bluey Minisodes” will premiere on platforms later this year, followed by the final batch in 2025.

Global phenomenon “Bluey” was the No. 1 most-watched series on streaming last quarter among total viewers in the U.S.* The series follows Bluey, a lovable and inexhaustible blue heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad and little sister, Bingo. 2024 PGA Family Golf Championship Coming to Walt Disney World Resort

Arnold Palmer Golf Management has announced the Walt Disney World® Resort will host the 2024 PGA Family Golf Championship at Disney’s Palm Golf Course on September 28th and 29th. This special event continues to build on the strong foundation laid by the PGA Junior League and marks another significant milestone in family-oriented golf experiences.

A Celebration of Family and Golf

Introduced by the PGA of America in 2022, the PGA Family Golf program builds upon the success of the PGA Junior League, which has seen active participation from Arnold Palmer Golf Management annually at Disney’s world-class courses. The championship encourages families to come together, blending the spirit of competition with family fun. According to Alex Forsyth, PGA, Director of Sales and Marketing at Arnold Palmer Golf Management, “The family nature of this tournament makes it the perfect event to be held at the Walt Disney World® golf courses,” highlighting the resort’s commitment to family-oriented activities.

Tournament Structure and Divisions

The 2024 championship promises two days of exciting golf action, accommodating teams of 2 to 4 players who are either biologically or legally related. Participants can compete in one of four divisions:

Junior Division: Teams must include at least one adult and one junior, making it a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to team up.
Adult Division: All-adult teams can show off their skills and camaraderie on the greens.
Professional Adult Division: At least one member must be a PGA of America or LPGA Professional, elevating the level of play.
Professional Junior Division: Combining professional expertise with youthful enthusiasm, these teams must include both a professional and a junior.

Competition Format

The championship kicks off with a scramble format in the first round, where teams choose the best tee shot among two players, then continue from that spot. This format is especially engaging in the junior division, where each shot must see participation from both an adult and a junior, ensuring everyone plays a pivotal role.

The final round switches to a modified alternate shot format. Here, after the best tee shot is selected, team members alternate shots until the ball is holed. This format not only tests precision and teamwork but also ensures that all team members contribute significantly to the game.

Qualifying for the National Championship

Teams vying for a spot in the National Championship can qualify through their performance in the 2024 championship, with various criteria for two-player, four-player, and professional divisions. Additionally, winners from local PGA Family Golf events held after August 1, 2023, can secure their invitations, making every local event a crucial step toward the national stage.

This year’s lineup features a tantalizing blend of original concepts and potential blockbuster adaptations, promising a spine-chilling experience for visitors.

Anticipated IP-Based Houses

The speculation map hints at four additional houses based on popular intellectual properties, stirring widespread anticipation. A Cadillac with a frosty overlay suggests a chilling new take in a Ghostbusters house, likely inspired by the themes from the recently released Frozen Empire film. An icon indicating no audio could be teasing a house based on the silence-centric horror, A Quiet Place, aligning with the release of A Quiet Place: Day One. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has temporarily paused the nighttime show “The Wonderful World of Animation.” This immersive projection show, which takes place on front of the iconic Chinese Theatre, showcases more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation. Celebrating universal themes like magic, adventure, and family, the show features scenes from classics such as “Sleeping Beauty” and “The Incredibles,” as well as modern favorites like “Coco.”

The pause is due to a private event at the park, which includes a live performance by Maroon 5. The concert requires a large stage setup that obstructs the Chinese Theatre’s projectors, essential for the animation show. “The Wonderful World of Animation” is scheduled to resume on June 7 at 10 pm, following the conclusion of this special event.
