Starting at the stroke of midnight, participants will navigate a course filled with relentless characters and spine-chilling surprises. After conquering the course, racers and a limited number of spectators can celebrate their escape at an exclusive post-race party at Siren’s Bar, featuring delectable treats and live entertainment until 2 AM. Competitive runners can also vie for awards for the top three male and female finishers.

The Story of Reflections

Disney first announced Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge in 2018 amidst rumors of a new nature-inspired resort. The project was set to rise on the site of the long-closed River Country, which was demolished in 2019 to make way for the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort. However, the COVID-19 shutdowns in 2020 and a subsequent permit for trailer removal in 2021 fueled speculation that the project had been canceled.

In a surprising turn of events, Disney filed a five-year extension for the project’s staging ground permit in 2023. Another extension for a construction permit followed in May 2024. This activity suggests that Disney may announce the resumption of work on Reflections or a different resort in the same area at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend.

Event Times and Pricing

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place from 7:00 PM to midnight, giving guests ample time to enjoy all the spooky fun. Ticket prices range from $119 to $199 per ticket, plus tax, depending on the event date. Ticket holders can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm on event nights to enjoy a few extra hours of fun.

Discounts

There are discounts available for certain guests. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket for event nights in August and September. Note these discounts are not available for any dates in October.

Hurricane Debby made landfall in Steinhatchee, Florida, around 7 a.m., bringing a significant threat of widespread flooding and other impacts to the region, including popular tourist destinations like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.

While the storm is expected to weaken as it moves across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry over the next few days, the primary concern remains the potential for excessive rainfall. Forecasts predict widespread accumulations of 10-15 inches, with some areas potentially exceeding 15 inches, particularly closer to the coast. This could lead to significant flooding in Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Tybee, Beaufort, Richmond Hill, and surrounding areas.

In addition to the relentless rain, isolated tornadoes pose a threat from Monday through Tuesday, with the highest risk being concentrated along the coast. Wind gusts exceeding 50 mph are also expected, with isolated gusts potentially surpassing 60 mph, raising concerns about power outages, especially south of the Altamaha River.

The storm surge, estimated at 1-2 feet, could cause tides to reach nearly 9 feet, inundating marshes but not expected to cause major flooding at this time. A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the entire coast, along with Storm Surge and Flood Watches.

River flooding is another concern, with the Ohoopee and Canoochee Rivers expected to reach major flood stages by Wednesday morning. The Ogeechee River near Eden may also approach major flood stage by the end of the week.
