Please Refurbish this ride – “It’s Tough To Be a Bug” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

its tough to be a bug

If you’ve been a reader of Chip and Company for a while, you’ll know that I wrote a piece about the show “It’s Tough To Be a Bug!” about 9 months ago.  So why I am writing another about it so soon, you ask?  Because instead of just upgrading it, I’d prefer that we talk about refurbishing the whole space, and get rid of it completely!  That’s how much I don’t like this ride!

BBC America is coming out with a new show, called “Would You Rather…” which is a spin on the fun child’s game that my daughter has.  To that end, here is my own personal Would You Rather moment.  I would rather ride “its a small world” 75 times in a row without stopping than see “It’s Tough To Be a Bug!” once.  It’s that bad for me…

However, what should I replace it with?  It’s a great venue, there’s no doubt about that.  Located inside the Tree of Life at Discovery Island, it could easily become another show in very short order, I think.  I’m not privy to attendance numbers, but I don’t think that “Bug’s Life”, as I call it, is always busy.  I might be wrong, though, so please correct me in the comments if I am.  The more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that the Imagineers could create an awesome show attraction in this very spot dedicated to the classic Disney movie, “The Jungle Book.” That is a movie that is very under-represented at Walt Disney World, and it would be great to include that in an attraction, and what better place than Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

So tell me, what do you think?  Would an attraction based on “The Jungle Book” be a good replacement for the “It’s Tough To Be a Bug!” show?  If not, why not?

Heck, they could show the press release talking about “Avatarland” on that screen, and it would be an improvement over what’s currently there!

But you tell me, am I on the right track, or way off base?

Resort Hopping – Sailing from Hollywood Studios to Epcot

Resort Hopping - Sailing from Hollywood Studios to Epcot

My writers and I love offering you Disney World Planning Tips and Tricks. Using our collective knowledge we like to prepare you for what to expect before, during, and after your Disney World vacation. In case you missed my last article I discussed Resort Hopping over at the Magic Kingdom.

Today I want to talk to you about something outside the Disney World Theme Parks and that is the Disney World Resorts, specifically the ones between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

This is one of my favorite Resort Hopping experiences as you get to use the Friendship Boats. There is no way you can fit this resort hop into one day unless you took the whole day to do it. We like to split them up into 2 days. Also I find that this resort hop is better around dinner time or in the evening as the sunset on the BoardWalk area is breath-taking.

There are 5 Resorts that make up the Epcot & Hollywood Area Resorts.

Resorts

Since our Resort Hop today has more of a nautical theme to it, just imagine your Friendship Boat is a Pirate ship and your sailing the high seas in search of treasure. Trust me you will find it at these Disney Deluxe Resorts!

This resort hop works best if you are starting in either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Driving by car is very tedious and I would not recommend it. But if you must, park your car at Disney Board Walk and just go from there as parking will be free.

Quick Tip – Just tell the Gate Guard you would like to walk around and look at the Resort. If you have a parking pass and Keys to the World Card I usually just flash those and they wave me on through.

Day 1

However you chose to get there, I am going to start this plan at Disney’s BoardWalk. Here you can walk the BoardWalk, take in the sights and sounds, stop off for a bite to eat, or even check out the street performers. A visit to the BoardWalk is a must for us on every visit.

While here you can also check out the Boardwalk Inn and the Boardwalk Villas. Both resorts capture the charm, whimsy and elegance of 1940s Atlantic City. Sitting along a boardwalk packed with amusements, the Resorts offers dynamic views of the BoardWalk and of the glittering waters of Crescent Lake.

Be sure to walk around and explore. There are literally hundreds of points of interest to check out. Make sure to bring your camera for pictures, and a stroller for little ones. The walk around the BoardWalk is perfect for couples and for families too, as it is nowhere near as packed as Downtown Disney or some of the other resorts. Try having a treat at the BoardWalk Bakery or rent a surrey bike and ride around in style! My writer Melissa lists all the fun things you can do at the Boardwalk in this great article. Is Disney’s Boardwalk Villas Resort For You?

At this point you can continue to-day 2 or you can wait and come back here to this area later.

Day 2

After a nice stroll down at the Boardwalk our next stop is across Crescent Lake to the Yacht Club Resort & Villas & Beach Club Resort & Villas. All of these resorts have a New England feel to them. I would say probably for me some of the best looking on Disney property. I love the crisp colors with white contrast on all the buildings.

I suggest when you are walking through Disney Beach Club Resort stop off at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. My favorite place to get Ice Cream at Walt Disney World. We have no set way to walk around these Resorts we usually just start at the Yacht Club and work our way down to the Beach Club taking in the beautiful surroundings. Both resorts are connected together and share many amenities. The pool area is one of the best on Disney property! The Beach Club is literally a stones throw from Epcot so Illuminations: Reflections of Earth can get quite loud at night.

After you have taken in the sights and sounds of New England its time to jump on the Ferry again for a stop off at the Disney Swan and Dolphin Resorts. While not owned by Disney I consider them as much Disney’s as any place else on site. Be sure to take plenty of pictures! I have never eaten at any of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin but I hear they are very good.

If you want to check out a map of the Resorts and Ferry Route check it out here.

So that’s it for our Epcot/Hollywood Studios Resort Hop. If you are lucky enough to stay at one of these Disney Deluxe Accommodations then your already home 🙂 I hope you enjoy Resort Hopping as much as my family and I do. Stay tuned next time as I discuss the Animal Kingdom Area Hop.

If you have anything little tips or suggestions on things to do and see at these resorts be sure to let us know in the comment section below.

5 Tips for Choosing Your Port Adventure

5 Tips for Choosing Your Port Adventure

“I want adventure in the great wide somewhere…I want it more than I can tell…” Belle sang it best and this may be your song when your Disney Cruise is finally booked. You’re prepared for getting onboard but pulling into port is an entirely different story.

To venture, or not to venture…that is the question!

Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of port adventures for each port of call, so how do you know which one is right for you?

You may find that there are several port excursions that are very similar for the same or different ports on any given itinerary. For example, in Nassau alone Disney Cruise Line offers at least 4 different Dolphin excursions, so how do you know which one to choose?

  1. Filter by age: If you want the whole family to be able to participate then filter by age to eliminate extra bulk of excursions you won’t be able to enjoy as a family.
  2. Read the descriptions carefully: many of the excursions read very much the same, don’t be tricked into skipping over the similar parts because sometimes the devil is in the details! For example…many of the dolphin excursions are quite tricky…did you know that of all the choices only one excursion offers the actual “Swim with a dolphin”, also knows the “Dorsal pull” where you hold onto the dolphin fin as they propel you through the water.
  3. Check the price: There is usually a wide variety of price range on excursions be sure to check the price and note that the price listed is for EACH person. Some rates may lower for children of certain ages.
  4. Check the time: Keep in mind your time at port is not indefinite and the “all aboard” time is not optional. While the back of Disney’s ships are super cute I doubt you’d enjoy them from the dock as your ship sails away without you. Set your watch to “ships time” so you’ll be back intime. Some excursions seem to offer a day full of aactivitiy until you read the description and realize you have a 3 hour ride to do the 15 minute excursion you paid for.
  5. Read reviews: many people have made the same mistakes you’re about to make with your shore excursion. Don’t spend your hard earned money on an excursion that’s less than sub-par. Read what others have had to say about your excursion choice before you click “book now”. Passporter’s Disney Cruise Line is a great resource for all things Disney Cruise Line, including port adventures. First hand reviews and trip reports are very helpful so you can determine which is best for your family.

Book your Disney cruise with the Practical Planner and receive FREE concierge level service as well as onboard credits that can be combined with Disney’s onboard credit offers.

Onboard Credit Offers:

  • $1,000 to $2,500 = $50 onboard credit (+Disney Cruise Line OBC=$75)
  • $2,500 to $3,500 =$75 onboard credit (+Disney Cruise Line OBC=$100)
  • $3,500 to $4,500= $100 onboard credit (+Disney Cruise Line OBC=$125)
  • $4,500 and up=up to a $200 onboard credit (+Disney Cruise Line OBC=$250)

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Marquee at Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney Imagineering Adds Finishing Touches to Disney's Art of Animation Resort's Marquee

Last week, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) put the finishing touches on the new resort’s marquee. Measuring in at 46 feet, six inches, the resort’s sign now holds the record as the largest freestanding marquee at Walt Disney World Resort. (Incidentally, it’s 18 inches taller than the famous “HOLLYWOOD” sign in Los Angeles, Calif.).

The photo, supplied by WDI, shows three layers of development the marquee went through in its creation – from digital design, to model, to full-scale installation.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which will feature four wings dedicated to popular films Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, will open in phases beginning May 31.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

If the heat has taken its toll or you have eaten a little too much during lunch at San Angel Inn here are a few places to catch a little Siesta (but don’t tell anyone that I told you it was ok) . This is to keep you from turning green on those rides you should avoid after eating a good filling meal!

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

My favorite spot to catch a quick nap in the summer heat is the American Adventure at Epcot. The combination of the air conditioner and the darkness puts me to sleep like a baby.Just be sure to let your travel party know to bump you if you start to snore.I don’t think that we would want to disturb history during the writing of the Declaration of Independence.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Another soothing place is Finding Nemo the Musical at Animal Kingdom. Not that the show isn’t worth watching but after a long day at Animal Kingdom this is the best way to catch a power nap so you can finish out your day. It’s a little loud with the music but if you are desperate for a nap nothing can stop you from drifting off to dreamland with Nemo and friends.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Spaceship Earth is another Epcot favorite. The soothing sound of the narrator in your ear,the darkness of the “big golf ball” and the cool breezes you catch from the movement through the ride.It is one of the better places to nap because the cars are pretty comfy and there is not a lot of noise or lights.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

Muppet Vision  3D isn’t a bad place to catch a few winks. The seats are like movie theatre seats so they are a little more comfy than some the hard benches you could be napping on around the park.Plus it’s dark and cool inside.Your 3D Muppet Vision glasses are the perfect cover up so nobody around you sees what you are up to.Just be sure to wake up before the ending of the show….you wouldn’t want to be scared out of your nap.It might make you cranky for the remainder of the day.

Top 5 Places To Take A Quick Siesta

I can’t believe that I’m admitting to this one.It is my favorite show of all times and I try to stay awake for every rotation through the dark cool theater. The Carousel of Progress. There I said it.I have been known to snooze through every great big beautiful tomorrow chorus.I have loved this show since I was a very little girl and there is not a trip that we don’t sit through it multiple times.

But when you are hopping from park to park day after day, eating wonderful food and indulging in Dole Whips it makes it a little hard to stay awake for entire day. It’s easier than heading back to your resort and crawling into bed..so fill your belly with some delicious Disney food and head over to one of these attractions to catch a little Disney induced Siesta.

Disney World Quick Tips – Ten FREE Things To Do At Disney World

Disney World Quick Tips - Ten FREE Things To Do At Disney World

Yes, there are quite a few things you can do while you are at Walt Disney World for free. Free is not generally a word associated with anything Disney but if you look, these  things are there at no cost!! Here is a quick outline of ten things that run the gamut from FUN to USEFUL.

  1. Boat Ride From Downtown Disney To Port Orleans – If you look at the above picture you can see just how beautiful and serene this ride is It takes 20-25 minutes each way and the entire route looks much like this.
  2. Free Coca Cola Products – Club Cool is a cool (temperature) place to take a break from the heat and sample free Coca Cola products from around the world. Many of them are excellent but if you can con someone to try a drink called Beverly, have your camera ready for the reaction.
  3. Monorail Rides – Too often, the Monorail is looked at as transportation only. It’s actually a fun and relaxing way to pass some time. If you happen to be going to one of the Monorail Resorts, the Magic Kingdom, or Epcot it also meets your transportation needs – two for none so to speak.
  4. Entertainer Bob Jackson At Port Orleans Riverside – Bob Jackson provides music and comic antics for an evening of fun at the River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans Riverside. There is no cost for the entertainment but you may be inclined to have a beverage or two (drinks are not free – but you knew that).
  5. Music In The Grand Floridian Resort Lobby – Depending on the time of day and day of the week you can usually find either a talented pianist or a full dance orchestra playing in the lobby. This is a marvelous way to relax and unwind.
  6. Electrical Water Pageant – This happens nightly on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It is a group of lighted and decorated barges with accompanying music that passes by the Polynesian at around 9:00 PM and works its way past the Grand Floridian and then over to Bay Lake where it passes the Wilderness Lodge and ends up passing Fort Wilderness at approximately 9:45 PM. Very neat!! You can view them from the nearest beach or dock.
  7. Free Character Photo For Disney Visa Cardholders – In the Innoventions West building between 1:30 and 4:30 PM daily you can have a meet and greet and get a free 5×7 picture if you are a Disney Visa cardholder. Just show your card to get into the meet and greet.
  8. Storytelling At The Animal Kingdom Lodge – Each evening at the firepit at Arusha Rock outside the lobby, there is a storyteller who spins tales of Africa. If it’s rainy, they move the whole thing inside to the indoor firepit. Check with the Cast Members at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the exact time because it varies by season.
  9. Free Entertainment On The Boardwalk – There are roving entertainers of all types each night on the Boardwalk. They are all free for your enjoyment and generally begin their performances at around 6:00 or 6:30 and go until 10:00 or 10:30 (people staying at the Boardwalk Inn have to sleep you know).
  10. Free Package Delivery To Your Resort – Items purchased while touring can be delivered to your resort for free. Just tell the cashier that you want them to go to the resort before they begin ringing your order. They say to allow 24 hours but I generally allow two days if you are leaving soon.

There you go!! So now you know that there are at least 10 free things at Walt Disney World. There are actually a lot more but 10 is a good starting point! As always, enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World!!

How to Tour the Parks – Floating through the Magic Kingdom

Peter Pan Flight

With all the construction going on at the Magic Kingdom visiting here can be difficult. With all the closures and refurbishments throughout the park it can make navigating a little interesting.

Having said that I feel you can do Magic Kingdom in a day if you really push it but if you like to take your time and really enjoy spreading the magic over 2 days, or if you have little ones, might I suggest splitting my touring plan up. Either way I will help you navigate around the park and help make the most of your stay at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Get there Early

I like to get to the park at rope drop or plan an early breakfast at the Crystal Palace to grab some photos of the park before all the people come in.

Quick Tip – Be sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservation 180 days out for the Crystal Palace, ask for seating before the park opens for some spectacular photos of yourself and your family on Main Street, U.S.A..

And were off

Once Disney does the song and dance and drops the rope I have noticed most people are making a mad dash towards 3 rides.

I am guilty of being one of those people way back when. I would hurry off and try to ride Space Mountain at-least 3 times before I did anything else.

First Stop: Fantasyland

Over the years I have learned when you get into the park the first place you want to go is Fantasyland, especially with kids. You walk into Fantasyland on any day around noon and it will be PACKED! So we have always made it a point to hit up the rides in Fantasyland first.

Start on the Peter Pan and work your towards Tomorrowland. We usually just go from ride to ride with no wait time. Keep in mind around lunchtime Peter Pan will have long waits so it’s just better to get it out-of-the-way now.

Quick Tip – Wait on Mickey’s PhilharMagic till later in the day when you need a break and want to sit down for a while. There is plenty of room so there is no need to rush it.

There is a lot of construction going on to make way for the new Fantasyland Expansion so some rides may be open or closed depending on your visit.

Onward to Tomorrow

By the time you are done in Fantasyland most of the people who ran to Tomorrowland first are now done and moving onto new areas. So there is usually a decline in people for a short period of time. This is your chance to check out Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Speedway, etc.

Quick Tip – Hold off on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I find this ride is the best later in the afternoon or around dusk with all the neon in Tomorrowland is lit up.

Journey to Adventure

At this point most of the people who slept in late are arriving to the park and they are going towards Fantasyland or Tomorrowland which means this is the best time to attack Adventureland.

Ride the Jungle Boats, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. The lines should be short but the day is starting to heat up. This would be a great time for a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle!

Quick Tip – Wait on the Swiss Family Treehouse as we will get to this ride later in the day since it is just a walk through anyway.

Give us Liberty

Most people think at this point I would head up to Frontierland and hit up Thunder & Splash Mountain since we are so close, but they would be wrong. We take a short detour through Liberty Square and hit the Haunted Mansion and the Hall of Presidents. This is also a good time to have lunch at a few of my favorites Liberty Tree Tavern, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe or Sleepy Hollow for a snack.

Quick Tip – If you’re not eating lunch and want a Disney Snack that is more like a meal you can get a Turkey Leg right on the edge of Frontierland. I would pay cash for it and not use a Quick Service Credit.

The Final Frontier

Now is the time to head over to Frontierland and visit the Mountains – Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain (if its open). Head out to Tom Sawyer Island to work off that lunch. If you have a little one there is a play area right underneath the Walt Disney World Railroad. Hang out here after you are done with the rides in the area till the train comes. There is also a great place to charge your cell phone near the Play area.

Quick Tip – There are bathrooms here as well so if you need to go this is a great pit stop site.

Riding the Rail

We like to take the train around Walt Disney World at this point and head back to the entrance of Disney World. This is a great time to nurse or bottle feed your little ones.

Time to Relax & Take in a Show

After you are done riding the rail head back to Fantasyland and check out Mickey’s Phillharmagic. Usually from there we Ride the Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Carousel of Progress, etc. Stuff where we can sit down and relax. Most times my feet are tired at this point so taking in the shows seems to help restore my used up energy. Here are some more tips of re-energizing.

Walk to Adventureland and do the Swiss Family Tree House and The Enchanted Tiki Room. Along with any other shows you want to do.

This is also a good time to check out a parade or any other shows you might have missed. Hopefully you picked up a Times Guide when you entered the park.

Quick Tip – Ask any Cast Member for a map or Times Guide and they will point you to the nearest place to get one.

Ride Rinse Repeat

You have done just about everything in the park by now. This is when you whip out your smart phone and bring up my favorite tool – Lines from Touring Plans.com. Check wait times on rides you may want to ride again.

Time to Eat

So we like to take an early dinner. Most times we are going to leave the park and visit one of the Resorts. This would be a good time to do that. You could always leave and hit another park, go back to the room to freshen up, or if you are really hardcore go back through my Plan of Attack all over again.

Parades & Fireworks

Usually by the time we leave for dinner and come back it is starting to get dark, there is where you will try to find a good seat for one of the nighttime parades and shows. If you are a little early you can always window shop on Main Street till it gets closer to the time.

Check out my past article Best Fireworks Viewing Locations at Walt Disney World for an idea on where you want to sit.

Extra Evening Magic Hour

I love Extra Magic Hours especially in the evening. Most times the park starts out crowded then they seem to dwindle down to nothing. I can remember being at the Magic Kingdom at 3am one time..It was fabulous!

As far as an attack plan goes during EMH I usually go clockwise around the Park. We usually walk a little slower and take in being in the Magic Kingdom at Night. I love all the lights and sounds of being there after dark!

There you have it

Well there is my Magic kingdom Touring Plan. There are tons of books out there that charge big bucks for what I just gave you for free. If you have any suggestions of want to share with us your Touring Plan let us know in the comment section below.

John Carter Followup Already in the Works

John Carter Followup Already in the Works

Before the official release of John Carter, Disney is already hoping to turn the film into a trilogy. Director Andrew Stanton has made no secret of his desire for two more films. According to Screen Rant, Stanton and his co-writer Michael Chabon have not only written outlines for the next two films but they are in the beginning stages of writing the script. The second film is tentatively titled John Carter: The Gods of Mars.

But is all of this planning premature? According to Deadline the answer might be yes. Early tracking for John Carter has not been positive. On the other hand early word of mouth from people who have actually seen the film has been positive. Disney’s marketing for the film hasn’t really picked up yet so there is a slight possibility that more people could become interested in the film before its release in two weeks.

I will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios March 3rd for a special preview of John Carter and I will share my thoughts on the film here on Chip and Company. If you would like to know more of Andrew Stanton’s thoughts on this film and the possible sequels there is a great interview with him at Ain’t It Cool News.

John Carter will be released in theaters on March 9, 2012.

Disney World Park Dining: Top 3 Character Meals

Disney World Park Dining: Top 3 Character Meals

For those of you who have planned a trip to Walt Disney World before, you know how important it is to plan where you are going to eat, and to make your Advance Dining Reservations (or ADR’s). The hard part comes in trying to narrow down all the great places to eat to just the select few you will dine at on your WDW vacation (because, sadly, you can’t eat at them all in one trip, although that would be great if you could!).

Character meals are a great choice for adults and kids alike, as they generally offer great food in a fun atmosphere, with the added bonus of built in opportunities to meet some of your favorite Disney characters! Below are my top 3 character meal picks for character meals in the Theme Parks:

Princess Storybook Dining: Located at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot’s Norway Pavillion, this is the spot to meet all your favorite Disney Princesses, including Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and the occasional visit from Ariel as well. Breakfast is served family style (where platters of food are brought directly to your table and you can have as many refills as you want!) and includes pretty standard breakfast fare – eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes/biscuits/cinnamon rolls. Lunch and Dinner include an appetizer buffet of salads/cold cuts etc, and you then select an entree from a set list of about 6-8 choices (including some traditional Norwegian fare!), and assorted desserts are served family style. The real draw here is getting to meet all the Princesses in one place- many people find this as a great alternative to the more popular (and therefore harder to get an ADR for) Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Tusker House: Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this safari themed breakfast starring Donald is fun for those of all ages. Dressed in safari gear, Donald is joined by Daisy, Goofy, and Minnie for this breakfast buffet. The characters here are really great, but the real star is the food – Biscuits and sausage gravy, frittatas, corned beef hash, cheese blintzes, oatmeal/porridge, warm banana cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla sauce…the list goes on! In addition to all those mouth watering eats, they also serve some more standard breakfast items, like muffins/pastries, eggs, breakfast meats, and more! I can’t imagine a more perfect start to a day full of Animal Kingdom fun that to have a delicious breakfast with Donald and friends at Tusker House! They also serve a character lunch (with some yummy BBQ and African items!), as well as dinner – which includes delicious food but no characters

Crystal Palace: With a great location right inside the Main Street USA area of the Magic Kingdom, the Crystal Palace is a really popular dining spot. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore and Piglet make the rounds during breakast, lunch, and dinner, which are all served buffet-style. The line for a fresh Mickey Waffle at breakfast time is worth the wait, or try some of their other offerings like delicious pastries, eggs, fresh fruit, and assorted other hot fresh goodies! Lunch and dinner offer a wide variety of salads, vegetable dishes and sides, carved meat stations, and mouth watering desserts. My family and I always eat at the Crystal Palace, and it is my favorite character dining experience – the characters are great, and the food has always been amazing and fresh at every meal I’ve eaten there

Honorable mention: Cinderella’s Royal Table – There are two reasons this Princess-studded character meal only gets an honorable mention – 1. It is a Signature Dining Experience, which means it is more expensive than the other character meals mentioned above, and if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it will cost you 2 Table Service Credits per person to dine here (whereas all of the above are 1 Table Service meals), and 2. It is one of the hardest meals to get a reservation for in all of Walt Disney World – with good reason, I mean really, what little Prince or Princess wouldn’t want to dine IN Cinderella’s Castle, and be greeted by Cinderella herself? Another perk to the meal is that the price of the meal includes a photo package (1-8×10 and 4-4×6 photos) of your party posed with Cinderella as she greets you upon your arrival at the Castle. Once upstairs, you will get the chance to meet Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, and the Fairy Godmother (Disney doesn’t guarantee that all of the Princesses will be at any given meal, but you will get to meet 4 or 5 of them for sure). Breakfast is served family style, and is the usual Disney breakfast fare of eggs, pancakes/french toast/waffles, assorted meats and pastries, etc. Lunch and Dinner are a little different, in that you choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert from a set menu. It really is a unique experience, and you really get the Royal Treatment at Cinderella’s Royal Table. I was lucky enough to get to have dinner here on my honeymoon, and loved every minute of it!
