Disney Publishing Launches Digital Edition of Disney Junior Magazine

Disney JR

Disney Junior is a staple in my house and in the homes of many other families with small children. Because of this, the announcement yesterday from Disney Publishing World Wide that their new digital magazine, Disney Junior, will be hitting Apple Newsstands soon has been met with great excitement!

Andrew Sugerman, executive vice president, Disney Publishing Worldwide had this to say about the innovative new magazine, “The demand for high quality content has never been greater. As the use of tablet devices continues to grow, it is a natural next step for us as the world’s largest children’s publisher, to find different ways of extending Disney’s stories to multiple digital formats. Disney Junior allows families to immerse themselves in the stories and characters they love wherever and whenever they choose.”

The magazine will be available by digital subscription or single issues. Disney Junior features enhanced content from the print magazine and some really fantastic interactive features. These features include coloring, tracing, drag and drop, matching and games and puzzles. There will be 12 issues per year with two special additions dedicated to Disney Junior property such as “Sofia the First” and Jake and the Neverland Pirates”  in the summer and fall respectively.

Take the kids to Aunty’s Beach House at Aulani

auntysbeachhouse

When visiting Aulani with 3 to 12 year old kids, you will most definitely be visiting Aunty’s Beach House! Probably a lot. Honestly, it’s a great place for the kids. There is never a dull moment in this amazing 5200 Square Foot play area. Complete with childcare professionals, indoor and outdoor play areas and more. Once inside your kids will become a part of Aunty’s O’hana (family).

Let’s take a stroll over through Aulani to Aunty’s Beach House together. We can peer in the windows to see what the kids are up to together. I’m sure Aunty won’t mind a bit.

Let’s tell the cast members at check in what we’re up to though. No one gets in or out of this area without express permission and a signed agreement. These kids are their responsibility and they do not take it lightly. Be prepared to provide a safe word to get your kids out, as well as your kids wrist band to sign in and out with.  After a few days the cast members may know you, but that won’t mean they will let up on the security that is there for the kids protection. I for one appreciate knowing this.

Enjoy Some “Grown Up” Fun At Epcot’s World Showcase

WShowcase

There are so many great things for adults to do at Walt Disney World that narrowing it down can be quite the task! Personally, I enjoy spending an afternoon/evening with my husband at Epcot’s World Showcase, there is a ton to do, and it is the perfect place to have a nice date night!

Drink around the world – This is an activity that will fill up most of your afternoon, as it’s meant to be something where you can take your time and really enjoy the countries and the specialty drinks that they offer. How it works is you go from country to country within the Showcase and sample the signature drink(s) that they have to offer. Mexico offers tequila/margaritas, Germany has beers, Italy has sangria, Japan serves sake, and so on. Obviously you will want to approach this with a full stomach and enough time on your hands to give each drink it’s deserved time to shine (in other words, go slowly so you don’t get sloppy!). It’s really fun, and it’s the perfect way to get to see all that the Showcase has to offer.
