Have you been to see Mickey lately at Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom? It’s a great spot to beat the heat or just relax “backstage” to catch up with everyone’s favorite mouse.

Now when you visit, Magician Mickey Mouse has some extra magic in store for you. Take a look!

This is so cool. I did pass by this sign last night at MNSSHP and had no idea what it was, now I know. I wish I had went in and seen Mickey, oh well there is always next time.

Have you been to see that talking Mickey yet?

New DisneyQuest Halloween Party at Walt Disney World

Disney Quest Halloween Party
Disney Quest Halloween Party

Disney Quest Halloween Party logo

I have always loved Halloween as a kid, and I still love it today. Actually I enjoy Halloween even more now because I get to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

This year, I think families will find even more to be excited about with the brand new Downtown Disney Halloween offering at DisneyQuest. Similar to the popular DisneyQuest New Year’s Eve event, this party is perfect for families, with unlimited DisneyQuest games, two DJ dance parties, character meet ‘n’ greets, photo ops and of course, trick-or-treating. It’s five floors of fun with something for everyone! And, no surprise, dressing up is encouraged … there’s even a costume contest that makes every kid a winner!

Disney Quest Halloween

Have you heard, Mickey’s-Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party already sold out for October 31st, I imagine tickets will go faster for this event now that MNSSHP is sold out for Halloween night.

Tickets are $45 in advance and $54 if you purchase the day of the event. To book your place at the party, or for more information, call (407) W-DISNEY.

Disney XD has ordered a show called “Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero,” which is an animated comedy adventure series that follows Penn Zero, a boy from the suburbs who inherits the coolest job ever – part-time hero and leader of a team of good guys who zap to other worlds to save the day. Production is underway and it is scheduled for a fall 2014 premiere.

In “Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero,” Penn’s destiny came knocking unexpectedly, but that doesn’t stop him from jumping head first into his hero duties, while juggling his normal life in Middleburg. Every day after school, Penn teams up with his sidekick Sashi and wise man Boone to fight the evil part-time villain Rippen and save another world. Together, they will tackle everything from outer space and the Old West, to lands of enchantment and the ultimate challenge – suburbia.

The series voice cast includes Thomas Middleditch (“The Campaign”) as Penn and Adam DeVine (“Workaholics,” “Pitch Perfect”) as Boone. Both Middleditch and DeVine were featured in Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” list. Additional voice talent includes Tania Gunadi (“Aaron Stone”) as Sashi, Alfred Molina (“Monsters University,” “Spider-Man 2”) as Rippen and Larry Wilmore (“The Daily Show”) as Principal Larry, who moonlights as Rippen’s part-time minion.

The Return of the Disney Magic has Been Postponed

Disney Cruise Line Greets NYC with Worlds Largest Bumper Sticker

The Disney Magic is having major makeover and is running slightly behind schedule. Which prompted Disney to to postpone the Magics return to service by five days.

Disney says a five-night cruise out of Miami on the Disney Magic scheduled for Sunday has been canceled. The Magic is now in dry dock and will be there until Oct 25

“We encountered challenging weather conditions that made the necessary work impossible to complete in time for the first cruise,” Disney Cruise Line spokeswoman Rena Langley tells USA Today. “Clearly, we want the ship to be perfect when we welcome guests aboard.”

Passengers on the canceled cruise will receive a full refund and a reimbursement of airline change fees. Also, passengers are being offered a complimentary sailing on the Disney Magic between now and May, 2014. Alternately, passengers can choose a 35% discount on any future Disney cruise in the Bahamas or Caribbean, taken within two years and excluding holiday sail dates.

The makeover of the Disney Magic is one of the most comprehensive of any cruise ship in recent years and includes a complete revamping of deck-top areas, restaurants, children’s clubs and more.

The changes to the 1,754-passenger vessel include the removal of its iconic Mickey Pool which is being replaced by a new watery fun zone for kids, and the addition of what’s billed as one of the most thrilling water slides ever on a cruise ship.

Top 10 Classic Disney TV Shows of the 80s and 90s: Animated Edition

ducktales1
ducktales1

ducktales

I don’t know about you, but my childhood ROCKED.  I am a child of the 80s and 90s.  I was a kid in the age of slap bracelets, side pony tails, and Glamour Shots.  In short, it was awesome.  A huge part of the awesomeness were the amazingly brilliant animated series that so many hold dear.  Whether on Saturday morning cartoons or after school, Disney provided a host of lovable characters.  Today, I’m reliving those days!  Adulthood is full of deadlines and timetables.  I’m going back to a simpler time!  Take the journey with me!

1.  Ducktales (1987-1990)

If you loved this show as a child, then you are probably singing the theme song right now!  Ducktales aired for 4 seasons from 1987-1990.If you’ve never had the luxury of watching this great Disney animated television show, you are in luck!  You can now purchase seasons on DVD.  Join Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews Huey, Louie, and Dewey as they face action and adventure in Duckburg.  Will the bad guys (remember the Beagle Boys?  Those were my favorite villains) win or will Huey, Louie, and Dewey find a way to save Uncle Scrooge’s wealth?   There’s always a twist in Duckburg. Ducktales…ah-wee-oooh…sorry, I couldn’t resist!

2.  TaleSpin (1990-1991)

Oh my gracious I LOVED this show!  I remember watching it with my brothers and sister.  Those were the days!  TaleSpin airedfor one season, from 1990-1991.  Featuring characters from Disney’s Jungle Book, this animated afternoon favorite was sure to quench your need for some action and adventure after a long week at school.  Join Baloo, Kit (“Little Britches” ring a bell?) , and the gang as they fly through Cape Suzette to save the day!

3.  Darkwing Duck (1991-1992)

Crime, Adventure, Mystery, a masked duck…what more could you really ask for?  Darkwing Duck was Disney’s answer to that question.  Darkwing Duck aired for 3 seasons, from 1991-1992.  Protecting St. Canard, Darkwing Duck  is typically a bit over confident in his abilities.  Darkwing Duck isn’t afraid to fight crime and fill us with lots of laughs.

4.  Muppet Babies  (1984-1991)

Confession time.  I am a grown woman who still wonders what in the heck Nanny’s face looked like.  It used to kill me that you could only see those stripped socks!  This show features your favorite Muppets Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Rowlf in animated baby fashion.  I swear that kids had better imaginations when shows like this existed!  The combination of animation and actual videos blew me away.  Looking back now, I can see the charm!  I love that show!  This show aired for an impressive 8 seasons, from 1984-1991).  Now, what in the world did Nanny look like?

5.  Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers (1989-1990)

Following trend in the 80s and 90s, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers featured established cartoon characters, Chip and Dale.  This show aired from 1989-1990 running for 3 seasons.  Chip and Dale are detectives, catching crimes that slipped through the radar.  No mystery is too small for these lovable characters and their crew! Join Chip, Dale, Monterey Jack (I still crack up over his obsession with cheese!), Gadget, and Zipper.  Again, classic theme song that takes me back!

6.  The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1988-1991)

My brother used to LOVE this Saturday morning staple!  Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Owl, Gopher, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Eeyore, and Christopher Robin are always after another great adventure in the 100 Acre Wood.  Silly old Pooh, always after that honey!   Airing for 4 seasons, the show ended in 1991– Oh Bother!

7.  Goof Troop (1992-1993)

I was one of the lucky ones.  The ones who knew the awesomeness that was…scratch that…IS A Goofy Movie!  “It’s the leaning tower of cheez-ah!”  probably strikes a chord with you if you are near my age.  This awesome animated series inspired the1995 classic movie.  In the show and movie, Goofy is father to Max.  With Goofy being so…well…goofy, Max’s life was certainly interesting! Goofy, Max, Pete, and PJ were sure to bring you laughs!  Goof Troop aired for 2 seasons from 1992-93.

8.  Doug (Disney’s Doug on the One Saturday Morning block)  (1997-1999)

Originally a Nickelodeon series, Doug was retooled for ABC’s Saturday morning line up.  The move was a bit controversial, mostly because Disney made many changes to the original characters, including reworking character’s appearances, character plots, and probably the most controversial move, the beloved theme song turned to a whistling tune.  Either way you slice it, Doug was a staple of my childhood.  Doug is easy to relate to, Patti Mayonnaise is lovable, and there are a lot of life lessons learned from their school days.

9.  Aladdin (1994-1996)

Aladdin is one of my childhood favorites.  This spinoff cartoon series Aladdin, Jasmine, Geni, and Abu…and newly reformed Iago go up against all kinds of bad guys on the streets of Agrabah.  Aladdin aired for 3 seasons from 1994-1996.  I loved to see this tale extended into a series and while it was on in the last few years of my cartoon days, I highly enjoyed this with a short stack on Saturday mornings!

10. Adventures of the Gummi Bears (1985-1991)

My memories of this show are stellar.  My sister and I used to watch it together.  The Gummi Bears are the last of a humanlike race of bears.  They are cute, magical, and gummi!  I loved their adventures and pursuit of all things good and gummiberry and against all things ogre and evil!  I loved all those Gummi Bears–Grammi , Sunni, Tummi, Gruffi, Cubbi Gummi.   This show aired for 6 seasons from 1985-1991.

I’m thinking we should have renamed this post to characters voiced by Jim Cummings.  Did you know he provided vocal talent for 8 of the above 10 shows!  That is one talented man!  So, maybe this little list will inspire you to do a little time traveling via Youtube!  Who knows, maybe you’ll add a Ducktales box set to your Christmas list!  I can safely say we will probably all be singing these favorite show tunes for at least the next few hours (sorry)!  I know there are so many other great shows from this era and we want  to know what you think should be added in!  Here’s your chance to be heard!  Help us add to the list of the animated Disney TV shows that shape your Saturdays, added to your afternoons, and inspired your imagination.

As always, thank for reading and commenting!

See ya real soon,

Ashley

Expedition Everest to Possibly lose the Yeti

Expedition Everest Broken Track 100 - 310

Aloha ladies and gents!! I like to change my greeting from time to time just to keep you on your toes. Expedition Everest fans will not like what I have heard rumbling around. The Yeti may soon be gone. For those of you wondering the part of  the Yeti will now be played by Chiperoo. No I am kidding, or am I?

I have been hearing for a while now about problems they were having with the Yeti but I never thought they would consider removing it. I think the Yeti makes the ride. That being said I should disclose that I have never been on that ride, but I have watched a ride through on Youtube. I know it’s not the same but hey I do what I can.

I was told that the Yeti, who is a girl I hear, is apparently to heavy for the foundation of the ride. She shakes violently and it’s to much for the structure and it’s cracking underneath. I thought maybe they should make a smaller version of the Yeti, but hey who knows.

What do you think about the Yeti possibly being removed?

Anywho, that is all the Disney gossip I have right now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at [email protected] or on my facebook page.

Food Trucks coming to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort

P1110589
P1110589

hob

Starting early November, Disney will roll out four fun new Disney Food Trucks at Downtown Disney, open Wednesday through Sunday, parked at Downtown Disney West Side near Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues.

Superstar Catering, “Favorite of the Stars of Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” features delectable variations on hearty meatballs: a spinach and feta beef meatball sandwich; turkey sausage and golden raisin meatballs on polenta; and a lamb meatball flatbread with tzatziki. And meatball sliders for kids. The truck’s design is stainless steel with teal, tan and orange accents – think sleek, retro, 1930s Art Deco diner.

Namaste Café, “Tasty Explorations from Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” serves irresistible butter chicken, slow-cooked beef short ribs and tandoori spiced shrimp, all served with basmati rice, naan and pickled veggies. This is the most colorfully decorated truck of all, with art inspired by the colors and textures of Asia in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The bright-red Fantasy Fare truck, “Delightful Dishes from Disney’s Magic Kingdoms Around the World,” brings the legendary hand-dipped corn dogs of Disneyland Resort to the East Coast. Also a Croque Monsieur with housemade chips from Magic Kingdom Park and glass noodle salad with chicken and pickled veggies representing Hong Kong Disneyland. The truck is designed with down-home appeal and a nod to the past.

World Showcase of Flavors truck, “The Best of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival,” offers fest favorites: lobster rolls, pierogies and kielbasa and grass-fed beef sliders. Vintage travel stickers decorate the big green truck.

Food truck selections are one quick-service entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan. Look for prices between $8.99 to $16.99.

Wide World of Sports Unveils Disney International Youth Netball Tournament at Disney World

ESPN_Wide_World_of_Sports_Complex_Logo

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will host the inaugural Disney International Youth Netball Tournament in 2014.

The tournament, October 27-31 next year, will feature elite international teams competing and training for a week while also enjoying vacation time at the world’s leading family vacation destination.

Netball, which is popular among young women in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, is a fast-paced team game based on running, jumping, throwing and catching. Teams may include up to 12 players but only seven are allowed on the rectangular court at a time. Each player has a playing position determined by the areas on the court where they may move. The major aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible from within an area called the Goal Circle, which is a semi-circle centred on the goal line and measuring 16 feet in radius (4.9 meters). Only two players from each team may score goals, the Goal Attack and Goal Shooter.

Disney, along with Visions in Education, a leading UK-based youth and school tour operator, are the developers and operators of the tournament, which is being supported by Netball America. “We are excited about the opportunities and growth this event presents for our members in youth netball in North America and the entire international netball community,” Sonya Ottaway, President of Netball America, said.

Teams from the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, the Caribbean and Asia are expected to compete in the Disney International Youth Netball Tournament in U16, U19 and U23 age divisions.

Disneyland to Add Some Christmas Cheer to Jungle Cruise

P1030812
P1030812

Jungle Cruise

Hey ladies and gents! It is I Anonymouse. Yes I am back again! You know you live for my gossip. Today I have some Disneyland gossip for you. I know I usually do Disney World gossip but Chiperoo lets me branch out sometimes.

I hear that Disneyland decorates some of their rides for Halloween. I wish Disney World would do that. Anyway back on the topic at hand, there are rumors floating around that the Jungle Cruise will be getting a Christmas makeover. I think that would be awesome. Maybe Chippy will send me out there? No? I don’t think so either.

This is not going to a big budget type of thing but hey you don’t need a big budget to add some extra magic to an already magical ride. One scenario being tossed around is that CM’s will wear Santa hats and the boat would be dripping in Christmas lights. Or it could be a Caroling adventure where the Skippers would lead a Christmas type sing along. Last but certainly not least is the option that turns the Jungle Cruise into a nighttime type of attraction because it would have Christmas lights that dance to the music. Does that sound familiar? Osborne Lights maybe? Not sure how likely the last one is because that is popular ride and to only run it at night would not go over well.

Remember this is just rumors at this point!

What do you think of this possible change?

Anywho that is all the Disney gossip I have right now. For my past Disney gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at [email protected] or on my Facebook page.
