Disney Expands Seating Area in EPCOT's CommuniCore Hall 1

CommuniCore Hall, EPCOT’s new festival hub, opened earlier this year after a lengthy construction period. As part of the Food and Wine Festival, the hall is now being used to its full potential, offering festival merchandise and food, while giving guests a comfortable, air-conditioned spot to relax away from the Florida heat.

During a recent visit, we noticed an increase in seating inside CommuniCore Hall. Tables have been added along the walls on both sides of the room, near the merchandise displays. Previously, seating was only available in the food area, with no tables in the merchandise section.

These added tables provide more opportunities for guests to relax in the cool, air-conditioned space, enjoy their festival bites, and take a much-needed break from the sun.

A new show has arrived at Disney California Adventure this fall! “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco” brings to life songs from the Disney-Pixar animated film.

Enjoy a musical journey through “Coco” with iconic songs like “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia,” and the timeless Mexican folk song “La Llorona.”

This show has multiple performances throughout the day. After the show, you can take a photo with Miguel, the hand-animated dimensional figure, standing beside the “Remember Me” mural.

Disney to Update Entry Gates for Disneyland and California Adventure

Disneyland has announced the official start date for the construction of the new entry gates, which will be completed in stages.

As announced in January 2024, following permit filings in December 2023, Disneyland will be undergoing a phased renovation of its entry gates. The project is expected to be completed in 2025 and will include the addition of more gates, improved stroller accessibility, and enhanced ADA accessibility for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland Park’s entry gate renovation will involve removing the existing turnstiles and gates and replacing them with new automatic guest entry gates, fixed manual gates, and removable railings. Overhead shrouds will also be installed.

At Disney California Adventure, similar changes are planned, including the removal of existing turnstiles and gates and the installation of new automatic guest entry gates, fixed manual gates, removable railings, and additional overhead shrouds. Two separate permits were filed for these changes at Disney California Adventure.

The work on installing the new gates is set to start on October 7.

Oogie Boogie Bash attendees were treated to an unexpected moment when Kingdom Hearts Mickey experienced a wardrobe malfunction during the meet and greet.

TikTok user @magicwitheri captured the unexpected moment when Kingdom Hearts Mickey’s pants fell down while greeting guests at Oogie Boogie Bash. In the video, Mickey strolls over to the guests, only to have his pants slip down to his knees. He quickly stops to pull them up and awkwardly shuffles forward until a character attendant steps in to help.

For a magical Kingdom Hearts experience at Oogie Boogie Bash, you can meet Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in their special costumes on the Treat Trail at Paradise Gardens Park. They don’t typically have wardrobe malfunctions like this.

Johnny Depp recently delighted young patients at a children’s hospital with a surprise visit as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Johnny Depp, the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, made a surprise appearance at Donostia University Hospital in Spain while attending a film premiere.

US Weekly shared a video of the encounter on TikTok. It shows Depp, dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, posing with hospital employees for photos. He is also shown putting on a facemask before heading to a different part of the hospital, presumably to visit patients.

Woman Arrested at Disneyland for Attemping to Enter Park without Paying 2

A woman was arrested at Disneyland Resort this week after reportedly attempting to sneak into the park without paying for her children’s admission. The incident, which took place in front of shocked onlookers near the Jumpin’ Jellyfish ride in Disney’s California Adventure, was captured on video and quickly spread across social media, showing the woman in handcuffs as her children cried nearby.

The woman, later identified as Jessenia Diaz, 26, had allegedly performed the same stunt multiple times over the past two months. Diaz entered the park on a valid annual pass but was approached by security who attempted questioned the ages of her children, who appeared to be older than Disneyland’s free admission policy for kids under 3. Instead of cooperating, Diaz ignored security and continued into the park, ultimately leading Anaheim police to intervene.

According to reports, Diaz had successfully snuck into Disneyland at least four times without paying the required admission for her children. This time, however, she was caught and became uncooperative, shouting profanities at officers as they arrested her. According to reporting by Fox News Digital, Anaheim police Sgt. Matt Sutter has stated when guests are caught trying to enter the park without paying for their kids typically ‘Disney will …. work with you. They’ll try to come up with a solution,” he added. “They want their guests to stay in the park and enjoy their day. But she wasn’t having any of that.” According to Sutter, had Diaz cooperated, she never would have been arrested.

Starting on October 18, 2024, Walt Disney World is increasing the maximum prices for Individual Lightning Lane access to three of its most popular attractions. The new prices represent the highest max ever for these rides. The attractions affected by the price hikes include:

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, which will see its price increase to $13 (up from $12).
TRON Lightcycle Run, also at Magic Kingdom, will now cost $21 (up from $20).
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will increase to $18 (up from $17).

Looking for a quick and easy way to see a bunch of characters during Halloween Time at Disneyland? Don’t miss the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade! This short but sweet procession features Disney heroes, villains, and Mickey and his pals, all dressed up in their Halloween best. It’s a fun and festive way to experience the magic of the season.

The Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade is a delightful procession featuring a small Halloween float with Mickey and his pals, as well as Main Street vehicles filled with an array of Disney characters and villains.

Enjoy the show from anywhere along the Disneyland parade route. Arriving 15 minutes before the start is usually sufficient, as there are often plenty of viewing spots available.

The Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade typically takes place at 1:45 PM and 2:45 PM. However, it’s always best to check the Disneyland app for the most up-to-date showtimes, as they may vary.

Guests Once Again Ride in the front of the Disneyland Monorail

The front seats of the Disneyland Monorail are back! For the first time since before the pandemic, guests can ride in the nose cone of this iconic attraction.

Enjoy stunning views of the park and experience the thrill of riding alongside the Monorail pilot

We recently took the opportunity to ride in the front of the monorail. Not many guests seemed to know it was available so we got on fairly quickly. All you have to do is ask the cast member to sit in the front. If someone is ahead of you, you’ll have to wait until the next monorail comes.

The front of the monorail looks large enough to seat 7-8 guests along with the pilot. It’s also the only spot in the monorail that is air conditioned so it’s a great spot to sit during the hotter months. On top of that, you get great views of the Disneyland Resort!
