New Information for the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection

Earlier this year Disney announced the continuation of the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, focused on five iconic Disney Princess characters and their leading men: Tiana and Naveen; Pocahontas and John Smith; Cinderella and Prince Charming; Mulan and Li Shang; and Aurora and Prince Philip.

In addition to the five Limited Edition Doll Sets, the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection will feature apparel, accessories and home items, available online and in select stores across North America on September 2 – beautifully crafted pieces to complement your “happily ever after” style!

ur North American guests, an online-exclusive set including ALL five couples will be available for pre-order through disneystore.com/fairytalecollection on Tuesday, September 2, for $649.75. This will be the ONLY opportunity to guarantee a purchase of all five couples. The entire set will be delivered the week of October 21. This option will not be available across Europe.

Brought to life with careful attention, each Limited Edition Doll Set features exquisite detailing, including embroidered bodices, rhinestone accents, golden buttons and satin gowns with ornate prints. Each set is presented in a special keepsake display case with intricate details on the base, including a golden plate with the name of the specific Disney Princess and her partner. Each doll measures 11.5”.

Limited to a global edition of 6,000 each, the Doll Sets retail for $129.95 US/$139.95 CAN and £100.00/€120.00/1250.00DKK/1500.00SEK, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

New Pictures from Disney short “Feast”

Disney shares two new pictures from its upcoming new short, ‘FEAST” premiering this fall with Big Hero 6 will make you fall in love with Winston. The media event for BIG HERO 6 gave me the opportunity to preview the short, which was cute and made me an instant fan of “FEAST”. Based on the story of a Boston Terrier named WINSTON, who loves to eat. Alongside his owner, WINSTON shares their meals and life as seen through his eyes. WINSTON is an excitable little dog that will win the hearts of the viewers. Directed by Patrick Osborne, don’t miss FEAST and BIG HERO 6 in theatres, November 7, 2014.

Limited Edition Mickey Halloween MagicBands on sale now!

From September 1st to October 31st, while supplies last, these limited edition 5000 MagicBands selling for $29.05 each, are available at the Frontierland Trading Post and the Emporium at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Disney May Have More to Worry About with Disability Discrimination Lawsuit

If you required any kind of assistance at Disney then you may know that the card pictured above was the old Guest Assistance Card, which was used before they switched to the new DAS system. I personally think the old system was way better. I know they had to stop the fraud but why does that always have to penalize the majority of people who are honest?

There has been a lawsuit filed a while ago, well they want to add 69 more plaintiffs to the lawsuit. This would include 36 disabled plaintiffs and 33 plaintiffs that are family members. The lawsuit was filed in April claims that Disney World and Disneyland discriminated against guests with Autism and violated the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The new program works completely different then the old system. It gives guests with disabilities a return time for attractions based on the attractions’ wait times at that moment. After they experience that attraction they can go to another one etc. The DAS system can be used in addition to Fastpass+.

The new program does not give anyone almost immediate access to an attraction like the old system. The new system makes the guest wait, and there lies the problem. That forces guests with Autism to stand in a line longer then they can handle and this causes a meltdown.

The case will be before a judge in October, but only to see if they will allow the addition of more plaintiffs to the lawsuit.

Disney’s Night of Joy marks 32 years of the best Christian Contemporary Music with Jubilant fun at Magic Kingdom Park. You’ll find something for fans of any genre at this musical event September 5-6.

Before we go in to why you should join the Disneyana Fan Club – let’s talk a little bit about this “secret” club that’s not so “secret” any more! The Disneyana Fan Club is THE club for Disney enthusiasts. It is made up of members from all over the world. (I want to say a quick g’day to my fellow members “down under” in Australia!) This non-profit organization is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich legacy of Walt Disney. The goal is to provide Disneyana enthusiasts of all ages from around the world with news, information, and events that enhance your experience with, and love of, all things Disney. So why haven’t you joined? Here are 7 reasons why you might want to consider it!

1) It’s a classic organization that won’t go out of style!

This is not a fad or a trend that will fade. The Disneyana Fan Club was founded 30 years ago – way back in 1984. You can be a part of this club that is truly dedicated to honoring and celebrating the people, places and things that Walt Disney and his various companies have produced – for well over 100 years now.

2) You NEED to come celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mary Poppins – and party with us at Disney World!

How awesome does this event sound? The Villain’s Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle. Starting on Monday you can make reservations for this amazing new event at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

The cost is $99 for ages 3 and up plus tax and gratuity is included. It is not included in your admission to the Magic Kingdom. It is a hard ticket event, meaning you do have to pay for this on top of the cost to get into Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party. You can not make online reservations, you do have to call 407-939-5262

You will get preferred viewing for Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade and the HalloWishes Fireworks. Then you will go over to Cinderella’s Royal Table for some yummy desserts and wicked entertainment to help the villains celebrate their favorite holiday.

Lady Tremaine will take control over Cinderella’s Royal Table after all the everyone is asleep. So of course she had to invite some of her devilish friends. Who knows you might see, my personal favorite Maleficent or the Evil queen along with some other villains, should they decide to make an appearance.

Lady Tremaine will welcome you, and her personal piano player will provide live music. She may perform a song while you enjoy your yummy desserts.

Here is a breakdown of what your ticket includes:

Preferred Viewing for the 8:15 p.m. Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade. Make sure you arrive early so you don’t miss the Headless Horseman ride!

Preferred Viewing for HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular. The most amazing fireworks!

Dessert Soiree at Cinderella’s Royal Table. You will get an autograph card and souvenir Maleficent dragon cup.

Elsa and Anna’s Boutique is coming to Downtown Disney California! On August 25th, Studio 365 closed and will re-open in mid-September as the Elsa and Anna Boutique. The new Boutique will offer new transformations including of course, looks inspired by Anna, Elsa and my favorite, Olaf.

Studio Disney 365, located in Downtown Disney has been a family favorite where my grand daughters have enjoyed many make-overs through the years. With packages ranging from $19.95 to $79.95, little ones could enjoy everything from beautiful hair make overs and special Disney make up as well as their own make up case and digital image of their new look. New Make Over for Disneyland Resort’s Mobile Site

So you have heard of MagicBands, but what about a magic phone? Disneyland Resort guests have been chomping at the bit to get some of the MyMagic+ features and now they may have just received the next best thing. Disneyland has just unveiled an all new mobile experience that gives guests access to all sorts of awesome new features. It may not come with a MagicBand, but you can use your eTicket to get into the park right from your phone and you will no longer need a paper ticket to get into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure.

There is no app for the new mobile site yet, but you can access the features right from your phones internet browser to plan almost every aspect of your trip. The new site allows you to make dining reservations, book a hotel room, and purchase tickets right from your mobile device. It also allows you to set up transportation and even pre pay for parking.

The site also lets you explore park hours and event schedules and you can even schedule other area attractions. With these new features at your fingertips planning a Disneyland Resort trip has never been easier. It will certainly save you a ton of time as you bypass the ticket line and make it through the turnstiles with nothing more than a scan of the eTicket you purchased as you were walking from the parking lot.
