Disneyland 70th Anniversary Kickoff: Magic Key Reservations Full
Disneyland Magic Key holders who didn’t secure reservations quickly for the 70th anniversary celebration kickoff will miss the park opening festivities. All Magic Key reservations for Disneyland on May 16th, the official start of the year-long celebration, are now fully booked.
Disneyland’s Inspire, Believe, and Enchant Key reservations for May 16th are completely booked, according to the Disneyland website. Reservations for Magic Key holders open on a rolling 90-day basis. While Disneyland reservations are full, Inspire, Believe, and Enchant Key holders can still make reservations for Disney California Adventure on May 16th. Imagine Key holders are blocked out of both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on that date.
While Magic Key reservations for Disneyland on May 16th are currently full, additional spots could open up if passholders cancel or if Disneyland releases more availability. Daily tickets and reservations for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure remain available for purchase on May 16th.
Magic Key holders may not need to rush to Disneyland before nightfall on May 16th to experience the 70th anniversary entertainment, as the sole new offering on the first day will be at Disney California Adventure.
The 70th anniversary celebration kicks off that day with the return of the “Paint the Night” parade and the “Wondrous Journeys” fireworks show in Disneyland. Disney California Adventure will also join the festivities with the return of the Pixar-themed “Better Together” parade and the debut of the new “World of Color – Happiness” water show.
While Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration officially begins on May 16th, most of the new additions won’t debut until the park’s actual anniversary on July 17th.
The “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” show in the Main Street Opera House, featuring a new Audio-Animatronic figure of Walt Disney, has been delayed until July 17th to allow Imagineers more time to perfect the figure. This two-month delay means the show won’t be part of the May 16th kickoff.
When it does open on July 17th, it will be accompanied by four new exhibits in the Opera House. July 17th will also see the debut of new lyrics in the “It’s a Small World” attraction and the screening of the “Last Verse” short film in the Main Street Cinema.

While no official announcement has been made, this filing suggests Level99 is preparing to establish a presence in Florida, and Disney Springs seems like the perfect fit.
Designed for those who love high-energy, social gameplay, Level99 is an open-world challenge venue featuring over 50 interactive rooms. Each space offers a unique mix of physical and mental challenges, ranging from intense obstacle courses to mind-bending puzzles. Guests can team up with friends, compete for achievements, and climb the leaderboards, making every visit a new adventure.
Beyond the adrenaline-pumping action, Level99 also offers a full-service restaurant and bar, allowing guests to refuel between challenges. The combination of gaming and dining creates an experience that’s as much about social connection as it is about skill and strategy.
A Natural Fit for Disney Springs
If Level99 does come to Disney Springs, the most likely home for this interactive gaming experience is the former NBA Experience building.
