SeaWorld Orlando summer camps begin Monday, June 8. By offering fun, high-quality educational experiences and amazing summer explorations, SeaWorld artfully combines education and entertainment to connect campers of all ages to the natural world and oceans we share.
SeaWorld Camps in Orlando:
Day Camps: During their particular week at SeaWorld Camp, participants learn about a variety of animals, including whales, dolphins, penguins and sea lions. Campers will focus on a different animal each day and learn about them through songs, take-home arts and crafts, as well as by talking with the zoological staff. Day Camps are offered for children going into preschool through 8th grade. Lunch, snacks, a camp T-shirt and water bottle are included.
Resident Camps: Make it a summer to remember for students going into 7-12th grade with a Career Camp. Campers experience what it takes to train and work with marine animals and have the opportunity to touch a penguin, snorkel in a shark cage, work with the animal care staff and create an enriching environment for the animals at SeaWorld. Plus, participants have the opportunity to spend a day at Discovery Cove swimming with dolphins, snorkeling with tropical fish and rays, and feeding exotic birds in a free-flight aviary. Resident Camp fees include all camp activities, lodging on-site at SeaWorld and at SeaWorld’s partner hotel for five nights, plus all meals and snacks. Supervision and guidance is provided 24 hours a day for the entire duration. Many campers fly in from around the country – these campers are picked up at the Orlando International Airport by the dedicated camp staff and brought to SeaWorld to start their camp experience.
Each program takes participants behind-the-scenes to get closer than ever to the natural world we share. Kids will come home with a lasting impression of wildlife and a long list of favorites from SeaWorld Camp.
For nearly 25 years, SeaWorld has provided safe, fun and educational camp experiences for kids of all ages in the not-so-traditional setting of a world-class theme park. In the last 10 years, more than 250,000 youth have attended a SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Camp.
If you are going back and forth with trying to decide if you want to do a Disney Cruise or spend your time in the parks, I have a great idea for you….why not do BOTH?!?! Sailing on the award-winning Disney Cruise Line to a tropical destination before or after a stay at Walt Disney World Resort makes for the ultimate family vacation. There are so many reasons why I love adding a cruise on to a Disney Parks vacation and here are my top 5. . .
Experience the thrills and frills of Disney in a hassle-free vacation. You’ll quickly discover the convenience of cruising, especially as you only unpack once during your journey to multiple exotic destinations. What’s more, you’ll stay in world-class accommodations, eat food prepared by first-rate chefs and be entertained morning until night like only Disney can do. You will absolutely feel like Disney royalty as soon as you set foot onboard. And best of all….someone else does the driving!
It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. One day you can zip line from tree top to tree top on a Port Adventure in the rainforest, and the next day you can stay put in a hammock on Castaway Cay. There’s no shortage of fun onboard or in port, but with so many options to recharge, you won’t need a vacation from your vacation when you return home. They Disney Cruise Line offers something for everyone in the family. You won’t know what to do first!
A 3- or 4-night cruise is a great way to introduce cruising to first-timers. For those of you who are new to cruising, the shorter sailings allow you to see if cruising is the right fit for your family. And since most onboard activities, entertainment and dining options are included in the price of your cruise, you’ll know just what to budget. Disney makes cruising easy peasy and there is magic everywhere you turn. I bet once you cruise once, you will likely be hooked!
Experience unique Disney magic you can’t find anywhere else. From regal gatherings with princesses to dance parties with Mickey and the gang on Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, a Disney cruise gives you the chance to interact with characters in a whole new way. And speaking of Castaway Cay, most of the cruises leaving from Florida make a stop at this tropical paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. So get ready to have some fun with other Disney loving pals you meet along the way!
Location is key. With two Disney Cruise Line homeports in Florida, it’s never been easier to make both a cruise and resort stay part of your Disney vacation. Port Canaveral and Miami are within driving distance of Walt Disney World, making it convenient to stay at one of the resorts and enjoy all four theme parks before or after visiting tropical destinations on a cruise to the Bahamas or Caribbean.
If land and sea appeal to you, then I would love to help you plan the ultimate Disney vacation! Email me at [email protected] to chat and be sure to follow me on Facebook to keep up with the latest Disney news, updates and promotions. Hope to see you onboard soon!
Star Wars: Battle Pod, an arcade game that takes place in iconic Star Wars spacecraft, is in arcades now. The first-person pilot game lets you fly an X-Wing down the Death Star’s trench, speederbikes on the forest moon of Endor, and much more using a “unique dome screen enveloping your entire area of sight.” The Star Wars Battle Pod, which hit the U.S. market in January, comes with a panoramic dome screen, 5.1 channel surround sound and a vibrating seat for realism. It immerses you in the gaming experience like never before, so wouldn’t be awesome if you could experience it right from the comfort of your own home? Well now you can!
It’s the first Star Wars arcade game in years and apparently that wasn’t enough because it is now coming to a living room near you. Bandai Namco will be making the Battle Pods available for purchase to the public, but the force won’t be enough to control this bad boy from home. The game machine will set you back a few dollars if you want it in your house. The standard cabinet is $35,000, while the premium version is $100,000. Shipping is not included, and orders start next month.
The premium Star Wars Battle Pod is different from the ones in arcades, but what is the difference and why is it so expensive?
For one it’s the designs, a Rebel pilot’s helmet and Darth Vader themes are unique to the premium versions. The pod’s movable seats are covered with real leather, the cabinet has exclusive carpeting, and the machine comes with a specially bound owner’s manual. Each cabinet is numbered and emblazoned with the owner’s name on a plaque. And in the game, the owner’s name appears in the credit scroll. And so, a hundred grand price tag.
The newest Star Wars arcade game from Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. will be offered to individual customers beginning in June. Who wants one?
“The Good Dinosaur” asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Disney Consumer Products introduces the world to Playmation – the next step in the evolution of play. Where digital gets physical and imagination becomes real. The groundbreaking system of toys and wearables uses smart technology to inspire kids to run around and use their imaginations, as they become the hero or heroine of stories from across The Walt Disney Company. Sounds amazing!
“Innovation and creativity are the driving forces behind Disney, and our goal is to inspire children to unleash the power of their imaginations through the stories we tell and the experiences we create. With Playmation, we’re taking the next step in that tradition – bringing the worlds of play, storytelling, and technology together – in a new and very exciting way,” said Leslie Ferraro, president of Disney Consumer Products.
She continued: “Playmation takes the best the digital world has to offer and uses it to create supercharged, real world play. This is play updated for today’s kids – bringing their imaginations to life as they go on active adventures alongside their favorite characters.”
Dreamed up by a team of technologists, Imagineers and storytellers from across The Walt Disney Company, Playmation is the culmination of extensive research into the world of play. A new third party study commissioned by Disney1 reveals that parents feel nostalgia for the way they used to play growing up and that they also have a desire to keep their kids active. The study also found that children enjoy being active—yet at the same time, they have a growing appetite for technology-infused products.
The online study of 2,000 families across the country shows that while almost all parents believe in the power of active and creative play, they believe technology is also an important part of growing up today. In fact, 9 out of 10 parents are open to new technology that could play a role in keeping their child active.
“The study highlights a major opportunity to meet the needs of both parents and kids with a new way to play,” said Kareem Daniel, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. “Playmation uses technology to make active, physical play even more fun. It puts kids at the center of our stories in a way we’ve never been able to before.”
Playmation also marks a new chapter in Disney Consumer Products’ long-term partnership with Hasbro. DCP and Hasbro collaborated on physical product design and manufacturing of Playmation. Hasbro’s record of innovation and consumer insights make them the perfect partner to ensure that Playmation is a truly ground-breaking play experience.
“This is classic play for the millennial generation,” said Jim Silver, editor in chief and CEO of TTPM. “Playmation takes the role play category to a new level of engagement with their breakthrough interactive play. It is the entry point into a new category of toys that bring digital experiences into the real world. With Playmation, Disney Consumer Products is going to raise the bar in the world of play.”
Playmation Marvel’s Avengers is the first in a series of systems in development around Walt Disney Company franchises, and will hit shelves this October. At launch, the Playmation Marvel’s Avengers Starter Pack will include five connected toys: one piece of Avenger Gear (Repulsor), two Power Activators and two Smart Figures – a Super Hero (Captain America) and a Super Villain (Iron Skull). Getting started is easy, strap the high-tech Repulsor Gear onto your arm (it fits adults, too!) and listen closely to JARVIS as he takes you through the tutorial on how to control your new Gear, inspired by Iron Man technology. Other Playmation Marvel’s Avengers connected toys that work with the Starter Pack will also be available separately for purchase at launch, with more on the way.
Also available at launch, is the AvengersNet app where you can register your Avenger Gear to see progress, explore additional locations and characters, and get access to new missions. New recruits to the Avengers can fight Marvel Super Villains including Ultron, Iron Skull, Loki, or join fellow Avengers Super Heroes like Black Widow, Falcon and more as they battle to save the Earth by running, jumping, ducking and dodging – whatever each challenge requires.
“With Playmation Marvel’s Avengers, the very best of Marvel storytelling is infused into every aspect of the system to further spark imaginative, active play,” said Joe Quesada, Chief Creative Officer, Marvel. “Playmation offers kids a dynamic way to interact with their favorite Super Heroes – I wish it was around when I was a kid!”
Playmation Marvel’s Avengers uses familiar technologies including smart toys, wearables, wireless technology, motion sensors and more, but applies them in ways that are completely new to create an experience that’s never been possible before. The Repulsor Gear connects with the Power Activators and Smart Figures to take you on a variety of adventures through locations around the Marvel Universe, from the Avengers Lab in New York to the jungles of Wakanda. Playmation is purposely not tethered to an Internet connection so players can run around and explore each adventure from anywhere they want – a bedroom, living room or yard. With multiplayer modes, recruits can sync their Avenger Gear to tackle missions and combat arenas together, or face off in competitive play.
The Playmation Marvel’s Avengers Starter Pack will have a suggested retail price of $119.99 and will launch in October 2015 in the United States and Canada at mass and specialty retailers, select Disney Store locations and DisneyStore.com, and will be available for pre-order starting July 7.
Star Wars and Disney Frozen systems are currently in development for 2016 and 2017, respectively. Each will use a range of technologies to create a system based on the different ways that kids play and experience their favorite stories and characters from that franchise.
I don’t know about you Duck Tape is a staple at my house. When I was looking on Amazon I found Disney Duck Tape! I had no idea there were so many different designs, not to mention most rolls are under $6! Check out all the fun designs below.
1024574 new seasons marvel super heroes coming disney xd
Disney XD has ordered two new action-packed seasons of the popular animated series on the Marvel programming block – continuing the adventures of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution” and introducing a new band of villains in “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6.” Produced by Marvel Television, both series deliver the biggest, most explosive seasons yet with some of Marvel’s most aspirational super heroes facing off against some of the greatest threats in the Marvel Universe. Both of the new seasons are currently in production and slated to premiere in 2016 on Marvel on Disney XD.
In season three of “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution,” the Avengers are not only shocked by the return of a vengeful Ultron, but they also encounter new threats like Baron Zemo, the Masters of Evil, the Inhumans, and the futuristic Kang the Conqueror. It’s only with the help of heroes like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and Ms. Marvel that they have a chance of surviving an all-out Marvel super hero Civil War.
In season four of “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6,” a confident Spider-Man feels like the ultimate hero after fighting alongside The Avengers and leading a team of heroes at S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. However, when the wall-crawler discovers that his greatest enemies – Doctor Octopus, Hydra and the all-new Sinister 6 – are working together to destroy him and S.H.I.E.L.D., he teams up with a special new team of Spiders, including Miles Morales, Agent Venom, Iron Spider and the mysterious new Scarlet Spider. Spider-Man and his new friends will need to use all of their power to overcome their greatest challenge yet.
“We’re delighted that Disney XD is partnering with the world-class Marvel team to bring our viewers new installments featuring the Avengers and Spider-Man, some of the world’s most iconic and engaging comic book characters,” said Marc Buhaj, Senior Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD. “In these new animated seasons we are looking forward to even higher stakes, bigger threats and the trademark quality storytelling that Marvel is famous for.”
“These series have been the heart and soul of Marvel Animation for several seasons and, thanks to Marc and his top-notch crew at Disney XD, we’re thrilled to bring our fans more episodes of what they’ve been clamoring for,” said Stephen Wacker, Vice President, Current Series, Marvel Animation Studios. “It’s a testament to the hard work and creative effort of our production and writing teams that Marvel’s animation slate continues to roll onwards and upwards.”
The “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution” voice cast includes Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”) as Iron Man, Fred Tatasciore (“Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness”) as Hulk, Roger Craig Smith (“Wreck-It Ralph”) as Captain America, Travis Willingham (“Shelf Life”) as Thor, Troy Baker (“Ultimate Spider-Man”) as Hawkeye, Laura Bailey (“The Super Hero Squad Show”) as Black Widow and Bumper Robinson (“The Game”) as Falcon. Jeff Allen serves as Supervising Director and Eugene Son and Dani Wolff serve as Co-Story Editors on the series.
“Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6” stars Drake Bell (“Drake & Josh”) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Chi McBride (“Hawaii Five-0”) as Nick Fury, Steven Weber (“Wings”) as Norman Osborn, Greg Cipes (“Teen Titans,” “Ben 10”) as Danny Rand, Ogie Banks (“Fatherhood”) as Luke Cage, Misty Lee (“Batman: Arkham City”) as Aunt May, and recurring guest star Stan Lee (“Spider-Man”) as Stan the Janitor. Alex Soto serves as Supervising Director while Kevin Burke and Doc Wyatt serve as Co-Story Editors.
Alan Fine (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Iron Man,” “Thor”), Dan Buckley (“Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.”), Joe Quesada (“Marvel’s Daredevil”), and Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) will serve as executive producers on “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6” and “Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution,” while Stan Lee (“Spider-Man”), Eric Radomski (“Spawn”), Cort Lane (“The Super Hero Squad Show”) and Stephen Wacker (“Marvel’s Avengers Assemble”) will serve as co-executive producers for both series.
Summer is a very popular time to visit Walt Disney World, and if you’re one of the many planning to make the trek during the upcoming months, then you will want to remember this – summer in Orlando is HOT and WET. Not only are the temperatures high, but the humidity is stifling, and there is thunder and rain storms almost every afternoon (and sometimes all day too!). Also, the crowds can get super intense, which for some isn’t an issue, but others might not love it. For many of you, summer is the only time you can make the trip to WDW – so I recommend being prepared!
Beat The Heat: It will be hot. Like – really hot. And even if the temperature is not that high, the humidity will make the air feel hot and heavy. Luckily, there’s a few things you can do to help combat the heat – make sure you STAY HYDRATED – always have a full water bottle on hand (bringing a water bottle from home will save money, too!), wear light-colored, loose clothing (helps keep sweating to a minimum!), and make sure you take advantage of all the indoor rides and attractions that Disney has to offer – they offer a great break from the heat and sun! Read more on how to keep cool at the parks here
Stay Dry: Along with the heat and humidity, the summer brings plenty of rain to Orlando – it tends to rain most afternoons, so it’s best to take some precautions that will help you stay dry. I like to bring my own ponchos from home – they can be purchased at Target or most dollar stores, and they have come in handy on many occasions. You can buy ponchos/umbrellas at the Parks, but it’s definitely easier and cheaper to bring your own. Along with the ponchos, I like to bring various sized Ziploc baggies too – they help keep my phone/wallet/park maps/souvenirs dry and safe from the elements
Anticipate The Crowds: Considering the fact that most schools have off during the summer months, you can bet that the crowds will be considerable at WDW during these times. But don’t panic – a little planning can go a long way. Here’s some crowd-control tips: If you’re staying at a WDW Resort, make sure you’re utilizing the Extra Magic Hours option – I recommend using this time to visit the more popular rides. Make sure you are using the Fastpass+ system and planning to use those for more popular rides/attractions as well. Something that works well for many families is hit the parks for the morning and then head back to their resort for lunch/a nap/pool time in afternoon (when the crowds and heat tend to be the worst). If this doesn’t work for you, then you might want to head to some of those indoor attractions during hot afternoons. One last tip – make sure you have your smart phone and the Disney App handy – you can update fastpass info and view wait times for rides and make dining reservations – all of which can help your day run much more smoothly
Above all, try to remember to relax and have fun!It may be crowded and/or hot, but you’re still vacationing at the Happiest Place on Earth – so enjoy every minute of it!
