Shopping on Etsy I stumbled across these very cool Disney Storybook Journals from designer StorybookJournals. They are crafted from upcycled Little Golden Books and are truly one of a kind. Each book comes with a calendar, space for notes, and even a world map. Now lets talk designs. They have over 10 pages of journals to choose from. Here are some of the Disney designs that I like:

and many more. StorybookJournals even has a bunch of non Disney designs too. I really like all the Dr Seuss journals. Costs of these journals are $14. To learn more just click any of the links above.

Ways to Make the Most of Your Disneyland Annual Pass

DL annual pass

My family and I became Disneyland Annual Pass holders for the first time last December. We have loved it! But it’s sometimes difficult to remember that your annual pass gives you more than just park admission. Here’s some ways to get the most out of your Disneyland Annual Pass.

1. Discounts on food, merchandise and hotel stays!

Now, you won’t get a discount on EVERYTHING, but you’ll get some great savings using your annual pass on merchandise purchases and at most counter and table service dining experiences. Don’t hesitate to show your annual pass at the registers! Not every cast member will ask for it and some discounts will get overlooked. Also, keep in mind, your pass won’t get you a discount on alcoholic beverages purchased in Disney California Adventure.

Another great discount pass holders get is on hotel stays at the Disneyland Resort hotels. Log into your AP account to see what discounts are available for your next stay!

2. Discounts on Guided Tours

Disneyland Resort offers a number of guided tours at the parks and AP holders get a discount. I have always wanted to take the “Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps” tour and experience the park the way Walt did. Or you can see how the Golden State influenced Walt on the “Disney California Story” tour at Disney California Adventure.

3. Exclusive Merchandise

The main AP exclusive merchandise items are pins. Every few weeks a new AP-exclusive pin is released. Look for the “Limited” display with pins labeled “Annual Passholder” or ask a Cast Member for assistance. Sometimes Disney will release other AP-exclusive merchandise. A few years ago there were old fashioned glasses featuring characters available to passholders.

4. Early Registration for runDisney events

If you are a runner and are a Disneyland AP, make sure to take advantage of the early registration offered! There are so many runDisney events at Disneyland and they fill up fast. Early registration is limited but don’t be discouraged if you miss out! That just means you have 2 opportunities to register.

5. Free Movie Screenings

Recently Annual Passholders were given the opportunity to see an exclusive screening of Disney/Pixar’s “Inside Out” at AMC Downtown Disney. These events require registration due to their popularity and they fill up quickly! Be sure to check out the Disneyland Annual Passholders Facebook page for more event information.

6. Attraction & Show Previews

When a new attraction premiers at Disneyland, APs are often the first to experience it. For example, “The Little Mermaid” attraction was opened to Annual Passholders before it opened to the public. There are also show previews occasionally offered to Annual Passholders. Both “Glow with the Show” viewings of World of Color and Fantasmic! were offered to APs first. It would be amazing to get to experience an attraction before everyone else!

7. Limited Time Event Offerings

Disneyland often offers limited time events. Every Wednesday until July 22nd, Annual Passholders can go to the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A. for screenings of “Wednesdays with Walt”. You’ll enjoy highlights from the “Disneyland” TV series and look back on the history of Disney.

When deciding if purchasing an Annual Pass is right for you, remember you won’t just be buying park admission for a year. You get so much more that adds to your Disneyland experience. I’d love to help you plan your next magical Disney vacation!! Email me today for more information.

Enjoying some Disney World Resort Time

AofASebastian
AofASebastian

AofASebastian

Walt Disney World has 4 amazing Theme Parks, 2 Water parks, and an awesome entertainment and dining paradise (Downtown Disney) – and although that’s enough to keep anyone entertained for their whole vacation, Disney doesn’t stop there. They also operate a bunch of on-site Resorts that are not just places to sleep – but places to play, eat, relax, swim and best of all – they’re another place where you can enjoy your vacation!

We always make sure we spend some time at our Walt Disney World Resort – and here’s why you should too:

Pool Time: All WDW Resorts have multiple pools, and all are well maintained and staffed with lifeguards, and many offer kiddie pool areas too for the little ones. Personally I like the smaller pools – sure the main pool is where the bar is and the fountains/water slide etc – but it’s also where all the NOISE and people are. I like to relax at the pool, so I tend to seek out the smaller more quiet pools where I can read in a lounger and enjoy the water at my leisure. But of course if you have little ones, you might find yourselves at the bigger pool – but like I said, luckily there’s usually a bar nearby (which should help…)

Feeding Your Appetite: Dining at the Parks is great, but there are tons of Resort Dining options too! All Resorts have at least one quick service dining spot, and many have sit down restaurants as well. The quick service spots at WDW Resorts offer some of the best food I have had at Disney – from gelato and create your own salads to omelets and Mickey Waffles in the mornings – they really do serve up something for everyone. And the table service restaurants are great too – classy steakhouses, kid friendly buffets, character meals – they have it all, and it makes traveling from your Resort to another Resort (a not always easy task!) TOTALLY worth it

Exploring The Fun: A WDW Resort is not merely just a place to sleep – they have tons of stuff to do, too! Take a leisurely stroll around the Resort grounds and you’ll find fun playgrounds/play areas, seating areas, hidden Mickeys, gardens, fountains, character statues, souvenir/gift shops, and much more! Most Resorts also have a calendar of events – trivia, movie nights, pool games for the kids – so check with a cast member when you arrive at your Resort to get the low down on what activities they offer, and take advantage of as many as you can!

A Break From The Parks: Picture this – it’s lunch time at Disney World. It’s hot, the sun is relentlessly beating down on you, the lines for everything from burger spots to bottled water stands are insanely long, and your kids (and you!) are on the verge of a major meltdown. What do you do? GET OUTTA THERE – that’s what! Ditch the park and head back to your WDW Resort – where you can grab a bite (likely with a much shorter wait time!), take a swim, take a nap, and most of all – relax and re-energize so that you can head back to the Parks in the evening (when it’s cooler, less sunny, and generally less crowded!)

Of course, to experience all this awesome stuff – you would have to stay at a WDW Resort – and if you aren’t sure you want to do that, then I suggest you check out these reasons why staying on site is the best. Staying at a Disney Resort really immerses you in the Magic that is Disney – and it makes your vacation to the Happiest Place On Earth even happier!

The Star Wars Saga to be Enshrined in LIMITED EDITION BLU-RAY STEELBOOKS

SW Steelbooks GlamourSkew C1 1024x593

Star Wars Steelbooks

Disney is releasing the first six movies in the Star Wars saga again in a limited edition Blu-ray and these are the DVD’s you are looking for. The Force is strong with this release, but so is the Dark Side as most of the covers are heavily weighted towards the Empire. Regardless, the cover artwork on these is simply stunning and the only thing that could make the steelbook packaging any more awesome is if it were made out of Carbonite.

The first six will be released as commemorative Blu-ray steelbooks for a limited time on November 10. Pre-orders beginning on August 7, giving fans something else to look forward to as they count down the days until the long-awaited seventh episode of the Star Wars saga. Each film comes with beautiful new character packaging that include Darth Maul for The Phantom Menace, Yoda for Attack of the Clones, General Grievous for Revenge of the Sith, Darth Vader for A New Hope, an Imperial stormtrooper for The Empire Strikes Back, and Emperor Palpatine for Return of the Jedi. Star Wars: The Complete Saga will also be released in newly-repackaged artwork on October 13.

In addition to the collectible steelbook packaging, each disc features “existing audio commentary with George Lucas and the film crew as well as audio commentary from archival interviews with the cast and crew.” In addition to the six films, the set includes “three additional discs containing more than 40 hours of previously-released extensive special features.”

Is the Elusive Purple Magic Band Coming Soon?

2015 08 08 10 38 47 Settings

Hiya boys and girls! How are all my fellow addicts today? Doing great I hope! I am about to make your day even better! I am so excited that I can hardly contain my enthusiasm about the hope that a purple MagicBand might soon be available to us. OMG finally! Purple is the most requested and asked about color. So it makes sense. If this band is released I am hoping it will not be one we have to purchase.

I have been saying forever they need to come out with more colors, especially since I have all the colors and am now collecting duplicates and beyond of each color. I also hear that a beautiful teal color band might soon be out as well. That being said I must give credit where credit is due. I got this gossip from the super cool site magicbandcollectors.com. His site has some great info for us MagicBand collectors/enthusiasts. He gets some great inside info, just like myself, and also like myself is hardly ever wrong.

One thing about this band that stands out is the outer part is black and not dark gray like all the others. But will it stay that way when it gets released? Who know we will have to wait and see. The black makes the color stand out even more. I am all for different color combos as well.

I would love to see some neon colors and maybe an all pink or an all orange. The possibilities are endless. What say you?

An Amazing Tribute to Cecil the Lion from A Lion King Animator

Everyone is talking about the senseless killing of a beautiful creature, known as Cecil the lion. A Lion King animator created this amazing work of art to honor his life.

“I am a HUGE animal lover an it drives me crazy when I see these beautiful creatures destroyed for no good reason,” Blaise writes on his blog. “When I heard the news about Cecil I got inspired to create a tribute image. It’s not much but hopefully it will make people think.”

Check this out:
