Top Five Least Crowded Times to Visit Disney World

wdw least crowded
wdw least crowded

wdw least crowded

There is absolutely no such thing as a bad time to visit Disney World! There are, however, some times of the year that are better than others to visit for varying reasons. If you’re like me and you like to avoid large crowds and long wait times then this article is just for you! Here are the top five least crowded times of the year to visit Disney World.

  • Beginning of May – At this point schools are still in sessions and many families may not want to pull their kids out of school so close to the end of the year. This means minimal crowds! This is an especially great time for those that don’t have kids, no need to worry about school. The longer daylight hours at this point in the year are also a bonus meaning more park time!
  • September – Early November – Not only are the crowds low at this point in the year the temperatures are also perfect – not too hot and not too cool. Kids are in school, and a lot of parents don’t want to take their kids out for vacation, and now-a-days schools don’t want parents to take their kids out either. So if you don’t mind taking your kids out of school, or your kids aren’t in school yet, or you don’t have kids then this is a great time of year to visit. Low crowds, perfect weather, and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party through October, Christmas decorations in November, and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival spanning parts of all three months – what could be better!
  • Early December – Disney World is incredibly busy over Thanksgiving and during the winter holidays at the end of December, but early December gives you the same atmosphere in the parks with much smaller crowds.
  • End of August – Many kids go back to school in the last week of August, so this is a great time to visit to avoid large crowds. After all, no one wants their kids to miss the beginning of a new school year. So, if you have younger kids that aren’t in school yet or don’t have kids this is a great time to visit! Be aware, though, that is will still be quite hot out.
  • January – February – This is my favorite time of the year to visit. At the beginning of January there are moderate crowds due to the Disney World Marathon weekend, but these crowds are nothing compared to those that had been there a week earlier for the winter holidays. Early January also offers guest the opportunity to catch the end of the Christmas decorations without having to deal with the crowds of the price. That’s right, not only are these two months less crowded they are also part of value season! If you want small crowds, avoid marathon weekend, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, and President’s Day. Even with these few days bringing in slightly larger crowds these two months are the perfect time to visit.

When is your favorite time to visit Disney World? Do you like the low crowd times or do you love the big crowds of the summer and holidays? Let us know in the comments!

My name is Miriya Whitaker, I am a travel agent with World of Magic Travel, a writer for Chip and Co and Disney Addicts, and I love to visit Disney World during the times of the year that bring low crowds! Relax with a Disney ‘Land and Sea’ Vacation

As we all know, a trip to Walt Disney World can be exhausting by the end.  There is so much to see and do, that we pack every minute of our day with fun and excitement!  Who can blame us?!?! The perfect way to extend the magic of your trip and continue with the fun-filled adventures is to add a Disney Cruise to the end of your trip.

While the kids will continue to have an endless amount of energy (that I wish I could just have 1/8th of!), it gives us grown-ups the perfect chance to recharge before heading back to reality.  So for all the adults reading, here are some great ways to relax, but continue the fun, aboard the Disney Cruise Line:

  • One of my favorite things to do on any vacation is to seek out the nearest spa.  Senses Spa & Salon, aboard the Disney Cruise Line, provides an opportunity to unwind and refresh in an oceanview sanctuary.  Here you can enjoy a much needed massage, facial, pedicure and more.  Spa services are also available on the beach at Castaway Cay.
  • You can also seek out the Quiet Cove Pool and take advantage of this tranquil, adult-exclusive getaway.  The pool and whirlpool spa are the perfect place to relax, soak up the sun and sip a specialty cocktail.
  • I also love a good meal- you know, one where I don’t have to cut up my kids food and can eat at my own pace!  The Disney Cruise Line offers two adult-only dining locations, sure to please.  Palo features Northern Italian cuisine while Remy allows you to indulge in a French-inspired menu.
  • Nighttime entertainment is another great way to kick back and have a little grown-up fun.  The Disney Cruise Line ships offer a variety of lounges to enjoy live music, dance and relax with your favorite specialty drink.  There are also a variety of themes to suit everyone’s preference.

If all of this sounds like the perfect way for you to recharge after your fun-filled Walt Disney World adventure, then email me at [email protected].  The Disney Cruise Line has released itineraries through early 2017 and it really is the perfect way to ease back into the real world.  Looking forward to helping  you set sail in the months ahead!

Top 6 reasons we love the Magic Kingdom

MK

Magic Kingdom is the amazing theme park where you can soar into the sky with Peter Pan, swish down a 52 foot water fall with Br’er Rabbit or help capture Stitch!  It is definitely one of my favorite places in the world to go, cause once you enter the park you are brought right back to childhood! There is so much that makes this park the perfect vacation destination narrowing it down to 6 reasons was difficult but here is my top 6 reasons I love Walt Disney World!

  • The Classic Rides – It’s a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean and the list goes on there are many of the original classics right here in Magic Kingdom. I try to ride them all every visit!
  • The Nightly showCelebrate the magic the nightly show where the castle changes colors, with fire works and Tinkerbell flying through the sky! A truly amazing way to end a fun day at the park!
  • The Character Meet & Greets – What is better than seeing Mickey? meeting him, getting an autograph and taking some pictures! It is so much fun for children of all ages to meet their favorite characters and get some pictures and autographs!
  • The Rope drop – at least once in a lifetime you need to get up slightly earlier than you normally would on a vacation, get on the bus and head over to Magic Kingdom at least 45 minutes before the park opens. The rope drop show is a cute, fun little show that is done daily to welcome guests and open the park!
  • The Mountains – Splash, Space, Big Thunder or Mine Train the mountains are super fun thrill rides at Magic Kingdom. I could ride them over and over and still not get tired of riding.
  • The Atmosphere – Nowhere else on the planet will you receive the magic that happens once you walk through the gates here. It is always clean, amazing smells, happy people, safety and happy sights everywhere you look. The atmosphere is what makes Disney truly the happiest place on earth!

Is there something I missed that makes you love the Magic Kingdom?
