Watch How “Frozen, a Musical Spectacular” is Adapted to the Stage Aboard the Disney Wonder

Frozen musical

The Disney Wonder will debut new enhancements this fall including a brand-new stage show in the Walt Disney Theatre called “Frozen, a Musical Spectacular.” Disney Cruise Line will combine the latest technology with old fashioned story telling in order to bring the musical based on the number one animated feature film of all time, “Frozen,” to life.

Hear from the team of distinguished creative talent with Broadway credits and theatrical accolades, about the making of “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.” Take a look…

The 977-seat Walt Disney Theatre aboard the Disney Wonder provides the perfect setting to immerse audiences in the kingdom of Arendelle and showcase the film’s renowned score. Songs like “For the First Time in Forever” and “Love is an Open Door” will be expanded into ensemble pieces, and the film’s wintry wizardry will be realized in lavish production numbers of “In Summer” and “Fixer Upper.”

The production features the popular music and lyrics by the creators of the “Frozen” film score, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and is adapted from the screenplay by four-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (“Gotta Dance,” “Aladdin,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Elf”).

DSparking 3

Disney Transportation will offer direct bus service from all Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs beginning on August 28, 2016. According to WDWmagic, the new route is one-way only, which means guests will need to return to a Walt Disney World Resort hotel before heading to the theme parks. Direct service from the parks to Disney Springs will run daily from 4p.m. to 11p.m or up until two hours after the parks close, whichever is earlier.

A new bus loop and bus terminal at Disney Springs recently opened, which allows guests to be dropped off directly in front of the main entrance to Town Center. Epcot’s Best Kept Secret – The World Showcase Wine Walk

Wine

Wine

One of Epcot’s best kept secrets is the World Showcase Wine Walk. For just $25 you can enjoy this year around tour in Epcot without having to wait for a special event like the Food & Wine or Flower & Garden Festival.

To get started all you need to do is purchase a Wine Walk Passport from any of the Wine Kiosks in the German, Italian or French Pavilions. The Wine Walk Passport comes with a map, list of available wines, and a suggested food pairing for each wine.

The Epcot Wine Walk includes six pre-selected wines, one red and one white in each country but unfortunately there are no substitutions.

You can choose between one of each wine (red/white) or you can select the same wine twice. Your Wine Walk does not expire so you can do your Wine Walk all in one day or space it out over a few days, just make sure you keep your receipt and your Wine Walk Passport, as you receive stamps on each stop.

The wines are delicious and certainly a value. Think of the Wine Walk as an adult version of the Kidcot Fun Station but with alcohol! This is a great activity to do after having a meal in Epcot while you are walking around the World Showcase.

Have you tried this in Epcot? Tell us what you think in the comment box below.

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise Now Available

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise

It looks like Halloween merchandise has been in full swing at the Disney Parks this week. Yesterday we saw the reveal of some fright-tastic new Nightmare Before Christmas apparel and pins. Today the Disney Parks Blog gave a peek at the spooktacular purple, orange and green Disney Parks Halloween merchandise.

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise 2

This year’s Halloween collection features new looks created by Disney Design Group artists. The artists created a large style guide for the merchandising team to use. The new products have a new stylized feel, but haven’t lost the whimsical touch we’ve come to know and love. There are a few returning favorites like the light up Mickey trick or treat bucket, and pumpkin Mickey candle holder. A new item that has really caught my eye is the Pumpkin Mickey Lumiery. It has the well known pumpkin Mickey face and sworly ears, but with a geometric feel.

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise 1

Part of this year’s style guide included the character posters pictures above. These ghoulish posters are inspired by the horror moves of the 50s. The posters display characters dressed in costumes themed for lands found at the Disney Parks. The Terror in Tomorrowland with Donald, quacks me up! These designs and posters were used on some of the items available this Halloween.

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise 4

It looks like there’s some faBOOlously comfy attire available to keep us cozy on a chilly autumn evening. Lots of bright socks, hoodies and hats fill with orange, purple, black and green whimsy! I’m totally eyeing the Black Pumpkin Mickey hoodie and matching socks!

Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise 3

Frightful t-shirts are also available, with character features inspired by the horror movie throw back designs. There is Hallween apparel for all ages available! Other items that will be available this year are Mickey ghost and pumpkin necklaces, car antenna topper, pins, candy and plushes!

Get ready guys and ghouls because with all the ghostly Disney Parks Halloween Merchandise this is going to be a Happy Haunted Halloween!

Trick or Treat with a Light Up Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Bucket

Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Bucket

Can you believe it’s almost Boo to You time at the Disney Parks? Soon Halloween and Autumn decorations will be filling the parks, as well as spooky surprises and appearances. One of my favorite Disney Halloween items is the Mickey Mouse Pumpkin BucketTrick or Treat with a Light Up Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Bucket that lights up!

As the time for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party draws closer, I start gathering my Disney Halloween goodies to decorate with. For me it’s tradition to decorate for Halloween on the first day of MNSSHP, even though I won’t be there. If I do happen to be there, I usually stock up on lots of spooky finds to decorate with when I get home. The Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Bucket will give you the happiest candy haul ever. Even though you get a treat bag at MNSSHP, carrying this glowing Mickey Jack O’Lantern gives even more glowing fun. The frosted features of Mickey’s pumpkin face light-up in rotating red, green and yellow tones. If you don’t already have your own, these haunting pumpkin buckets also have free shipping on Amazon!

Do you have any Disney Halloween traditions?  Which ones are your favorite? I’m always torn between going full Haunted Mansion glamor, or cute and spooky Halloween Mickey!
