The video highlights the crucial work of the SeaWorld Rescue Team, showcasing their efforts in rescuing and rehabilitating marine animals. Disney Magic in Disguise: Italy Pavilion’s Bell Tower Gets a Stylish Scrim Makeover at EPCOT!

If you’ve strolled through EPCOT’s World Showcase lately, you may have noticed something a little different about the Italy pavilion—look up, and you’ll spot a new twist on construction magic! As refurbishment continues on the pavilion’s iconic bell tower, Disney has added a clever and visually stunning camouflage scrim that keeps the view picture-perfect.

The bell tower, a gorgeous re-creation of the famous St. Mark’s Campanile in Venice, Italy, is currently getting a little TLC. But instead of leaving guests staring at plain construction wrap, Disney has wrapped three sides of the tower with printed scrim featuring a detailed image of the bell tower itself. It’s like the tower put on a disguise of… itself!

From most angles, it’s almost as if the tower is untouched—thanks to this whimsical work of camouflage that keeps the immersive beauty of the Italy pavilion intact. The only side of the tower that remains uncovered is the one facing La Gemma Elegante, the charming boutique where guests can shop for fine Italian art, housewares, and elegant souvenirs.

New Manatee Named Mermaid Arrives for Critical Care in EPCOT at the Seas Pavilion

Meet Mermaid: A New Manatee Makes a Splash at EPCOT!

There’s a new face swimming into The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT—and her name is Mermaid! Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment, shared the exciting news on Instagram, introducing guests to the newest manatee to join the rehabilitation efforts at Walt Disney World.

Weighing in at approximately 525 pounds, Mermaid was rescued from the Homosassa River, just north of Tampa, back in February after she required critical care. Now, thanks to Disney’s ongoing collaboration with the Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP), she’s found a safe and supportive home at The Seas, where she’ll receive expert care from Disney’s skilled animal care team.

Mermaid’s stay at EPCOT is just one part of her journey—her time here is focused on helping her regain strength and put on healthy weight in preparation for her eventual return to the wild. Disney’s involvement in the MRP plays a vital role in the broader mission to support and protect Florida’s manatees, a species facing increasing threats in their natural habitat.

Groot Grooves Again at the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!

The 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is officially in full bloom—and this year, everyone’s favorite music-loving tree is back in action! After a silent start to the festival, the Groot topiary near the entrance to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has resumed its musical magic.

Originally debuting in 2024, the Groot topiary quickly became a fan favorite, complete with a spinning cassette tape labeled “Green-House Mix Vol. 1”—a clever nod to Awesome Mix Vol. 1 from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Last year, Groot played a retro hit every 20 minutes, and the cassette’s wheels would spin in time with the music.

For 2025, Groot has moved to a new location in the same garden near Cosmic Rewind, and while the cassette wheels remain motionless for now, the tunes are back—and better than ever. The playlist now plays every 15 minutes, letting guests enjoy more music while wandering through World Discovery. This year’s setlist includes returning favorites like “Come and Get Your Love,” “Escape (The Piña Colada Song),” “I Want You Back,” and “Mr. Blue Sky,” along with a new addition for 2025: “Disco Inferno.” Interestingly, “Disco Inferno” was listed on Groot’s playlist last year but never actually played—until now.

The Groot topiary is just one of many magical sights and sounds that make up the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, running March 5 to June 2, 2025. From whimsical gardens and butterfly landings to food kiosks and scavenger hunts, the festival is a vibrant celebration of spring that offers something for everyone.

Disneyland Paris Unveils Detailed Model of Upcoming Lion King Land

A comprehensive scale model of the highly anticipated Lion King land, set to debut at Disneyland Paris, was revealed during the company’s annual shareholders meeting on Thursday.

This new model, significantly larger and more detailed than the previously shown smaller-scale version at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, provides a clearer view of the land’s layout and its centerpiece water ride. The model offers an immersive look at the project, featuring a recreation of Pride Rock with a miniature Simba figure positioned atop, offering a sense of the mountain’s impressive scale.

The upcoming attraction will take guests on a journey through Simba’s life, from his days as a cub to his ascension as king, retelling the beloved animated film’s story.
