Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs is now offering a Dim Sum brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am to 3:00pm. The cost is $27.00 per person and includes an appetizer along with a choice of three dim sum items.

Front of Theme Park Delivery is no Longer Offered by Shop Disney Parks App

Authentic Walt Disney World merchandise is available for purchase via the Shop Disney Parks app. Unfortunately, items purchased via the app will no longer be delivered to the front of the theme parks for pick up.

Guests can still choose to have their items shipped to select Walt Disney World Resort hotels however as long as delivery is at least two days prior to check in and 36 hours before check out. Of course there is always the option to have your order shipped directly to your home as well.

Merchandise purchased at one of the physical Disney stores can still be delivered to the front of the park for pick up.

It has been stated by the Hollywood Reporter that Colin Firth is officially in negotiations to play a major role in Disney’s sequel to “Mary Poppins”, titled “Mary Poppins Returns”. Firth will be joined by Emily Blunt in the title role, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Meryl Streep.

The film is set for a Dec 25 2018 release.

Shiny New Disney Alex and Ani Holiday Collection

The Holidays are around the corner, and that means fabulous new Disney Holiday inspired merchandise. The newest Alex and Ani Collection to debut is of course a fabulous Holiday one.

The first Alex and Ani from the Holiday collection, is a sweet colored enamel bangle, with Mickey and Minnie sharing a hot cocoa in their festive Christmas attire. The world “love” hangs over their heads like a romantic twig of mistletoe.

Next we have Mickey wearing his joyful Santa hat, with a green enamel background. The word “Joy” sits in a whimsical font below him.

Olaf loves warm hugs, and this bangle captures that perfectly. This may have a winter theme, but I think this one is definetly doable as a year round bangle.

This is the perfect Minnie Mouse apron set for moms and their little ones! I bet the ruffled edge makes you feel like a Disney princess. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame at Hollywood Studios is Closing

While it was obvious for the last few weeks that there were walls up around the area where the Hall of Fame busts were located, Disney only just made the official announcement that the attraction is indeed disappearing.

In its place will be opening a Food & Beverage Marketplace, according to a Disney spokesperson.

Small victory for Reedy Creek firefighter union at Walt Disney World

Reedy Creek Fire & Rescue IAFF local 2117, which is the Walt Disney World’s firefighters have been working without a contract for almost 2 years. They haven’t been able to reach any agreement with the Disney controlled Reedy Creek Improvement District, however this week a small victory has been won.

Magistrate James Stokes, who has sided with the union representing Walt Disney World’s firefighters on several issues, has made some recommendations to put a contract in place. Some of his recommendations are that the pay scale should increase by $3,000 & employees should be paid retroactive from the last contract. That 90 percent of employees’ health-insurance costs should be paid, although the district argues that will cause employees to choose higher costing insurance. He also recommends that a specialized type of body scan be a part of its annual physicals, by doing this he thinks illnesses will be discovered earlier and help in the recovery time.

So far, Tim Stromsnes, president of the Reedy Creek Fire & Rescue IAFF Local 2117, is saying they will accept the recommendations however Reedy Creek has not yet made a decision. According to the district assistant administrator, Ann Blakslee, they are still reviewing the information.

If these recommendations are not agreed upon it then it goes to the Reedy Creek board of supervisors who will vote on it.

Stokes noted that Reedy Creek firefighters are at a disadvantage because the union does not have traditional political leverage because the governing body is decided on by the Disney Company who is the primary owner of the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
