A tale as old as time on your legs, hooray! These are soft and durable, and made with a beautiful quality. These polyester/spandex leggings will never lose their stretch and provide that support and comfort you love. They feature all of the different stained glass story images from the original animated classic! These would be perfect paired with Beauty and the Beast t-shirt, or even a cute sun dress.
As we reported earlier the latest animation to live-action in the pipeline is “Dumbo” headed by Tim Burton. In talks to appear in “Dumbo” – Eva Green best known from “Penny Dreadful”.
Green and Burton are no strangers to each other. Green appeared in both of Burton’s 2016’s “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and 2012’s “Dark Shadows”.
The live-action remake of “Dumbo” is written by Ehren Kruger, who produces with Justin Springer (“Tron: Legacy”). Disney’s original version focused on a big-eared, lovable circus elephant, who is mocked for his large ears but learns to use them as wings to fly.
We’re all eagerly awaiting the May 27th Opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we thought we’d give you an overview of all the information that has been released recently regarding Pandora.
Disney recently released this video that explains how Pandora’s vision and Animal Kingdom’s vision are very similar, and why they are making such a wonderful pair together.

We also learned more about the newest Dining options that will be available: Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu Refreshments.
Satu’li Canteen is listed as a Fast Casual restaurant, so most likely it means it will be the same as a quick service location, where you pick up your food at the counter and bring it back to your table to eat it.
There has not been an actual menu released yet, but the dining website states that guests will “discover healthful dishes and familiar flavors from another world—wholesome grains, fresh vegetables and hearty proteins.” There is also mention of “international-inspired cuisine, vegetarian options and specialty libations.”, so we imagine it won’t be your usual burger and fries type of Fast Casual Dining.
P0ngu Pongu is described as more of a drink/snack stand, where you can get “indiginous” beers as well as a “bioluminescent” cocktail, and snacks, such as the pineapple cream cheese spring roll pictured above.
We don’t know about you, but we’re getting very excited for the opening n May 27th! Will you be checking out some of the new foods and drinks inside Pandora: The World of Avatar on your next visit?

A new touring production of Disney’s “The Lion King” is planning to visit the Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa, bringing the first international tour of the world’s #1 musical to a new group of people. The tour is a collaboration of Disney Theatrical Productions and Michael Cassel Group.
The international tour, which will be performed in English, will launch in celebration of The Lion King’s 20th anniversary onstage and the title’s 25th global production.
“We’re proud to partner with our long-time friend Michael Cassel to bring the world renowned stage production of The Lion King to these vibrant cities,” said Thomas Schumacher, President & Producer, Disney Theatrical Productions. “Julie Taymor and her extraordinary creative team have realized a production of enormous scale, beauty and heart. I cannot wait for new audiences to join us in the Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and South Africa, the show’s creative birthplace.”
It is wonderful that these countries in Asia will be able to experience this largely South African cast of The Lion King. They’re in for a tremendous treat as the soul of this music will come through these extraordinary performers,” the show’s director, costume designer and mask co-designer Julie Taymor said. “Asia is a big part of my life, having spent four years in Indonesia and traveled throughout many countries in the region. It is thrilling to bring this production back to a part of the world that has been a major inspiration in my life.”
Speaking ahead of auditions to be held in South Africa, Lebo M, who provided additional music, lyrics, vocal score and arrangements to The Lion King commented, “This international tour will provide the opportunity for audiences around the world to witness this incredible production, featuring South Africa’s greatest talents.”
The first round of auditions for the international tour will commence in South Africa in March 2017.
Further announcements regarding theatres and dates will be made over the coming months, with tickets for the international tour’s premiere in Manila to go on sale in October 2017, ahead of its opening in March 2018.
“Moana” is one of the best Disney films, in my opinion. The songs are addictive, the characters are refreshing and new and this is one of the few completely original stories that Disney has told (not a remake, reimagining or retelling). Now that it’s out on Blu-ray go out and get it! Disney always makes it worth owning a Blu-ray, not just for the film, but for all the awesome bonus features.
Some of the bonus features I already reviewed, that’s why some of this might sound familiar.
The Inner Workings Short
My review of the short before the “Moana” feature is here. Still a delight to have on the disc!
Gone Fishing
This little nugget of fun featured Auli’i and The Rock as their characters Moana and Maui. It was short and sweet and dives deeper into the fun of these characters
Voice of the Islands
It was explained during the press conference that the team behind the making of “Moana” went to the Pacific Islands many times to get to know the people and their culture so they can be true to the telling of the story. What they didn’t include when explaining that is the cameras were rolling the whole time and documented their visits and interviewed all these people and learned so much about the beauty that is the culture of the Pacific. It’s very moving to watch how much influence and emotion is involved within the Pacific Islanders in the making of this movie.
Things You Didn’t Know About
A fun, rapid fire Q&A with the players involved in the making of “Moana” Ron, John, Auli’i & Dwayne
What did you eat for breakfast? What is your favorite Disney movie? Fun questions answered by the stars and directors of “Moana” Mark, Opetaia & Lin
Same questions given to the musical artist of this film. What is your favorite Disney song though got an interesting answer.
Island Fashion
Neysa Bove did the animated costume design. What she learned from the culture to influence the design of the costumes, since there is no reference for that time.
The Elements of…
4 short behind the scenes featurettes explaining some of the more difficult hurdles Disney had to overcome for “Moana”
Mini-Maui – The tattoos on Maui, of Maui (you get that?). They brought in a well-known 2D artist Disney animator, Eric Goldberg. He studied the tattoos of the Pacific Islanders as reference.
Water – The element of water was an incredible challenge. This was actually a special effect and not animation. Since something like this had never been done (not just making water digitally, but making it look real) Disney made new software for this film. It’s great to watch the development of making water into a character!
Lava – This short is about Te Ka the lava monster, and the massive complication with making her. There are layers and layers of VFX on top of the animation. Personally, I think Te Ka is one of the most visually stunning characters in “Moana”
Hair – Who knew hair could be so complicated! Again Disney had to make new software to make the hair look like hair. This short dives into the simulation technology that the CG artists used to make those locks flow.
They Know the Way
This short featured Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina – The brains and talent behind all the Moana music. It was fun to see a behind the scenes look at these three super talented musicians doing their craft. And to watch the bromance blossom was fun and heart warming.
Deleted Song – “Warrior Face”
Introduced by Lin Manuel-Miranda this is a deleted song from the film. It’s shown in story board and sung by his scratch track singers – the cast from “Hamilton”
Fishing For Easter Eggs
If you’re fast enough at watching most Disney films, you will find Easter Eggs of past Disney characters. This is a well-known fact. Let me tell you, there are MANY more than I had thought originally. You probably saw Maui turn into Sven (“Frozen”) or one of the Kakamora looking like Baymax (“Big Hero 6”). But did you see the lamp from “Aladdin”, or all the hidden Mickeys in the ocean? Yeah, me neither. Auli’i goes through most of the Easter Eggs for you. Most.
Deleted Scenes
With an intro from directors Ron and John 7 total storyboarded scenes are explained and walked through, with temporary voice tracks. They also explain why these scenes didn’t make the cut.
“How Far I’ll Go” Around the World
The song sung by Moana in every language. It’s really beautiful.
“Moana” is a beautiful film and I do plan on watching it many times. I would highly recommended doing you and your family a favor and adding this instant Disney classic into your collection.
