First Section of Covered Seating Now Open at Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box Finally Gets Some Shade in Toy Story Land

After more than three years in the making, guests visiting Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can now enjoy a long-awaited addition—covered seating at Woody’s Lunch Box! The first section of the new shade structure has officially opened, providing some much-needed relief from the sweltering Florida sun while diners enjoy their snacks and sandwiches in style.

This whimsical new covering fits right in with the playful Toy Story theme, appearing as though it was assembled from Andy’s own erector set. On top, the ever-watchful Green Army Men keep an eye out over Toy Story Land, adding that extra touch of immersive storytelling that Disney fans know and love.

Woody’s Lunch Box has been a fan-favorite quick-service location since Toy Story Land opened, serving up crave-worthy comfort food and breakfast delights. From the savory BBQ Brisket Melt to the creative “Totchos” (that’s tater tot nachos, for the uninitiated), the menu offers something for every toy in the toy box. Breakfast lovers can start their day with a hearty Breakfast Bowl of potato barrels, eggs, and smoked brisket gravy, while those with a sweet tooth can snag “The Clawwww!” Lunch Box Tart—filled with key lime curd and topped with colorful sugary decorations.

Plant-based and allergy-friendly options are also widely available, including items like the Toasted “Cheddar” Sandwich and gluten/wheat allergy-friendly sandwiches. And for guests looking to cool down, the Frozen Mystic Portal Punch served in an Alien Sipper is a popular souvenir drink, as is the grown-up favorite, Grown-Up’s Lemonade with cherry vodka.

Currently, only the right-hand side of the new shade structure is open to guests, with the left side still under construction. Disney has posted a warning during Mobile Order that seating is limited due to ongoing work, and Cast Members are restricting the seating area to only those picking up mobile orders. While that may temporarily limit availability, it’s exciting to see progress finally being made on this long-anticipated upgrade.

Once fully complete, the covered seating will greatly enhance the dining experience at Woody’s Lunch Box, providing a more comfortable and enjoyable spot to refuel during your Toy Story Land adventures. Until then, keep an eye out for those Green Army Men and maybe snag a Mobile Order slot—because with that Florida heat, this new shady spot is bound to be popular!

Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds Tickets On Sale Beginning April 14th

EVENT PROGRAMMING

On Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31, ticketed guests can enjoy a full slate of over 25 specially curated presentations from across The Walt Disney Company, including Walt Disney Studios, Disney Entertainment Television, Disney Experiences, and the Walt Disney Archives. This programming will feature the creative visionaries and talent behind popular films and series, Imagineers, archivists, and Disney Legends, providing exclusive access and behind-the-scenes looks at fan-favorite entertainment and experiences.

D23 Shopping Spree, an exclusive shopping experience, will be available to Destination D23 attendees starting Friday, August 29 and run throughout the weekend. Returning favorites include The Walt Disney Company Store and Mickey’s of Glendale, and new this year, is Disney Studio Store Hollywood. All three locations will offer specialty merchandise, including limited-edition pins that will only be available through a Random Selection Process (RSP) opportunity. The return of the Ink & Paint Marketplace will feature an assortment of items from some fan-favorite brands and friends of Disney.

On Saturday, August 30, all attendees are invited to celebrate 25 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Emperor’s New Groove during D23 Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon, which will feature complimentary snacks, photo opportunities, special activities, and exclusive entertainment.

On Sunday, August 31, Disney ‘80s-’90s Celebration in Concert, presented by Disney+, caps off the weekend’s festivities as Broadway and Disney Animation stars take attendees on a musical journey with show-stopping performances, rock-concert lighting, and larger-than-life projections tied to musical moments from some of the best hits of these groundbreaking decades.

Throughout the weekend, additional experiences will be available for Destination D23 attendees to enjoy at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, including The Walt Disney Archives Presents: Charting the Course, Disney’s Global Stories & Inspirations. This all-new exhibit celebrates the world around us and the global locations and cultures that have inspired Disney storytelling for generations. From Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise (2021) costume to animation maquettes from The Lion King (1994) and Mulan (1998)to original puppets from EPCOT’s Tapestry of Nations, fans will discover a vibrant global celebration.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVATIONS

During the week leading up to the event, fans can enjoy D23 Nights at Disney Springs, featuring a variety of additional fun activities and offers. And, on Thursday, August 28, D23 is hosting A Goofy Movie Throwback Premiere. Stay tuned for more information coming soon about this separately ticketed event available to all D23 Members. Additional information will be released at a later date about an event happening the evening of Friday, August 29.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Tickets for Destination D23 will go on sale exclusively to D23 Gold Members on April 14 starting at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT. General admission tickets are available for $299. In addition, a limited number of Preferred ($549) and Premiere ($799) seating tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. These tickets will include dedicated queues for reserved seating areas. D23 Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest for General, Preferred, or Premier seating.

Belt It Out! New Walt Disney World Belt Bags Spotted at Hollywood Studios

Alright, buckle up, buttercup, because we just stumbled upon some seriously cute loot at Hollywood Studios that you need to know about! We’re talkin’ Walt Disney World belt bags, people, and for just $29.99 a pop, they’re practically begging to come home with you.

First up, we’ve got the Monorail Belt Bag, and it’s giving us all the chill vibes. Picture this: an off-white bag with this super cool sketch-style art of a Monorail zooming past Cinderella Castle. Palm trees are chillin’ on either side, and the background’s got this awesome rainbow fade. Oh, and get this – in the corner, it says “Just along for the ride” in these groovy orange and yellow letters. Universal Orlando Launching New Annual Passholder Instagram & Facebook Pages

Universal Orlando Launches New Social Pages for Annual Passholders—Old Facebook Group to Be Deactivated

Big changes are coming for Universal Orlando Resort Annual Passholders on social media. Universal has officially launched new Instagram and Facebook pages dedicated to UOAPs, replacing the long-running Facebook Group that has served as a central hub for passholder news and community interaction.

In a post shared to the Facebook Group on Monday morning, Universal announced that the group would be deactivated in the near future due to changes in Facebook’s platform policies for Groups. The new official Facebook Page can be found at facebook.com/UOAnnualPassholders, while the Instagram handle is @UOAnnualPassholders.

The first post on both platforms features a welcome video introducing the new pages as the go-to spot for UOAP news, exclusive perks, giveaways, and event updates. While these Pages will offer the latest details and continue the celebration of all things #UOAP, some features will be different. Most notably, passholders will no longer be able to create their own posts on the Page, as was possible in the Group format.

However, Universal encourages passholders to stay interactive by commenting on posts, tagging @UOAnnualPassholders in public social posts, and using the hashtag #AskUniversal on X (formerly Twitter) for questions. Current passholder perks and benefits can still be reviewed anytime on the Passholder homepage of the Universal Orlando Resort website.
