Last night was the Hollywood premiere of the long awaited “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” Everyone was out for this one, on the red carpet with the photographers.

Everyone’s favorite alien is back and on the loose this summer in Tomorrowland.
Stitch’s Great Escape! at Magic Kingdom moved to a seasonal operating schedule late last year. The theater style attraction will be open May 27 through to August 19 2017. Operating hours are 10am to 6pm.
It was recently announced that Stitch’s would be moving from Town Square to Tomorrowland this summer for meet and greets, which makes perfect sense with Stitch’s Great Escape! reopening its doors for the summer. Although an exact location to meet Stitch in Tomorrowland has not yet been listed, I’m guessing it won’t be too far from Stitch’s Great Escape!.

In a move that is bound to have Disney-loving ladies jumping with joy, Disney and LuLaRoe announced yesterday that they will be starting an exciting new collaboration that will bring fun Disney leggings, dresses etc. to the masses.
The new items in this Disney-focused collection are set to be released on May 30th and will be available to order beginning on June 6th. However, as many who have purchased items through LuLaRoe will already know, this stylish new merchandise will not be available for purchase online but rather can only be done through in person parties and sales. This makes the next couple of weeks a fantastic time to get in touch with your local rep and to start planning!

We are hearing good news concerning opening weekend for Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar. We already knew that beginning May 27 and running through July 4 Walt Disney World Resort guests would receive two Extra Magic Hours to explore Pandora – The World of Avatar. Now it looks like Disney has added a few other attractions on opening weekend for resort guests to enjoy. On May 27 – 29 from 11:00pm to 1:00am Walt Disney World resort guests will be able to not only explore Pandora – The World of Avatar but will also have the option of enjoying Expedition Everest, Primeval Whirl, TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, Tree of Life awakenings, Rivers of Light, and Discovery Island Carnivale.
From May 30 to July 4 it is anticipated that Evening Extra Magic Hours will only include Pandora – The World of Avatar. If anything changes, we will be sure to let you know.

More exciting news coming out of Pandora – The World of Avatar today! Disney has announced “Connect to Protect,” a new interactive way for guests to explore the new Pandora World and support conservation efforts here on Planet Earth at the same time.
“Connect to Protect” is a mobile adventure that invites guests to participate in missions with a scientist while exploring the incredible Valley of Mo’ara and helping protect the habits of at-risk animals here on Earth.
Upon entering the land, guests using the My Disney Experience app will be invited to instant message with one of the moon’s ecological specialists, Fitsimti “Fits” Buckley. Fits will guide you around Pandora, showing off some of the more exotic elements of the environment and sharing important messages about conservation along the way that can be applied both on Pandora and here on Earth.
After completing one or more missions, you will unlock a $10 contribution from Disney Parks, through the Disney Conservation Fund, or a $5 contribution just for discussing conservation. You will then get to choose how that contribution will help protect or restore habitats important to one of 10 threatened categories of animals: apes, elephants, butterflies, coral reefs, cranes, monkeys, rhinos, sea turtles, sharks & rays, and tigers.

The breakfast menu for Satu’li Canteen at Pandora – The World of Avatar has been released and it looks incredible! From sweet to savory, there definitely is something to please every palate. And, if it tastes as great as their adventurous lunch and dinner options, everyone is in for a treat!
On the savory side, there’s a hearty Vegetable Goat Cheese Frittata with Wood-Fired, Herb-Crusted Beef and Chimichurri; as well as Pork Shoulder Potato Hash with Chorizo Sausage and Natural Jus, or a Steamed Pod (bao bun) with Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Spinach and Pickled Vegetables.
If you prefer a sweet beginning to the day, try the Tropical Pandora Forest Fruits with Yogurt Muesli and Vanilla Maple Syrup; Steel-Cut Oats with Whiskey Raisins, Marcona Almonds, Goji Berry, or Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with Blueberry Cheesecake Dollop and Passion Fruit Anglaise.

Katy Perry was announced as a judge for the ABC reboot of The American Idol at the network’s Upfronts presentation in New York City on Tuesday.
She took to twitter to announce it herself.

In a press release sent out after the announcement, Perry said she was “honored” to be a part of the iconic show.
“I am honored and thrilled to be the first judge bringing back the American Idol tradition of making dreams come true for incredible talents with authentic personalities and real stories,” she shared. “I’m always listening to new music, and love discovering diamonds in the rough – from mentoring young artists on my label, or highlighting new artists on my tours, I want to bring it back to the music.”
Perry addressed rumors that she would be joining the show during a Tuesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“Judge not, lest you be judged, but they didn’t say anything about constructive criticism, and I’m good at that,” she said cheekily.
On Wednesday the Disney Fantasy returned to the open sea after spending 18 nights at the shipyards in Freeport Bahamas. During this short amount of time, Disney Cruise Line packed an enormous amount of enhancements into its newest ship.

What’s more magical than a Disney Cruise? The only answer can be a Halloween or Christmas Party during your sailing!
In addition to Fall/Winter 2018 sailings being open for booking this week, the cruises for the Halloween on the High Seas sailings and the Very MerryTime Christmas sailings have been announced. Typically, the sailings for these specially-themed cruises are not released until several months after the original release of all the sailing. However, it looks like Disney wanted to change things up this year and quietly release these sailings ahead of time.
There are several itineraries, sail dates from September to December, and departure ports to chose from that offer these uniquely-themed sailings. Staterooms are filling up very quickly and I have seen a few sailings almost at capacity.

The Mata family in San Tan Valley, AZ has been through a lot this month. A little over a week ago their summer vacation to Disneyland was literally stolen away from them. For the past three years the family’s three children had been selling candy to other neighborhood kids from their front door and saving chore money. They were working hard in order to earn enough money for a trip to Disneyland. 11-year-old Mariel, 6-year-old Elena, and 4-year-old Emmanuel would put every dollar they earned into a big plastic water cooler jug. After a break-in at their home, it’s now all gone.
A Pinal County Sheriff’s office spokesman says 18-year-old Tony Cheatham was arrested in connection with the burglary and released. Unfortunately for the Mata children, he only had $75 on him during his arrest.
When the plastic jug was last counted before the robbery, there had been over $500 inside. The children decided that this set back was not going to stop them. They made the choice to start from scratch and begin saving again.
This story aired on ABC15 and the station began hearing from multiple people across the country wanting to help. The Burke family was among them. The station arranged for Victoria, her husband Brian, and her son Orion to meet with the Mata family. The Burkes felt they needed to do something to help these children. They brought a gift bag filled Disney toys and coloring books. An envelope was also tucked inside with $600 to help the family make it to Disneyland. Victoria Burke also wrote the three Mata children a note which read “Your hard work and love can never be stolen as now it has been shared with the world and inspires others”.
Such a heartwarming story in a world where ugliness is plentiful. It’s good to have reminders that there are inspirational people walking among us.
