I love all the new accessories that can be found now, and I don’t know how I made it on time anywhere before this new style of planners came out. I have only found a few Disney planner accessories, but these colorful stickers have stolen my heart! Epcot International Festival of the Arts Presents Fun & Artistic Foods At World Showcase Food Kiosks

20170114_092615

The 2017 inaugural Epcot International Festival of the Arts opened this weekend.  Food kiosks have become popular and are a staple of any Epcot Festival.  Now in its first year, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts presents fun and artistic foods at food kiosks around World Showcase.

As you enter Epcot, be sure to pick up your Guidemap, Times Guide, and Festival Passport.  Your guidemap will help you navigate the World Showcase to find the food kiosks as all restaurants and food kiosks are noted in the Legend of the map with a fork and knife enclosed in a purple circle.  The Times Guide will help you find complimentary seminars such as Watermelon Carving and Tea Discovery.  Your Festival Passbook will assist you with checking off foods you have tried, and others you hope to try on your next visit.

As you enter the World Showcase from Future World, and turn right to head towards Canada, you will see the Decadent Delights food kiosk.  The menu features such items as the popular Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate-Chip Cookie and the Deconstructed Purple Sweet Potato Pie.  The kiosk did not have any of the Purple Sweet Potato Pies when they opened at 11:00am so I have placed that on my list of food items to try next weekend.

The Masterpiece Kitchen, at the Canada Pavilion, boasted a line at 11:30am for their food menu items.  The Smoked Salmon Tartare looked delicious and the Mickey & Pluto White Chocolate Art Painting was adorable.  The most popular menu choices were the Charcuterie Palette and the White Chocolate Puzzle.  I have added the Charcuterie Palette to my list of must-try-foods for my next visit to the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

The Japan Pavilion food kiosk is featuring Futomaki Sushi.  This particular food choice is appetizing just by the colors alone.  The pink soy wrap encasing the Sushi adds to the presentation of this delectable dish.

The American Pavilion hosts The Artist’s Table food kiosk.  The Roasted Pork Roulade was tender and seasoned to perfection.  The Callebaut Belgian Sipping Chocolate Flight was simply magnificent.  The melted chocolate was very warm and smooth.  If you enjoy chocolate this is a must-try item for your list.  The Pan Seared Scallop was the most popular menu item and the team at The Artist’s Table were hard-pressed to keep up with the demand for this flavorful dish.

The Cuisine Classique food kiosk is located near the Germany Pavilion.  The Braised Beef Short Rib was the most requested food item at this kiosk.  The beef was tender and full of flavor.  This particular dish was accented with Broccolini and Baby Tomatoes.

The Painter’s Palette, located inside the Odyssey Festival Showplace building, features some popular choices.  More than half of the people in line were waiting for the Trio of Savory Croissant Doughnuts.  They look like bagels to me and I was told by guests that they are more airy.  Each Doughnut is filled with a savory combination of ingredients.  I have added this to my must-try list on my next visit to the Festival of the Arts.  The Margherita Flatbread is what you would expect for a Flatbread option.  The basil pesto really makes this dish.

The E=AT2 offers some familiar foods with an artistic twist.  The Classic Reuben, Cobb Salad, and BLT are sure to be a hit .  The POP Eats food kiosk is clearly a take on Pop Art, and Pop Tarts, with their artistically created Pop’t Art sugar cookie option.  We have also added this particular item to our must-try list on our next visit.

If you enjoy coffee drinks, then the Joffrey’s kiosks are what you will be looking for.  Joffrey’s offers Passport Specialty Beverages at each of their locations.  Can you say Dreamy Bourbon?

Epcot’s food kiosks have certainly become quite popular.  We see them for basically every special event offered at this park.  While there are not as many food kiosks as what we are used to with the annual Epcot Food and Wine Festival, they have enough on offer to grab the interest of your flavor palate.  The Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate-Chip Cookie is featured at many of the food kiosks and is a popular item amongst the guests.

Food presentation and preparation are truly an Art form. The Chef’s have put together some beautiful dishes for us to purchase at the food kiosks of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.  Even the name of each food kiosk is somehow reminiscent of  Artists.  We look forward to sampling additional food items over the course of the next five weeks, as the Epcot International Festival of the Arts presents fun and artistic foods at its World Showcase food kiosks.

What foods are you excited about sampling at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts food kiosks?  Please leave your comments in the box below.

Disneyland Resort Honors Oscar Martinez As He Celebrates 60th Service Anniversary

omltcm3788011

Oscar Martinez, the longest-tenured cast member at the Disneyland Resort, recently celebrated his 60th year working at the resort – the last 50 of them working at the café on Main Street, U.S.A. Originally, Oscar worked in Fantasyland quick-service locations, and over the years, trained many new cast members, including grill cooks from Tokyo Disneyland.

After years spent whipping up breakfasts and lunches for guests, Oscar now spends a lot of his time greeting guests at Carnation Café, where his breakfast potatoes are featured in a menu item named in his honor.

On Jan. 17, a couple of weeks after his Dec. 29 service anniversary, Oscar was presented with a one-of-a-kind award created just for him at Walt Disney Imagineering. The inspiration was “Cinderella”, a movie that has never been used to help design a service anniversary award.

Celine Dion To Perform Original Song For Live-Action “Beauty And The Beast”

unnamed

Five-time Grammy winning and best-selling recording artist Celine Dion will perform an all-new original song, “How Does A Moment Last Forever,” for Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” The song will also be included on the film’s soundtrack.

Written by eight-time Oscar®-winning composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin”) and veteran lyricist and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (“The Lion King,” “Evita”), “How Does A Moment Last Forever” is an emotional ballad about holding onto life’s precious moments. Portions of the song are performed throughout the film and interpolated into the underscore before Dion’s full-length version debuts in the film’s custom main-on-end title design.

Says Dion, “Being a part of the original ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was such a magical experience in my life, and I’m truly honored to be a part of this film again.”
President of Music for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Production, Mitchell Leib, approached the artist on behalf of the project with the idea of recording one of the three new songs written for the film. “Celine was the unanimous choice of the filmmakers and studio to perform this song,” says Leib, “And everyone involved with the film is thrilled she agreed to be part of this new live-action adaptation.”

Dion originally performed the duet “Beauty and the Beast” – featuring Menken’s haunting melody and two-time Oscar-winner Howard Ashman’s unforgettable lyrics – with Peabo Bryson for the animated film. The song became an instant classic and went on to receive an Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and three GRAMMY Awards.
Menken also provides the film score along with new recordings of the classic songs from the animated film written by himself and Ashman. The original motion picture soundtrack will be released by Walt Disney Records on March 10, 2017. You can pre-order it here.

Grand and Miraculous Spaceship Earth Inspired Mouse Ears

Spaceship Earth Inspired Mouse Ears

The wonders of Spaceship Earth sparkle brightly in these beautiful Spaceship Earth Inspired Mouse Ears on Etsy by MouseBands. I’m a huge fan of Epcot, and I love that these ears show off the park’s most famous icon.

The designer Jennifer uses a rare fabric featuring the geometric pattern found on the iconic Spaceship Earth at Epcot to launch these fabulous ears into reality. A sparkling sequin bow in your choice of color perfectly resembles the glinting lights refracting around the Future World attractions. The ears are perfectly set on a glittering headband to show off Epcot’s Spaceship Earth in Disney Style. These would be great ears to have for the new International Festival of the Arts, or the up-coming Flower and Garden Festival, you could wear them for both events. If you’ve been able to read this, thank the Phoenicians or you can check out the ears here! The designer offers a whole host of other beautiful Disney inspired ears that you can find below as well!
