Disney launches Princess Mystery Box Service

Leading subscription toy company Pley.com is expanding its popular toy service by introducing a Disney Princess mystery subscription box line. The Disney Princess PleyBox subscription service will magically arrive every two months and includes a mix of toys, t-shirts, accessories and other goodies. The service is kicking off with a one-of-a-kind package inspired by Disney’s animated classic film Beauty and the Beast.

Available now, the Disney Princess PleyBox subscription service will bring the stories of the brave, kind and adventurous Disney Princess characters to life in a unique and interactive way. The first available box in the line-up includes toys, a t-shirt, book and role play item inspired by Disney’s animated classic Beauty and The Beast.

Curated for hours of entertainment with numerous activities and accessories, the innovative Disney Princess PleyBox also boasts a sustainable design that mitigates cardboard shipping waste while providing added play value for kids.

“Instead of throwing the packaging away, our physical shipping boxes become a part of the princesses’ story. Special Entry Points for Annual Passholders being Extended

There are many perks to being an Annual Passholder at the Walt Disney World Resort, and recently AP’s were experiencing another special perk at the parks: special entry lines for AP holders only.

Though it was supposed to be a limited-time only deal (most likely a trial period to see how it actually worked), we hear from our friends at WDW News Today that this perk has been extended through the Spring, with no exact dates given by Disney for when we can expect it to end.

Hopefully this means the Annual Passholder Entry lines may be a permanent fixture in the future!

Beauty & The Beast Themed Sweets Now Appearing at Disney Springs

One thing we love seeing, and tasting, is themed sweets at the Walt Disney World Resort. With the Beauty & The Beast Live Action film premiering next month, we have been looking for some movie themed specialty food items. We were happy to discover Beauty & The Beast themed sweets are now appearing at Disney Springs.

We spotted The Enchanted Rose at Amorette’s Patisserie in the Town Center Neighborhood of Disney Springs. This beautiful cake features the yellow and gold from Belle’s dress and the Red Rose with its petals falling around the sides of the cake.

The Candy Cauldron, in the West Side Neighborhood of Disney Springs, is featuring Beauty & the Beast themed cupcakes. These sweet cupcakes are decorated with yellow frosting and topped with a decorative Red Rose. We will check out the parks for additional movie themed sweet treats. For now, we are happy to see that Beauty & The Beast themed sweets are appearing at Disney Springs.

Victoria & Albert’s at Disney World Awarded AAA Five Diamonds for 17th Year in a Row

Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World Resort has been awarded with AAA Five Diamonds for the 17th year in a row since 2000. The restaurant is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and is the only AAA Five Diamond restaurant in Central Florida. There are currently only 47 restaurants in the United States that are recipients of the AAA Five Diamond Award.

Restaurants awarded with AAA Five Diamonds reflect the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. Victoria & Albert’s impresses guests every single night of the year with three dining experiences: the dining room, the elegant Queen Victoria’s Room and the Chef’s Table in the kitchen.

Tokyo Disney Unveils New Character Themed Rooms

One of the most fun things about Tokyo Disney is how fully immersive the theming is throughout their resorts, as compared to Disneyland and Walt Disney World here in the states. In particular, we love the resorts at Tokyo Disney Resort, and they just added two new character themed rooms at the Disney Ambassador Hotel. Guests can now stay in rooms with Chip and Dale theming or Lilo and Stitch theming according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Disney Ambassador Hotel now has more than 150 Disney character-themed rooms, with Chip ‘n Dale and Stitch joining fan favorites like Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

A few months ago we revealed some cute new Tsum Tsum merchandise to look forward to in the future. One being adorable mini Tsum Tsum cars! These new toys are a bit different, but finally The Disney Store has brought us Tsum Tsum cars!

These Tsum Tsum Die Cast Vehicles have been re-imagined as little stackable cars complete with rolling wheels, a clear windscreen, and ”Tsum Tsum” styling. Drones Used During Super Bowl Halftime Show Were Twins To Those Premiered at Disney Springs Last Christmas

For those Disney fans catching the halftime show last night for Super Bowl LI, one aspect may have seemed very familiar. Disney launched a first-of-its kind Christmas production last November that used drones to create beautiful holiday pictures in the night sky at Disney Springs. Dubbed “Starbright Holidays” this marked a collaboration between Intel and Disney Imagineering as a test of how drone technology can be used to enhance the experience of stage shows, parades and fireworks displays across the Disney theme parks. This is the very same technology that was used to “wow” the crowds during Lady Gaga’s rousing performance at Super Bowl LI.

Both productions used over 300 “shooting star” drones to create these aerial designs. Intel announced that the Super Bowl marked the highest that these drones have ever flown. Reaching heights of 700 feet, Intel needed to apply for a special permit from the FAA in order for the show to take place. This is 300 feet higher then the production at Disney Springs.

Watch this space for the latest info on how Disney and Intel will utilize this technology in the months to come.

Just moments ago James White from the New England Patriots was on hand at the Magic Kingdom to celebrate his win Disney Style!

The Super Bowl Champ got to hang out with Mickey Mouse himself as Disney threw him a Celebration Parade in the Magic Kingdom.

This was the fourth time a member of the New England Patriots has participated in a Super Bowl Parade at Walt Disney World.

You Can Now Make Dining Reservations for Paddlefish

With it’s Grand Opening this past weekend, many guests have been waiting patiently for the news that Paddlefish is now accepting Dining reservations! If you are using the Disney Dining Reservation site you can start choosing reservation dates of February 20th or later, but OpenTable is currently allowing reservations starting today!

However, when we tried to get a reservation, we got an error message, so it looks like they may be working out the kinks in the online system, so I would keep checking back!

If you manage to snag a reservation before February 20th, let us know!
