You Can Now Make Dining Reservations for Paddlefish

With it’s Grand Opening this past weekend, many guests have been waiting patiently for the news that Paddlefish is now accepting Dining reservations! If you are using the Disney Dining Reservation site you can start choosing reservation dates of February 20th or later, but OpenTable is currently allowing reservations starting today!

However, when we tried to get a reservation, we got an error message, so it looks like they may be working out the kinks in the online system, so I would keep checking back!

If you manage to snag a reservation before February 20th, let us know!

New England Patriots fans can celebrate their teams’ successful season and Super Bowl Victory with a free night and room upgrade at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. Residents of New England will receive a free night and complimentary automatic room upgrade at the Epcot Resort-area resort when booking two nights at the standard price before February 28, 2017 for stays through Jan. 31, 2018.

Alcohol Signs Now Visible at Magic Kingdom Restaurants

You may have heard that alcohol is now being served at some Magic Kingdom restaurants, that have not formerly done so. As part of that change, signs have been added to these restaurants. During a recent visit, we discovered the alcohol signs are now visible at Magic Kingdom restaurants that are serving alcohol.

We stopped by Liberty Tree Tavern recently and the sign was very visible as we entered the main check-in area. The sign warns that serving alcohol to anyone under the age of 21 is unlawful and anyone caught distributing alcohol to an under-aged person will be ejected from the premises and will face prosecution. While we realize some Walt Disney fans are upset about alcohol being served in Magic Kingdom, you can expect to see these alcohol signs at each restaurant now serving alcohol at The Most Magical Place On Earth.

Patriots Running Back James White is Going to Disney World!

New England Patriots running back James White celebrated his team’s come-from-behind 34-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Super Bowl LI with five simple words “I’m going to Disney World!”

White, who was a crucial player in this Super Bowl win, caught 14 passes for 110 yards and had three touchdowns including the game winning score. This makes him the perfect player to carry on the tradition, started 30 years ago, of visiting Disney World right after a win.

Disney will celebrate White’s visit with a parade slated to happen on Monday afternoon around 2:30pm at the Magic Kingdom where fans and Disney park guests will be cheering him on.

This will be the fourth time a member of the New England Patriots has participated in a Super Bowl Parade.

I love when Etsy sellers team up to showcase their beautiful collections, especially the Disney designers! However, I don’t see many Disney Etsy Collabs for sale. I was so delighted to see this Matching Nail Polish and Necklace Disney Etsy Collaboration by two of my favorite designers though!

“Zooptopia” Wins Top Prize at Annie Awards

Disney’s “Zootopia” is at it again. After winning best animated feature at the Golden Globe Awards, it won six categories including best animated feature at the 44th Annual Annie Awards.

Total, Disney won 10 awards at the animation industry’s big night on Saturday at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

“Zootopia” directors Byron Howard and Rich Moore as well as writers Jared Bush and Phil Johnston took trophies, as did Cory Loftis for character design, Dean Wellins for storyboarding, and Jason Bateman, the voice of fox Nick Wilde, who shared the voice acting in a feature win with “Moana” star Auli’i Cravalho.

In addition to Cravalho’s win, Disney’s “Moana” took home an Annie for animated effects in a feature (Marlon West, Erin V. Ramos, Blair Pierpont, Ian J. Coony, and John M. Kosnik).

Disney / Pixar won for best short in “Piper”, theatrically it played before “Finding Dory”.

Disney / Marvel won best animated effects in a live action production for “Doctor Strange” and Mirror Dimension Georg Kaltenbrunner, Michael Marcuzzi, Thomas Bevan, Andrew Graham, Jihyun Yoon.

Disney rounded out its night with wins for its TV series “Disney Mickey Mouse” (Illya Owens for editorial in a TV/broadcast production) and for character animation in a live-action production for “The Jungle Book” (Andrew R. Jones, Peta Bayley, Gabriele Zucchelli, and Benjamin Jones).

Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ ticket presales rival Avenger Films!

Beauty and the Beast is attracting “Marvel Avengers” type presales according to many online ticket retailers.

Tickets for Walt Disney’s live-action remake of the famed fairy tale Beauty and the Beast went on sale on this past Monday and online movie ticket retailer Fandango says sales are pacing a superhero blockbuster like the Marvel’s Avengers.

“With its dazzling new trailers, Beauty and the Beast is creating tremendous buzz among movie fans of all ages,” said Fandango managing editor Erik Davis in a statement. “Its pre-sales rival those of a superhero movie.”

Compared with other family-friendly fare, “Beauty and the Beast,” at this point in Fandango’s sales cycle, has topped previous record-holder “Finding Dory”. “Finding Dory” went on to sell $486.3 million at the North American box office and more than $1 billion world-wide.

The film, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, hits theaters March 17, and with six weeks before it opens, Fandango says there are already hundreds of sold-out showtimes across the country.

Disney’s Descendants 2 Introduces New Villains Kids

The creative story about the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains will continue in “Descendants 2,” a Disney Channel Original Movie. Even though the first movie ended up “Happily Ever After,” a whole new level of mystery and surprise comes to Auradon.

Check out the newest characters from Descendants 2, Thomas Doherty as the son of Captain Hook, Dylan Playfair as the son of Gaston and China Anne McClain as the daughter of Ursula. It’s going down!

Director Kenny Ortega returns to lead the acclaimed creative team on Descendants 2. The highly anticipated sequel to “Descendants,” the No. 1 cable television movie of 2015 and the fifth highest-rated original movie ever on U.S. cable TV in Total Viewers.

Dove Cameron (“Liv and Maddie”), Cameron Boyce (“Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” “Jessie”), Booboo Stewart (“X-Men Days of Future Past”), Sofia Carson (“Adventures in Babysitting”) and Mitchell Hope will reprise their starring roles as Mal, Carlos, Jay, Evie and King Ben, respectively.
