Camping Themed RV Food Truck Spotted at Fort Wilderness

It appears that an RV-turned-Food truck has been spotted at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, serving up new takes on traditional camping food.

According to the tweet, you can find fan favorites such as chicken nuggets, burgers, fries, and even adult beverages being served up from the vintage RV:

&nbsp

The new RV-Themed Food truck joins its 4 other Disney Food Truck brethren that can be regularly found at Disney Springs, offering some of the most popular favorite foods and treats from each of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

We think this fun camping-themed food truck is a great addition to Fort Wilderness, how about you?

Is Epcot International Festival of the Arts returning in 2018?

Arts

Arts

Hey there guys and gals it is I Anonymouse back with some Disney World Gossip!

I have some great news! The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is returning again in 2018!

Is Epcot International Festival of the Arts returning in 2018?

While not officially announced yet, Disney has the information on the Disney World Website.

Experience the ultimate cultural celebration as food, art and entertainment perfectly merge—coming in 2018!

No dates have been announced yet but the gossip is next year the Epcot International Festival of the Arts will be 7 days a week!

I think one of the drawbacks was the event only being on the weekends in 2017. Hopefully Disney felt the event was successful enough to bring it back again in 2018 and add Monday through Thursdays to the menu.

What do you think? Did you check it out this year?

As always nothing is official till Disney says it is.

That is all the Disney gossip I have for now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at anonymouse@chipandco.com or on my Facebook page

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Scenes Shot In IMAX, And More Disney IMAX Releases

last jedi

Following J.J. Abrams’ use of IMAX cameras in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, IMAX and Lucasfilm have announced that director Rian Johnson has captured key sequences of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” using IMAX’s extremely high-resolution cameras, delivering IMAX audiences greater scope and increased image quality in IMAX’s exclusive aspect ratio for a uniquely immersive experience.

The news of Johnson leveraging IMAX cameras for key sequences of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi “comes as part of an extended slate deal announcement between IMAX and The Walt Disney Studios. Building on their existing long-standing relationship, the two companies announced today that they have extended their multi-faceted agreement with a new multi-picture deal — beginning this year and extending through 2019 —that includes the much-anticipated live-action and animated tentpole releases from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm.

Highlights of the agreement include IMAX’s involvement in the release of Lucasfilm’s untitled Indiana Jones film, untitled Han Solo Star Wars anthology film, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Star Wars: Episode IX”; Marvel’s “Black Panther”, “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, “Captain Marvel”, “Avengers: Infinity War” and the untitled Avengers sequel, which as previously announced will both be shot entirely with IMAX cameras by the Russo Brothers; Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”, “A Wrinkle in Time” and “Mulan”; Pixar’s “The Incredibles 2” and “Toy Story 4” and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wreck-It Ralph” sequel.

“The Walt Disney Studios strives to bring great stories from visionary filmmakers to life for audiences around the world, leveraging the best technology available to create exceptional theatrical experiences,” said Alan Bergman, President, The Walt Disney Studios. “That’s what IMAX brings to the table, and we look forward to continuing to work with the IMAX team on the unparalleled upcoming slate of films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.”

As part of the new agreement, both companies will work together to create exclusive IMAX marketing materials, particularly for those films captured using IMAX cameras or featuring an expanded aspect ratio exclusively in IMAX theatres. In 2016, Disney occupied four of the top ten IMAX spots at the global box office, including “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, “Captain America: Civil War”, “Doctor Strange” and “The Jungle Book.”

“Disney is at the top of its game, offering fans around the world highly original and diverse movie-going entertainment, which aligns perfectly with The IMAX Experience as the most captivating and unique theatrical presentation,” said Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our close friends at Disney and this elite group of filmmakers to bring first-class entertainment to the IMAX theatre network. We are particularly excited to announce Rian Johnson’s use of IMAX cameras on ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ as we embark on a year that will feature more films with IMAX differentiation than ever before in our history.”

The IMAX release of each film will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

Contract dispute may soon be over for Disney’s Reedy Creek firefighters

Contract dispute may soon be over for Disney's Reedy Creek firefighters

After more than two years a contract dispute between the taxing district that serves Walt Disney World and its firefighters’ union may soon be over. Reedy Creek Improvement District Administrator, John Classe made the announcement at a board meeting today. No details were given other than that a tentative agreement has been made between the firefighters union and his staff. Next, the union members will vote on it. If all goes well, the board of the Disney-controlled Reedy Creek district would then approve the contract next month.

Reedy Creek Firefighters Association president Tim Stromsnes said, “The firefighters got 96 percent of what I asked for, I feel really good and I think we finally got where we need to be.” Stromsnes said he will drop plans  for pursuing legislation that would have made magistrates’ decisions binding in Reedy Creek union disputes.

Most of the 210 employees covered by the union contract would receive pay increases worth an average of 4.7 percent. Workers  would also receive $5,000 to cover the time they worked without pay increases due to the fact there had been no contract agreement. Stromsnes was unsuccessful in  trying to negotiate a bigger pay jump for about 40 emergency workers in the theme parks, bringing them up to what dispatchers earn.

The union did not get a provision it wanted that would have required the district to cover 90 percent of health insurance costs. However, the union will be involved in selecting an insurance plan. And even though the district won’t provide the procedure directly, it will provide money for a specialized type of body scan the firefighters had wanted, Stromsnes said.

A special shout out to all the brave men and women at RCFD, ” Thank you all so much for keeping us  safe while visiting Disney.”  Comment below if you agree.

Epcot Transforms For 24th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Epcot Transforms For 24th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Just one week from now, March 1st, Epcot will be kicking off its annual Flower & Garden Festival.  We were able to get a sneak peek of the transformation from Epcot’s first International Festival of the Arts, to its 24th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.  Here are some of the changes we spotted.

The topiaries and flowers are beginning to make their appearance.  Figment was put in place behind Spaceship Earth  for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts with primarily a purple bed of flowers.  He now has a fresh new bed of flowers around him in a wide variety of colors along with some large plastic lavender accent flowers.

Some of the other topiaries that are already on display are Phineas and Ferb along the walkway between Future World and World Showcase, Anna and Elsa in Norway, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Germany, and Belle and Beast can be found in France.  There are magnificent pots of flowers along the walkways as well that are likely going to be part of additional displays.

The Outdoor Kitchens are being prepared around the primary walkway of Epcot’s World Showcase.

The flower and butterfly patterns around the pond are colorful and the children’s playground areas are really taking shape.

The process of switching from one festival to the next is still a work in progress.  We look forward to seeing the areas come to life when Epcot’s transformation for its 24th annual International Flower & Garden Festival is completed on March 1st for opening day.

Will you be attending Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival this year?  Please leave your comments in the box below.
