This All That and a Bag of Disney Chips Shirt is Awesome

Disney Chips Shirt

I love shirts with clever designs, or amusing puns. This All That and a Bag of Disney Chips Shirt from OnceUponaTeeShirt on Etsy, has a clever design that is also an amusing pun!

This original design features a bag, with an image of Chip from Chip n’ Dale and Chip from Beauty and the Beast inside. The “magazine style” lettering is very fun, with a beautiful light blue color that matches the design on Chip the teacup’s bottom. The tee is available in white only, to make sure the design stands out beautifully, and comes in sizes XS to 2XL. Of course they have some other fun designs available you can check out too!

Do you enjoy a clever Disney shirt like the All That and a Bag of Disney Chips Shirt as much as I do?

Adorable Pastel Parade Easter Basket Tsum Tsum Glitter Set

Easter Basket Tsum Tsum Glitter Set

I’m loving all of the adorable Tsum Tsum Pastel Parade vinyl figures that have been popping up for Spring and Easter. I didn’t think anything could get better than my cute Pastel Parade Candy Box setAdorable Pastel Parade Easter Basket Tsum Tsum Glitter Set, but all know what makes everything better, GLITTER! So the Pastel Parade Easter Basket Tsum Tsum Glitter SetAdorable Pastel Parade Easter Basket Tsum Tsum Glitter Set might take the trophy.

This super adorable set comes with 6 medium pastel parade Tsum Tsum characters. What sets this set apart from the candy box, and mystery packs however, is the glitter! Each charming little vinyl figure is dappled in a sprinkling of sparkles. I love that Tinkerbell is included in the glitter set, because who else better to give a dash of pixie dust to? Winnie the Pooh is also included in this set along with the Candy box, and the golden rare in the mystery packs. So he’ll be a fun one to stack, a pastel large, a golden one, and a glitter one!

The Easter Basket packaging makes this an adorable one to collect, add to a basket, or even give on it’s own as a gift. I think I’m getting Tsum Tsum things for all the kids baskets, because I secretly want them all for me! *Hint* *Hint* to the Hubby, mommy wants an Easter Basket this year. It might work, right? I honestly can’t get enough of the colorful Pastel Parade collection Disney Tsum Tsum has launched this spring!

Changes Coming Soon to Magic Kingdom Security Check Points

Changes Coming Soon to Magic Kingdom Security Check Points

Rumors have been circulating about the changes to security patterns for the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom entrance.  It does appear that changes are coming sooner, rather than later, to the current Magic Kingdom checkpoints.  Temporary tent structures have been appearing at the Resort Bus Loop, to the right of the exit for the Ferryboats.

As you enter and exit the Magic Kingdom to and from the Resort Bus Loop you will pass under a series of temporary tent structures. The Security Checkpoints are still currently located at the very entrance to the Magic Kingdom.  One word of note here is that you no longer exit the Ferryboats from this point as was the case in the past.

Prior to this change, you would exit from the Ferryboats to the right side, thus intersecting with the foot traffic from the Busses.  Now you enter, and exit, from the same location.  As you exit the Ferryboats, you now veer left to the main walkway towards the Magic Kingdom. You then stay to the left of the walkway as you pass under the Ferryboat sign and head to the Security Checkpoints.  When you enter the queue for the Ferryboats, you enter from the left and head towards the waiting area for the Ferryboats.  The Resort Boats will also have their own Security Check Points prior to entering the Magic Kingdom.

You may be wondering what this means for people travelling from the Transportation and Ticket Center.  We recently experienced a wait for the Ferryboat while an Officer went aboard with his dog.  They walked both levels of the Ferryboat and when they exited, we were allowed to board.  This is a wonderful security feature that gave us peace of mind.

We see the benefits of screenings taking place prior to boarding the Ferryboats and Monorails.  While there is no sign of security changes to the Transportation and Ticket Center to date, we are hearing that guests will soon be screened at the Transportation and Ticket Center prior to boarding the Monorails and the Ferryboats.  Disney has not released any official information regarding these possible adjustments.  Be prepared for these changes to begin as early as the weekend of April 1st-2nd, or shortly thereafter.

What do you think of the possible changes pending with Security Checkpoints for the Magic Kingdom?  Please leave your comments in the box below.

Disney Chief Bob Iger: Carrie Fisher’s ‘Last Jedi’ Role Won’t Be Changed

Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher

The Last Jedi”, the eighth Star Wars episode, won’t be in theaters for another six months, but Disney is already mapping out what comes after Episode IX, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“When we bought Lucasfilm, we were going to make three films — Episodes VII, VIII and IX,” CEO Bob Iger said Thursday at a tech and entertainment conference in Santa Monica, Calif. “We’re starting talk about what could happen after Episode IX. About what could be another decade-and-a-half of Star Wars stories.”

He then addressed the ghost in the room: How Last Jedi will be affected by the December death of franchise star Carrie Fisher, who will be honored at a public memorial service Saturday, along with her mother, Debbie Reynolds.

“We had to deal with tragedy at the end of 2016,” he acknowledged, before asserting, “Carrie appears throughout VIII. We are not changing VIII to deal with her passing. Her performance remains as it is in VIII. In Rogue One, we had some digital (characters). We are not doing that with Carrie.”

Iger also spilled a few details about the stand-alone Han Solo film. He shared that the film will encompass the future rebel’s life from age 18 to 24. Audiences will also see Alden Ehrenreich’s Han first lay eyes upon his beloved Millennium Falcon and the origin of his friendship with Chewbacca (now played by Joonas Suotamo).

Fans will even be able to hop in the cockpit and take the Falcon for a virtual “joyride” thanks to Star Wars Lands at both of Disney’s U.S. theme parks.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters Dec. 15 this year, and the as-yet untitled Han Solo film will open on May 25, 2018.

Epcot’s EGGstravaganza Takes You On A Easter Egg Hunt Around The World

Epcot's EGGstravaganza Takes You On A Easter Egg Hunt Around The World

Spring Egg Hunting brings back fond childhood memories for many of us.  Even if you do not celebrate Easter, an egg hunt is so much fun to do as a family.  Epcot’s EGGstravaganza will take you on a spectacular Disney-style egg hunt around the World Showcase.

Maps can be purchased from Pin Traders in Epcot’s Future World, or at the Disney Traders shop, in the Port of Entry area for Epcot’s World Showcase.  The cost for the map is $5.99 plus tax.  The object of the hunt is to visit each country around the World Showcase in search of a giant Disney Character Egg, placed strategically, somewhere within that country.  Some eggs are indoors and some are outdoors.  We can assure you that it was a bit challenging in a few of the countries this year!  We were also told that it is possible for the eggs to “move” from one week to the next.  Once you have identified the hidden egg for that country, place the appropriate sticker in the designated space on your map for that country.

Once you have identified all of the hidden eggs, bring your completed map to the Redemption Location, inside Disney Traders, to claim your prize.  You can choose from a variety of Character Eggs.  One egg choice for each completed map.

Are you ready for an Egg Hunt around the World?  We cannot think of a better place for an egg hunt than the Walt Disney World Resort.  Epcot’s EGGstravaganza is a great way to explore the World Showcase and learn something about other countries while enjoying some quality time with family and friends.

Will you be experiencing Epcot’s EGGstravaganza this Spring?  Please leave our comments in the box below.

Enchanting Review – the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

Enchanting Review - the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

Last week I headed over to the parks to partake more in California Adventures Food & Wine festival, but also to give the Red Rose Taverne a shot. I do love it when new things pop up in Disneyland, and I always have to try!

First things, yes the rumors are true, the line is crazy-town long. I popped over around 2:30 or 3pm hoping to have missed the lunch crowd, but alas that wasn’t the case. It was a Sunday, so maybe that had something to do with it. They were also very much out of the rose cups, but I didn’t expect there to be any at that time of day. To be honest, I didn’t see anyone in the parks with one either – so maybe they started the day without them.

Enchanting Review - the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

The branding of the Red Rose Taverne is spot on, but I am not surprised, it’s Disney! They don’t do anything halfway. It’s mildly reminiscent of the Village Haus (which it was before), but all the décor is “Beauty and the Beast” – from the stained glass door (which I wasn’t able to see because the line had it propped open), to the art on the walls.

Enchanting Review - the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

To the menu! I am one of those people who usually has to ask for an alternative menu, because I’m a vegetarian. But even before I set foot in the restaurant I checked out the menu online and was completely overjoyed that there was a good vegetarian option. Not just a typical “veggie patty” but actually vegetables. It’s the Enchanted Cauli-Flower Sandwich. A thick cut of cauliflower, battered green beans, lettuce and tomato – let me tell you it’s a mouth full. I highly recommend it, for any of you non-meat eaters out there. (Sorry I didn’t get pics of the food… We ate it).

Enchanting Review - the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

The complete opposite of any vegetarian choice is Beast’s Burger. It’s a good-sized patty, with slow cooked meat atop that – then the caramelized onions, cheese and lettuce. I got full just looking at it. My boyfriend seemed to enjoy it, as it was gone before too long!

Enchanting Review - the Red Rose Taverne in Disneyland

After the meal, there is an exit right into a Beauty and the Beast gift shop. Which is anymore, usual Disney style. It’s not very big, but it’s a nice place if you’re looking for anything B&tB specific.

The Red Rose Taverne is a pop-up, and as much as I enjoyed The Village Haus, I kinda hope this one sticks around for a while. I like the new options and am hoping to try the salads and the flatbreads. Since this location is the only eatery in Fantasyland, maybe they could find a place to fit Red Rose along with Village Haus – we could also use more breakfast places in Disneyland (hint hint!).

End result – go try Red Rose Taverne! For a grab and go, counter service restaurant it’s worth the visit!! Have you tried The Red Rose Taverne? What did you think?

Bonus pic!! While in California Adventure we spotted these rose cake pops at Trolley Treats. I thought this would be a good place to share them with you!

Another Restaurant to Undergo Major Refurbishment at Disney Springs

Disney Springs

Disney Springs

Paddlefish, formerly Fulton’s Crab House, just reopened from a major refurbishment and now it’s Portobello’s turn. News coming out of Walt Disney World is that Portobello will be closing after dinner service on April 23rd, 2017 and will not reopen until Fall 2017.

When the updated restaurant reopens, it will feature an authentic Italian concept, including a family-style menu along with craft beers and wines. The new menu will be developed by James Beard Award-winner Chef, Tony Mantuano. Mantuano currently owns several dining establishments in Chicago, Illinois.

Portobello and Paddlefish are both owned by Levy Restaurants and are side-by-side in The Landing at Disney Springs.
