Captain Jack Sparrow Finally Added to “Pirates of the Caribbean” at Disneyland Paris

Jack Sparrow fans will have a lot to be excited about when “Pirates of the Caribbean” reopens at Disneyland Paris this summer.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary at Disneyland Paris, the legendary attraction will reopen its doors on July 24th with 2 scenes including Jack Sparrow appearing in several of its unforgettable sequences for the first time in Europe. and that’s not all, “Pirates of the Caribbean” is set to receive brand new latest-generation audio-animatronics, to give your favorite pirates a more lifelike effect.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World added Captain Jack Sparrow to the popular attraction in 2006, after the success of the blockbuster films starring Johnny Depp. This left the Disneyland Paris the only park to have the attraction in its original form.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” sails into theaters in the United States on May 26 and May 24 – 26 in Europe.

ABC Unveils 2017-18 Primetime Schedule

ABC continues its commitment to distinctive storytelling with the announcement of its 2017-18 slate of programming. Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, will unveil the network’s new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall in New York City.

“I’m very proud of this year’s slate of series at ABC. We’ve focused on some of the universal themes that unite us – exciting stories, relevant dramas, and of course, lots of laughs. Our goal is to focus on the unique points of view of our show creators, but make shows that have broad appeal,” said Dungey.

Ranking No. 1 for the 2016-17 season in Nielsen’s non-sports Adult 18-49 averages (tie), ABC claimed a network-leading 9 of the Top 20 entertainment series on broadcast TV, delivering 5 of the Top 10: “Grey’s Anatomy” (3.3 rating) – No. 4, “The Bachelor” (3.1 rating) – No. 5, “Designated Survivor” (2.9 rating) and “Modern Family” (2.9 rating) tie at No. 7, “How to Get Away with Murder” (2.6 rating) – No. 10, “Scandal” (2.4 rating) – No. 13, while “The Goldbergs” (2.1 rating), “DWTS” (2.1 rating) and “black-ish” (2.1 rating) tie at No. 19. In addition, the Network delivered 6 of the Top 10 comedies for the season and 3 of the Top 5 dramas. ABC once again dominated among advertiser-coveted upscale viewers with 9 of the season’s Top 15 highest-rated broadcast entertainment series among Adults 18-49 in Homes earning $100k+ Annual Income.

Mobile Order Launches May 27 for Pandora – The World of Avatar – Expanding Locations This Summer

As we have shared with you, Mobile Order will launch on May 27 at Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar. Today Disney shared the good news that other Animal Kingdom locations will add Mobile Order as well. Mobile Order will expand to include Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue and Restaurantosaurus sometime during the summer. In addition to these locations, it looks like Disney has plans to add more Mobile Order to fast casual and quick service locations across Walt Disney World. This is welcomed news for anyone who has had to stand in long, crowded lines waiting to order a meal.

Mobile Order promises to be easy to use. After you’ve placed your order and pre-pay in the app, and arrive at Satu’li Canteen, you’ll just tap the “I’m here” button to notify the kitchen to prepare your meal. When ready, you will be alerted through the app to pick up your meal at the designated window with the Mobile Order pick up sign.

It is important to note that during the initial launch period of Mobile Order, the only form of payment accepted will be by credit card. Anyone with special dietary restrictions, or those who want to use discounts or redeem dining plan entitlements must place their order with a cashier.

Here’s a look at some of the items that will available with Mobile Order at Satu’li Canteen beginning May 27:

Create-Your-Own Satu’li Bowl – Customize entrées by choosing from wood-grilled chicken or beef, sustainable fish, or chili-spiced fried tofu. Quinoa and vegetable salad, red and sweet potato hash, mixed whole grain and rice, or romaine and kale salad accompany the selected protein, which is topped with a choice of charred onion chimichurri, black bean vinaigrette, or creamy herb dressing. The options available for the Create-Your-Own Satu’li Bowl allow for 48 different bowl combinations.
Steamed “pods” — bao buns — filled with either cheeseburger or vegetable curry are served with root vegetable chips and crunchy vegetable slaw. (The Na’vi call any food wrapped in dough a “pod.”)
Dessert “Ber’ri” selections are Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse served with Passion Fruit Curd or Chocolate Cake with a Crunchy Cookie Layer, Banana Cream, and Goji Berries.
Fresh and fun options for kids: Choice of chopped wood-grilled chicken, beef, fish, or tofu with greens or rice; Teylu Hot Dog wrapped in Parker House dough; cheese quesadilla or a steamed “pod” (cheeseburger bao bun). “Teylu” is a small worm-like creature that is often cooked on a stick and is one of the Na’vi’s main protein sources. The hot dog wrapped in dough resembles a Teylu.
Try a refreshing beverage at Satu’li Canteen: Pandoran Sunrise, with optional Na’vi Flute Cup, Hawkes’ Grog Ale or Mo’ara High Country Ale.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Other Attractions Closed for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Amended: After we went to print with the article below, Disney announced that they made amendments to their attraction list for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train would be open as well as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We hope you are as excited as we are about giving all of these spectacular attractions a ride during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Details are starting to surface this week regarding attractions and events that will be available as part of this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. However in a move that is sure to be controversial with party-goers it would appear that a few of Magic Kingdom’s headlining attractions are notably missing from the list of rides due to remain open. This includes the hugely popular – Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

In a post appearing on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, a guest asks whether the Mine Train will be running during the Halloween Party and the answer given is “no.”* The list of rides to stay open are as follows:

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Pirates of the Caribbean
Swiss Family Treehouse
A Pirate’s Adventure- Treasures of the Seven Seas
Country Bear Jamboree
Haunted Mansion
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
“It’s a small world”
Peter Pan’s Flight
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mad Tea Party
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
The Barnstormer
Astro Orbiter
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Space Mountain
Tomorrowland Speedway
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
Monters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

With the exception of Space Mountain and The Barnstormer, Disney’s other three coasters will not be open for the party. The list does not include Splash Mountain (which is expected to be under refurbishment at this time) and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, in a move that may leave many thrill-seekers sadly disappointed.

A new itinerary of Iceland has also been added to the many countries guests can now explore. Hong Kong Disneyland’s Newest Resort Wilderness Explorers Lodge Now Open

For those following along with the latest happenings over at Hong Kong Disneyland, you’ll be pleased to know that the property officially announced the opening of its latest resort property, Disney Explorers Lodge.

From the images recently released, the Explorers Lodge would appear to be an interesting mix of other much-loved Disney resorts combining elements from Wilderness Lodge, Aulani, Polynesian Village Resort and Animal Kingdom Lodge among others to create a 750 room hotel that celebrates the spirit of exploration.

The story behind the Lodge is that it takes place in the grand era of exploration and is a showcase for the explorers who built the lodge to share their around-the-word adventures. This includes souvenirs from their travels to an African Savannah, a South American Rainforest, a Polynesian island and an area inspired by the natural beauty of Asia.

Characters also play a huge role at Disney Explorers Lodge where guests will find outdoor gardens themed after favorite Disney and Disney•Pixar characters including those from “Finding Nemo”, “The Jungle Book”, “The Lion King” and “Up”.

The opening of this spectacular new resort sees Hong Kong Disneyland going from strength to strength. Earlier this year the Iron Man Experience began wowing crowds and it was recently announced that an upcoming expansion would bring more Marvel characters as well as those from “Frozen” into the park.

You can get this in three different sizes, all of them a considerably good size. It even comes in over 15 different color options! I love the different choices to account for different wall colors. If you have dark walls, black won’t show up well, so the option for white or a lighter color is perfect. You can also put them on doors or mirrors if you like. The We Do Disney wall decal will add flare and design to your home. It is made in the USA with the highest quality, interior vinyl. The decals include a transfer tape on top for easy installation. If you ever need to remove it (it is not re-usable) use a blow drier to heat up the vinyl and peel it off slowly at a 180-degree angle. The vinyl also has a matte finish for that hand painted look.

It’s not secret that I am absolutely obsessed with Mickey Balloons! Not only does “my son” get one every time we visit Walt Disney World, I love to collect jewelry and pins that pay homage to the iconic balloon. Of course when I saw these handmade Disney Character Balloon Pins by CraftyMermaidCove on Etsy, I squealed in absolute delight.

These pins are a super adorable way to show your DisneySide! There are plenty of characters to choose from and each one comes with a hand-bent balloon wire to give it that extra something!
