Cars 3 MagicBand and More Cruising into Disney Parks This Summer

Disney-Pixar’s “Cars 3” is revving into theaters on June 16. To celebrate the upcoming release, Disney is releasing a new Cars 3 MagicBand as well as other exclusive Cars 3 products at the Disney Parks!

The limited edition Cars 3 MagicBand will have a release of 2,000. The band will launch on June 16th, the same day the movie will debut! It will come in a specially designed box, this Lightning McQueen-inspired design will have all of the MagicBand 2 features.

Great new shirt designs will be heading into Disney Parks as well! They feature bright colors, with a retro racer feel that really pops, and will be available in adults and kids varieties.

There are some new open edition pins zooming into town too! McQueen and Cruz rev up on the track, and Jackson Storm grits his teeth as he races for glory.

Plenty of die cast cars, playsets, and other “Cars”-themed toys will also be available. You can’t have a movie about awesome race cars with out having toy cars to play with! I’m loving the racer duo set, and Miss Fritter school bus.

Lots of other racer themed products will round out this collection featuring old and new characters alike. The beloved Doc Hudson is memorialized on a motor oil themed mug, and there is even a racer sponsor shirt to feel like you’re part of McQueen’s crew!

It’s never too early to start planning for Christmas! The Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland is coming back again this year and starting this morning reservations are open. This dessert party will give guests spectacular views of Holiday Wishes : Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks while dining on sweet treats. This event will be held on select nights from November 9 through December 22 at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. It will take place most nights during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Holiday themed treats will include cupcakes, chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate mousse, ice cream, cheeses and fresh, seasonal fruits and more. Guests can also enjoy sparkling cider, signature lemonades, specialty Christmas drinks, hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22

Party Details

Dessert Party Time – One hour prior to the Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks
$79 (plus tax) for guests ages 10+
$47 (plus tax) for guests ages 3 to 9
Guests who have purchased the Holiday Wishes Dessert Premium Package can check in beginning at 4:00 PM at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. Upon check-in, you will receive an official credential for event identification.
Valid admission ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is also required and not included in the price of this package.
Seating will be available at the dessert party on a first-come, first-served basis—though every table features views of Cinderella Castle.
In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks may be delayed or canceled. However, the dessert party will occur regardless of weather conditions.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Featurette Will Run at Beginning of Pixar’s Coco When it Opens November 22nd

Frozen fans are in for a special treat this Thanksgiving as Disney• Pixar recently announced that a new Olaf-themed featurette will be running before Coco, the new Pixar musical set to be released in theaters this November.

Just like previous years, when packages are first released, you will only be able to book up to 499 days in advance. This means when rates go live on the morning of June 20, you will only be able to book trips with arrival dates from January 1, 2018 to about November 1, 2018.

All it takes is a $200 deposit to reserve your 2018 package! Then you have up until 30 days prior to your arrival date to pay off the balance.

New Pixar Shorts Are Coming To EPCOT

A few days ago I brought you the news that (beginning yesterday) the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival located in the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT would be closed for a one week refurbishment. It looks like the reason for this temporary closure is that two new Pixar shorts are replacing “La Luna” and “For the Birds”. No official announcement from Disney yet on what these two new shorts will be. It does look like “Get a Horse” will be sticking around though. Stay tuned for more details!

A New Quick Service and Lobby Bar Opening This Fall Will Complete Renovations at the Swan and Dolphin

Let’s take a look at the last phase of renovations taking place at the Dolphin.

The Swan and Dolphin Hotel at Walt Disney World has been going through a huge renovation, transforming guest rooms and meeting space at the Epcot area resort.

A new quick service location will offer coffee, snacks, and sandwiches. This is the perfect option for Disney guests who are looking to eat and run.

Guests at the Dolphin will notice an all new look with modern decor and lighting throughout the lobby. However, you will be happy to know the original fountain will remain!

There are also plans for a new bar and lounge area, giving guests a beautiful space to unwind. These three redesigned areas will create almost double the seating area for guests at the resort.

This last phase of renovations is expected to be complete this fall.

Well, American Idol fans I am here to bring you some more exciting news! ABC’s American Idol auditions are hitting the road and headed to a city near you!

Exactly fifteen years ago, “American Idol” hit TV screens for the first time, forever changing the landscape of reality competition programming. In celebration of the franchise’s anniversary, which also marks the birth year of this season’s youngest eligible contestant, the producers of “American Idol” announced today the start of auditions for the new season of the show, which will be broadcast from its new home on ABC. The nationwide search for the next superstar kicks off on THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, as the Idol Bus jumps into gear across America, offering hopefuls the chance to audition for a shot at superstardom.

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m totally obsessed with Disney snacks and Mickey foods. So obviously I had mini squeal attack when I saw these totally adorable and scrumptious looking Disney Snack Jewelry Charms by SugahNSpice on Etsy!

These tiny little trinkets resemble different Disney inspired snacks, with lobster clasps. You can use them for charm bracelets, hooking on key chains, zipper pulls, purse charms, you name it! The charms are handmade out of plastic and sprayed with an acrylic coating to protect their color for years to come. The image is on both sides of the yummy looking charms. You can choose from a Mickey Pants Sundae, Mickey Waffle, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, Dole Whip, or Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich. All are beloved treats, so I don’t think I could choose between them!

Disneyland’s New Circle D Ranch Opens

When construction began on the new Star Wars Land coming to Disneyland in 2019, it caused the park’s Circle D Ranch to have to come to a close. This leading to the park’s horses having to find a new home. It was then decided the horses would be getting a new home about 30 miles away from the park in Norco, CA at a brand new Circle D Ranch. Norco is know as “Horsetown USA.”

Fast forward to this past Saturday, June 10, the official ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new Circle D Ranch facility. Many guests were on hand for the ceremony including Mickey Mouse himself!

The new Ranch is double in size compared to the old Ranch and also features the most up-to-date technology. There is enough space for up to 18 horses to live, roam, and play. Of the 18 horses, 4 will be at Disneyland for “work” three to four times a week. When the horses are on property, they will be housed in a smaller facility backstage.
