Couples can set sail on a happily-ever-after voyage with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings aboard Disney Cruise Line. An ultimate romantic adventure awaits couples looking for the perfect venue to tie the knot or renew their vows and embark on the honeymoon of a lifetime with Disney Cruise Line.
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings
Whether saying “I do” for the first time or renewing their commitment, Disney Cruise Line provides a setting like none other. Couples can exchange vows in a ceremony onboard the ship or step ashore for a romantic beach-side ceremony on Disney’s private island paradise, Castaway Cay.
Onboard locations include Outlook on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, a sophisticated private party space with ocean views; Keys on the Disney Magic, an elegant Art Deco piano bar and lounge; and Deck 7 Aft on the Disney Wonder, a secluded deck at the aft of the ship looking seaward. The pristine white sand of Castaway Cay is the perfect backdrop for a breathtaking ceremony onshore.
A magical fairy godmother, aka a Disney Wedding Planner, takes care of all the details for a dream-come-true affair. Once the duo picks a date, the planner helps with arrangements such as selecting a cake, music, menu and décor.
Traditional and tropical floral arrangements are designed as part of the Cruise Wedding Collection by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. Offerings include a classic look of French roses, a tropical bouquet accented with orchids and a stylish bunch of calla lilies, among others. Following the ceremony, the wedding party can relax with their guests and enjoy a cake cutting and Champagne toast.
Honeymoon in Paradise
Disney Cruise Line offers the ultimate honeymoon vacation with beautiful destinations and adult-exclusive experiences onboard and ashore. From fine dining and relaxing spa treatments to unparalleled entertainment and spaces just for adults, a Disney couples’ cruise is the perfect romantic getaway.
Disney Cruise Line’s signature specialty restaurant, Palo, and Remy on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream combine sweeping ocean views, rich décor and epicurean excellence to create the setting for a romantic escape. Elaborate brunch and dinner experiences are among the culinary offerings at these sophisticated, adult-only dining concepts.
Senses Spa & Salon provides pampering in a tranquil and luxurious environment. A menu of spa treatments and services such as massages, body wraps, facials, manicures, pedicures and hair styling are available. In the spa’s Rainforest Room, adult guests can experience the benefits of steam, heat and water therapy combined with the power of aromatherapy to relax the mind and body.
Newlyweds can indulge in a couple’s massage in a Spa Villa complete with an indoor spa treatment suite, connected to a private outdoor verandah with personal hot tub, open-air shower and chaise lounge. With incredible ocean vistas, the treatment suites provide a romantic retreat for two.
The area around Quiet Cove Pool for adults features chaise lounges for sunbathing, a whirlpool spa and a poolside bar serving exotic cocktails. At Satellite Sun Deck on the Disney Fantasy, adult guests can soak up the sun in loungers, relax in the shade under a canopy and sit on the bench around a circular splash pool with a gently falling rain curtain.
The nightclubs at Europa (Disney Fantasy), The District (Disney Dream) and After Hours (Disney Magic, Disney Wonder) offer nighttime entertainment just for adults. Sophisticated bars and lounges, casual pubs and trendy clubs give couples the chance to enjoy live nighttime entertainment, cabaret shows, game shows, dancing and more.
On Castaway Cay, Serenity Bay is a pristine stretch of beach exclusively for adults located almost a mile from the main family beach. Premium private cabanas, comfortable lounge chairs and two-person hammocks dot the beach. For the ultimate in relaxation, newlyweds can enjoy a therapeutic massage at one of the massage cabanas overlooking the ocean. And there is no need to head back to the main beach for refreshment – a delectable lunch buffet, Bahamian specialty drinks, beer and mixed drinks are served at the nearby Castaway Air Bar.
With Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, couples can combine matrimony with a tropical adventure – and enjoy the world-class services of Disney Cruise Line. Land/sea vacation packages that include a stay at Walt Disney World Resort provide the ultimate Disney vacation experience.
Weddings begin at $3,000 for onboard and $4,000 for Castaway Cay, plus cruise costs. Wedding package price includes ceremony, officiant, floral, music and a cake and Champagne celebration. For more information, visit disneyweddings.com/cruise.

With creatively themed lodging options including a dazzling Manhattan-style hotel, a New England seaside resort of the 1900s and a colorful town from America’s Old West, the hotels of Disneyland Paris offer something for every taste and budget – from “value” to “deluxe”.
Each of the hotels at Disneyland Paris is themed to tell a story – of adventure, romance or elegance in another time and place. Each has its own distinctive architecture and design. And each offers comfort and convenience for guests of the Resort.
There are six Disneyland Paris hotels plus the large Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch wilderness retreat. The Victorian elegance of the luxury-class Disneyland Hotel, the relaxed woodland setting of the moderate Disney’s Sequoia Lodge and the American Southwest atmosphere of the value Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, are just a few of the options.
In 2011, at the dawn of its 20th Anniversary celebration, Disneyland Paris wanted to restore all the magic to its seven themed hotels and launched a major renovation project for its 5,800 rooms, spanning several years. Disneyland Paris has put its heart into being able to offer its guests an unrivalled experience.
Some of the first renovation works to be carried out were at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, which now includes a whole new superior level of accommodation in the Golden Forest Club; also at Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, now themed around the famous Route 66 and featuring designs inspired by the Disney Pixar animated filmCars. Guests already seem to love the recent renovations with increased results in the satisfaction surveys for both hotels.
Disney’s Newport Bay Club has undergone the most extensive refurbishment in the history of Disneyland Paris. Quality and comfort levels have been improved and the 1,100 rooms redecorated to reflect the hotel’s nautical theme. The new Compass Club, with its Luxury Suites and exclusive Lounge, offers exclusive advantages to our Guests. The Yacht Club restaurant reopened in December of 2015, with a redesigned menu inspired by the cuisine of New England with Mediterranean influences.
Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne just received a magical overhaul and completely re-opened to guests earlier in 2017.
A preview of Hotel New York – Art of Marvel coming in 2020
Disneyland Hotel (Prestige deluxe hotel)
This majestic Victorian-inspired hotel built over the entrance of Disneyland Park is the ultimate Disney hospitality experience, offering guests a return to the days of grand hotels and opulent lifestyles.
It has 496 luxurious rooms, including The Castle Club on two privatised floors with 18 suites and 51 rooms. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and a fitness room with sauna and steam room. The luxurious Disneyland Hotel also treats its guests with an elegant and state-of-the- art spa: The Celestia Spa offers hotel guests the ultimate choice in beauty treatments to enhance wellbeing, inner peace and happiness.
The hotel has two restaurants, both overlooking Main Street, U.S.A.: the buffet restaurant Inventions, and the California Grill table-service restaurant, serving a colourful reinterpretation of Californian cuisine, including original and refined signature dishes.
Guests can have dinner at Inventions in the dazzling company of guest stars, the Disney Characters, who are also present during the hotel’s traditional Sunday brunches.
The hotel has a cocktail bar, Café Fantasia, with décor inspired by the 1940 Disney Classic Fantasia. It also has a boutique featuring Disneyland Paris merchandise as well as luxury and collector’s items, a children’s play area, video and arcade games, free Wi-Fi internet connection, 24-hour room service and valet parking. The Disneyland Hotel is also a unique and magical place where every little girl can become a Disney Princess for a Day with a Princess’ make-up and hair-styling session.
Disney’s Hotel New York (Deluxe hotel)
Designed by noted architect Michael Graves, Disney’s New York Hotel resembles a stylized version of the Manhattan skyline and the exclusive homes and apartments of New York’s fashionable East Side. The interior design of Disney’s Hotel New York reflects the Art Deco style of 1930s America and the Pop-Art culture of the 1970s. It includes witty visual references to “the great American pastime” of baseball, and to New York’s reputation as “The Big Apple”. In the deluxe 565-room hotel, the Empire State Club offers 58 premium rooms and suites located on the 6, 7 & 8th floors, and the private Empire State Lounge. Amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools (weather permitting), an eco-friendly seasonal open-air skating rink reminiscent of Rockefeller Center at the Hotel’s lakeside entrance, floodlit outdoor tennis courts, a health club with exercise room, steam room and sauna, whirlpool, video games room, 24-hour room service, baby-sitting service, free Wi-Fi internet connection and concierge. The hotel has a chic bar, the New York City Bar and two restaurants: the Parkside Diner is an international buffet, while the table-service Manhattan Restaurant serves cosmopolitan gourmet food in a circular upscale dining room reminiscent of New York’s jazz clubs of the 1930s. The elegance follows through to the 5,000m² New York Coliseum Convention Center, reached by way of a corridor modeled on the Manhattan subway. The Convention Center has two fully equipped conference halls and 55 meeting rooms.
Pool area at Disney’s Newport Bay Club
Disney’s Newport Bay Club (Mid-range hotel)
A tribute by architect Robert A.M. Stern to the elegant seaside homes of New England at the turn of the 20th century, Disney’s Newport Bay Club has the aspect of a sailing club, with a large veranda, slate roofs and brightly striped awnings. The lakefront hotel has 1,100-rooms, decorated to reflect the hotel’s nautical theme, and including the premium Compass Club, comprising rooms and suites, and offering exclusive services such as a private and personalised check-in, luggage service and a private Lounge. Amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools; a health club with sauna, whirlpool and fitness equipment; and free Wi-Fi internet connection.
The hotel has a themed bar, the Captain’s Quarters, and two restaurants: the Cape Cod restaurant featuring an international buffet, and the table-service Yacht Club restaurant, a warm, elegant and contemporary dining space, serving cuisine inspired by New England with Mediterranean influences, and featuring modern signature dishes. Younger Guests can also create their own dessert in a special events space.
Disney’s Sequoia Lodge (Mid-range hotel)
French architect Antoine Grumbach was inspired by the Arts and Crafts-style lodges of American national parks for his design of Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, which features stone and wood accents, parquet floors and a gigantic chimney. Surrounded by giant sequoias and other beautifully themed landscaping, the hotel has 1,011 rooms, some in independent buildings called Lodges. 124 rooms and suites in the Main Building form the premium Golden Forest Club, which offers exclusive services such as a private and personalised check-in, luggage service and private lounge. Facilities include an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a health club with sauna, free Wi-Fi internet connection, children’s corner and the Redwood Bar and Lounge which features a huge stone chimney. Dining is buffet style in the Hunter’s Grill restaurant.
Cars-theming at Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe
Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne (Value hotel)
Imagine waking up in the Wild West, just like the setting of a Western movie! The Hollywood image of the American cowboy inspired Robert A.M. Stern’s design for Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne. The hotel features streets lined with boardwalks and two-storey wooden buildings named after famous Old West personalities like Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok, as well as landmarks like the blacksmith’s shop, the boarding house and the laundry. The 1,000-room hotel is popular for families with children. Amenities reflect the cowboy movie theme: there’s a children’s play area (seasonal) in a mini pioneer fort, an Indian village, pony rides (seasonal), the Red Garter Saloon and the Chuck Wagon Café with western-style fare. Facilities also include free Wi-Fi internet connection (lobby and bar).
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe (Value hotel)
Architect Antoine Predock’s roots in his native New Mexico are clearly on display in his design for this desert-themed 1,000-room hotel. It salutes the dawn of the “family drive” era of the mid-20th Century, when Americans took to the road and set off to discover their country. Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe resembles a stop on Route 66 in the American Southwest, with adobe-style pueblos and, at the entrance, a drive-in theatre screen permanently displaying Flash McQueen & Sally, heroes of the Disney•Pixar film Cars. The hotel features La Cantina, a restaurant with an all-you-can-eat buffet offering European and Mexican specialities, and the Rio Grande Bar. Facilities also include video games at the Pow Wow Game Room, and free Wi-Fi internet connection (lobby, bar and rooms).
Davy Crockett Ranch
Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch (Home away from home)
Nestled in 57 hectares of forest and designed like a frontier “trapper village”, Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch is a self-drive destination. It is for guests in search of relaxation in a wilderness retreat. Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch features 584 equipped log-style cabins that accommodate up to six. Just 15 minutes drive from the Disney Parks and Disney Village, the retreat features a general store, a saloon and Crockett’s Tavern for family dining – or you can cook your own meals in your cabin or on the barbecue. An indoor swimming pool with a waterfall and slide, and a tennis court make the Ranch an ideal family getaway. The Ranch also features Davy Crockett Adventure, an exploration trail featuring swings, trapezes, rope bridges and ladders. Guests have free access to Guest Parking at the Disney Parks. Facilities also include free Wi-Fi internet connection (bar and reception).

Favorite spots for outdoor dining: The terrace at Wine Country Trattoria, the patio at Carthay Circle Restaurant and the back patio at Flo’s V-8 Cafe in Cars Land, all at Disney California Adventure Park; Carnation Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A., the front porch of Plaza Inn and River Belle Terrace (where we’re told Walt Disney used to have breakfast on Sunday mornings), all in Disneyland Park; the terrace at Napa Rose, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa; Uva Bar, Downtown Disney District.
How to order kosher meals: Kosher meals are available at most table-service restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. A 24-hour notice is required, and the meals are purchased from an outside vendor. Guests also may bring their own preferred kosher products.

Tops for families: Gather round the table for breakfast or dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel, where the Disney characters will have you dancing, or Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park, with twinkling lights and a magical ambience. Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa spurs family conversation with beautiful wall murals that depict tall tales set in the Golden State’s early days.
Grown-ups’ night out: For an evening without the kids, favorites include Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Steakhouse 55, at the Disneyland Hotel.
Best place to grab a quick sandwich: Cozy Cone Motel, Disney California Adventure Park; Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and Hungry Bear in Disneyland Park; Earl of Sandwich or La Brea Bakery at Downtown Disney District.
Outstanding wine list: Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers a selection of 80 wines by the glass from an award-winning list of more than 450 international wines (80 percent Californian) and a 17,000-bottle cellar.

‘Mary Poppins Returns’, which releases Christmas day in 2018, has made USA Today’s list for the Top 10 Must-See movies of 2018. They also debuted this new picture from the movie.
“Emily Blunt acknowledges that it’s hard to put in words what it’s like to play author P.L. Travers’ iconic nanny, though “joyful” and “utterly magical” do come up in conversation. Julie Andrews played the role in 1964 and the flying umbrella passes to Blunt for a sequel set in 1930s Depression-era London, where Poppins revisits a now-grown Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane Banks (Emily Mortimer) when their family needs her again. Back in the day, a spoonful of sugar helped the medicine go down, but Blunt’s Poppins hews more to Travers’ literary character. “I just loved how eccentric and wacky she is in the books — incredibly vain and rude to the children,” Blunt says. “As a British person, I really responded to that lack of saccharine relationships. I find it comforting the idea of someone just sweeping in who’s no-nonsense and cleaning everything up and making everything right again in a magical way that’s not sentimental.”” -USA Today

As we reported at Chip and Co. earlier this month, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be replacing its “Flight of Wonder” bird show with a new offering that combines the show’s emphasis these remarkable feathered friends with characters from Disney•Pixar’s “UP.”
Today, we’re finding out a bit more about this new offering via a Casting Call that was posted on Disney Parks Live Entertainment. The role being advertised is Anika, a woman who lives in Anandapur Indian village and looks after birds in her caravan aviary. Disney describes Anika as a free-spirit and the storyteller in her family. She is noted for her colorful and expressive movement and language as well as her playful nature.
The new show will offer guests a chance to see Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his trusted companion Dug as they discover species of birds from around the world. The existing Flights of Wonder show will make its final performance on December 31, 2017. No details have been given as of yet regarding the opening date of this new and exciting Disney offering but it is expected to start running in the Spring of 2018.
Keep following along with Chip and Co. for the latest in Walt Disney World news and updates.

Brad Kaye, the principal art director for Disney Parks Live Entertainment has been a fan of the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena since his childhood and has even designed two Disneyland Resort floats for the iconic Rose Parade. This year, Disney is pleased to announce that Kaye will be in the judge’s seat as one of three float judges at the 129th Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.
Kaye had the following to say about this amazing honor, “Having watched the Rose Parade growing up, and even going with my family and friends, I always admired the design and art that went into making the floats.” He added, “Then having been fortunate enough to design the Disneyland Resort floats in 2006 and 2013, I really got an understanding of the craftsmanship that the amazing teams of volunteers and scene shops do to pull it all together. Now as a judge, it will be very exciting to see them all up close in the final days of assembly and really be able to applaud all the teams’ efforts.”
Brad has a brilliant history with Disney Parks Live Entertanment where his past accomplishments include designing for parades and spectaculars such as “Under the Sea” at Tokyo DisneySea, “Block Party Bash” at Disney California Adventure, the Halloween parades for both Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland, “Tangled and “Aladdin” shows on Disney Cruise Line and Disney-themed floats in Shanghai Tourism and Festival parades.
You won’t want to miss your chance to see Brad in the judge’s seat along with the amazing floats when the 129th Rose Parade is broadcast live on January 1, 2018 on ABC beginning at 8am PST.

Today we had the opportunity to go and check out the amazing new Pizza Ponte at Disney Springs.
Pizza Ponte
Now Open!
Menu
This pizzeria is apart of the soon-to-come Maria and Enzo’s restaurants, located directly beside the highly anticipated Edison location. As you walk through the door of Pizza Ponte, you are first delighted by old photographs of stunning people, who I presumed to be Maria, Enzo, and their family. It gives this mostly-modern decorated restaurant a hint of the nostalgic with a throwback to Art Deco styling, while combining old with new to create a bustling environment that you can see yourself visiting again and again. With the stunning view of Disney Springs, it’s definitely a place worth checking out.

Ready to go Italian treats!
As we came further into the entryway, we were greeted by very friendly cast members who instantly handed us menus while offering to answer any questions we may have had. Once through the entryway, we were enveloped by the smell of freshly baked dough, accented by the scent of perfectly roasted cheese and toppings, baking in a stunning, galley style kitchen with subway tiling, complete with a stainless-steel, truly Italian espresso machine, adding just a hint of the roasty coffee note into the air.
Though there was a short line, it moved quickly; the cast members are quick and helpful.
Mmmm, pizza!
So many options!
Meat or veggie?
Yum!
The pastry case is filled with beautiful creations that taste as amazing as they look; if it’s true that people eat first with their eyes, then this is truly a feast for the senses. You are greeted by several stunningly gorgeous varieties of pizza, all freshly baked in the pizza oven behind the counter. Pizza not your jam today? There are several Italian sandwiches and salads to choose from as well! There’s even a “cruffin” for those looking for a more adventurous pastry delight.

After perusing our options, including Italian sodas, wine and beers, candies, and ready-to-take treats, we decided on the Forest Mushrooms Pizza slice, Mistacanza salad, Pistachio and Mascarpone Parfait, a Cappuccino, and the Cioccolata (an Italian hot chocolate).
The Forest Mushroom Pizza is topped with cheese, mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes. As you take the first bite, you realize that this is no ordinary pizza; this is a true Italian masterpiece, worthy of its place alongside the genius of Michelangelo, Rafael, and Da Vinci. The Forest Mushroom pizza has a full flavor with a hint of olive oil. This pizza is a roasty delight, and one of the many vegetarian options at Pizza Ponte.
The Mistacanza Salad starts with a bed of mixed greens, topped with various crudité, including red and golden beets, Gorgonzola, candied walnuts, golden cherry tomatoes, red bell peppers, and a lemon vinaigrette. This salad looks and tastes like the flavors and quality that you would expect from a much higher end Italian eatery. There is a different salad available for all of the seafood lovers, that even comes with calamari!
The Pistachio and Mascarpone Parfait is truly a revelation. With subtle hints of pistachio delicately dancing alongside the creamy mascarpone, and highlighted by the bright hint of the strawberry ribbon in the middle, this is one dessert that is not to be missed! It wasn’t overly sweet, so that the true flavors could shine through. This may have made it onto my list of favorite desserts on Disney property. There is also a Nutella parfait that looked incredible!

Pretty & Pistachio!
The coffee choices, while somewhat limited, are made to perfection. The Cappuccino came with the perfect balance of half foam and half milk, accented by beautifully pulled espresso shots with a well-rounded flavor, and not overly bitter aftertaste. The Cioccolata is a semi-sweet hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream. While ours was missing the whipped cream, which we didn’t notice until later (whoops!), the flavor is delightful. It’s slightly lighter than a Starbucks Hot Chocolate but still less sweet than your more traditional grocery-store varieties. Yum! The hot beverages are well-priced and tasty, and a fun change from the daily picks.

Beautiful Espresso Machine!
Overall, Pizza Ponte is a fun environment, great for guests on the go, or those looking to pick up a quick meal. It has the ambiance of a family-owned pizzeria, with reasonable prices, delicious coffees, and plenty of decadent desserts.
