The Taste of Zeta Asia

Guests can enjoy an exciting epicurean journey at Zeta Asia at Hilton Bonnet Creek, exploring perfect pairings of sake or beer with favorite Asian-inspired dishes. Friday and Saturdays, 5 to 10 pm.

Cocktail Creations

Muddle, mix and sample! Guests partake in an interactive experience creating their very own specialty cocktails. Located at Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. Saturdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

Sip, Swirl, & Savor – A Wine Tasting Experience

Before dinner, sample an array of wines which will be offered as a complement to The Taste of La Luce dinner menu. Regardless of your wine knowledge, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more from an experienced sommelier. Located outside of La Luce at Hilton Bonnet Creek. Friday and Saturdays, 5 to 7 pm.

Bar Du Chocolat and Champagne Tasting

A decadent selection of à la carte chocolate treats hand-crafted by Waldorf Astoria Orlando’s world-class pastry team. A selection of champagnes are available, as well. Carlton Cuse, Producer of ‘Lost’, Signs Contract with ABC

ABC has made the next move in the battle between them and content streaming service, Netflix. ABC has just announced that they are bringing back the producer of Lost, Carlton Cuse. Cuse has signed a multi-year deal with the Network. The announcement comes after Shonda Rhimes of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal fame announced a deal for new content with Netflix.

Genre Arts, Cuse’s company, will begin developing content for all network, cable, and streaming platforms. Cuse will work closely with other writers to bring their visions to viewers.

Cuse is a Golden Globe-winning writer, producer, and director and one of the most iconic in the industry. He has worked on several series such as Lost and Bates Motel. He also wrote the screenplay for the movie San Andreas.

“It is with great pleasure that I am returning to ABC Studios, my happy home for six years during ‘Lost.’ I am very excited to be working alongside wonderful and iconic Disney brands like m, Pixar and Lucasfilm to create and bring entertaining and compelling stories to the screen. First Photos of the ‘Frozen the Musical’ Cast in Costume Released

Costumed Cast

The first photo of Anna, Elsa, Sven, and Hans is here and I have to admit I am a bit relieved! When the first sketches of the costumes were released last week, I was concerned that the costumes veered too far away from the original garb in the movie. The producers of the production intend for the Broadway musical to be a bit different from the original movie but I think staying true to the original costumes will help bring the movie to life.

Christopher Oram, the designer for both the costumes and scenery, says that his style was influenced by a love of sci-fi and Disney movies. He also took a trip to Norway “that exposed him to the timber-based culture’s painterly, rosemaled design aesthetic and the region’s panoramas, all of which have wiggled their way into Frozen in major and miniature ways.

“When you start researching yourself, you realize you’re stumbling across the same images they found when they were making the movie. My hope is that we’ve taken it in another direction, which I hope is a parallel one where people say, ‘Oh, yes, that’s the dress,’ but now it’s on a real body, behaving in a real way,” says Oram.

Oram’s department can be credited with putting together a total of 363 amazing costumes.

Frozen the Broadway Musical has started preforming in Denver. It opens on Broadway this February. Tickets for the Broadway shows are now on sale.

Could an Obi-Wan Kenobi Feature Film Be In the Works?

With the Han Solo Star Wars project inching ever closer to completion, we here at Chip and Co have been wondering if other much-loved Star Wars characters would be given the feature film treatment and it looks as if the answer is yes!

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed in a piece released today that a Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi film is in the works with filmmaker Stephen Daldry in early talks to direct the lastest project.

Sources say that the film is in its earliest stages and currently has no script. However, if it comes to fruition it would join one of several other films being developed by Lucasfilm and Disney that fall outside of the trilogies. The Han Solo movie is not nearing its final stages of shooting with new director Ron Howard at the helm. According to the Hollywood Reporter Lucasfilm is also considering movies centering on Yoda and Boba Fett.The role of Obi-Wan Kenobi was originated by Alec Guiness with Ewan McGregor going on to assume the role during the George Lucas- directed prequel films. According to the Hollywood Reporter, McGregor is open to reprising the role though sources stress that the project is in such early stages that no actors are currently attached to film.

Stephen Daldry’s previous film credits include Billy Elliot, The Hours and Netflix’s period drama The Crown for which he earned an Emmy nomination.

In response to today’s terror attack in Barcelona, Disney Cruise Line has begun reaching out to it’s passengers booked aboard the Disney Magic for its upcoming 7-night Mediterranean cruise. The sailing departs out of Barcelona, Spain this Saturday August 19th. As of right now the sailing is still scheduled but Disney is letting everyone know that they are actively monitoring the situation as the safety of their guests and crew are their priority.

If you are booked for this sailing please be aware of heightened security at all major city hubs like airports and ship port. Make sure you allow for the extra time needed to move through these check points.

Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today released an all-new cinematic trailer that highlights never-before-seen elements of the story mode experience featured in MARVEL VS. CAPCOM®: INFINITE. The action-packed trailer expands upon the key plot points, with heroes from both universes coming together in an attempt to stop Ultron Sigma from infecting all biological life in the newly merged Marvel and Capcom worlds.

All of the action in MARVEL VS. Another New Restaurant Announced for Disney Springs named Maria & Enzo’s

Disney Springs has undergone several renovations within the past few years. Several new places to wine and dine have been added or are currently under construction. (i.e.: The Edison and Wine Bar George) Today, it was announced that yet another new restaurant would be added to Disney World’s shopping and entertainment district. This time, it will be an Italian restaurant called “Maria & Enzo’s”

“Maria & Enzo’s” will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group. The same group behind other popular Disney World eateries such at Morimoto at Disney Springs, Via Napoli at Epcot, Tutto Italia in Epcot, and the soon-to-open Edison at Disney Springs.

“Maria & Enzo’s” will feature a “speakeasy” feel just like The Edison. It also will feature a “fast-casual component.”

This is not the only Italian restaurant that will be opening soon at Disney Springs. “Terralina Crafted Italian” restaurant is schedule to open this Fall. Terralina is the new concept that will be taking the place of the former Portobello’s location.

“Maria & Enzo’s” is scheduled to open at the end of this year or early 2018 at the latest. It will adjacent to The Edison in The Landing section of Disney Springs.

A Live-Action Version of The Jetsons is coming to ABC

Disney has been releasing its fair share of live-action film remakes and television series reboots lately, now in what may seem an unusual move, ABC has picked up a live-action Jetsons series. While the Jetsons wasn’t created by Disney, the original 1963 cartoon ran on ABC.

Robert Zemeckis will be producing the new show, which will bet set 100 years into the future and will be a “look at America’s favaorite future family, through a modern filter.” The live-action sitcom will be filmed with a multi-camera setup.

Muppet Courtyard to Become Grand Avenue at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Today we are learning more details about some of the changes coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Muppet Courtyard and part of the former Streets of America is currently being reimagined into a new area called Grand Avenue.

Although we knew Grand Avenue was currently in the construction phase, the new piece of information is that the name Muppet Courtyard is going away.

When Grand Avenue opens this fall it will resemble present-day Los Angeles with facades of a music shop, loft apartments, and a tailor. This area will also include current shops and restaurants like PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.

Some changes have already been visible in the this new area including the renaming of the Muppets theater to “Grand Arts Theatre” complete with a brand-new marquee. This area will continue to house the “Muppet*Vision 3D” Show featuring Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang.

One of the new additions to Grand Avenue will be BaseLine Tap House.
