In a story that tears at your heartstrings as only Eeyore could, a Mobile, Alabama woman is working hard to re-unite a stuffed Eeyore she found during the Hurricane Irma evacuation with its rightful owner.

According to reports, Martha Durant found Eeyore on the I-10 eastbound access ramp in Mobile and due to its much-loved condition worries that it belongs to a little one whose family evacuated during Hurricane Irma and who must be missing their best friend very much.

During Hurricane Irma evacuations, traffic was reported as being very heavy in the Mobile area last Tuesday as families started to head home after the storm.

To help locate Eeyore’s family Durant has set-up a Facebook Group called Finding Eeyore’s Way Home with the idea that if enough people spread the word by sharing this story with their family and friends that Eeyore will soon find his way home.

The group is filled with wonderful pictures of Durant doing her part to keep Eeyore safe and sound until his owner is found. Eeyore even joins Durant on some of her adventures including a recent trip to Whole Foods. Follow along with their adventures while helping to locate Eeyore’s owner.

50's Prime Time Cafe Reveals How to Whip Up Its Classic Peanut Butter n' Jelly Milkshake At Home

There’s a lot of things to love about table service eatery 50’s Prime Time Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from the classic homestyle dishes (we recommend the Meatloaf) to the kitschy 1950’s decor. But, if there’s one thing that has us coming back time and time again, it’s the delicious milkshakes on offer. As a matter of fact, it’s not just us. The milkshakes are so popular at 50’s Prime Time that the restaurant served up an astonishing 27,000 of them in 2016! There are several varieties of shakes to choose from but for us, the clear favorite has to be the Peanut Butter n’ Jelly Milkshake. This decadent sweet treat definitely conjures up the taste of childhood , and now, you can create a bit of this comforting goodness right at home thanks to a video released this week by Disney.

Here’s a quick recap of the recipe for those hoping to follow along.

50’s Prime Time Cafe Peanut Butter n’ Jelly Milkshake Recipe

Step 1: Put 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter in a blender.

Step 2: Add 2 cups of ice cream (preferably vanilla).

Step 3: 2 cups sliced strawberries. (2 tbsp grape jam can also be substituted in place of the strawberries for more of a Peanut Butter n’ Jelly taste. )

Step 4: Add 1/2 cup milk.

Step 5: Blend until smooth. Garnish with a fresh strawberry and you’re ready to serve.

When Disney announced that “One Man’s Dream” at Hollywood Studios was being re-imagined into “Walt Disney Presents” they also announced that models for the new Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge would also be on display. The models were supposed to debut last week but Hurricane Irma delayed those plans.

We are happy to report those models are now on display as of the end of last week.

Update to Discount Offered by Disney Cruise Line for Cruises Affected by Hurricane Irma

Due to Hurricane Irma, Disney Cruise Line cancelled three of their scheduled cruises. To make up for this inconvenience, Disney announced 25% off future cruises in addition to a full refund on their cancelled cruise.

Originally, guests were advised that they had 30 days to book their next cruise with the 25% discount. However, Guests who were booked onboard these cancelled cruises received the following update last week:

In addition to guests now having 90 days to book their future cruise (until December 18) with the 25% discount, Disney Cruise Line has announced these incentives for guests to use towards their future sailing:

Deposits for future cruises have been reduced to 10% down instead of the standard 20% down payment
The 25% discount is available for cruises with a departure date until the end of 2018

Small Boy Goes For A Swim In The Imagination Pavilion Fountains At EPCOT

Yesterday social media exploded with images of a little boy enjoying the fountains located close to the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT. The video below shows him enjoying the cool water and giving security the slip. Crowds gathered to watch the event as it unfolded.

Cast Members and Security were both present on multiple sides of the water feature trying to coax him out. The little boy even climbs out once with the help of a security guard before he changes his mind and slips away back into the water again.

Finally a plain clothes man entered the water and led the boy back to dry land. It is assumed that this is the boy’s father. It is unclear if Disney was requesting additional people to remain out of the water for safety’s sake.

Many comments online state that the boy is autistic and that Disney was keeping their distance so as not to frighten the child, while also keeping a close eye on him. As of right now Disney nor the parents have released an official statement about the incident.

Update Regarding Changes Being Made to Hollywood Studios Grand Avenue District

As we mentioned in an article a few weeks ago, The Muppet Courtyard, as well as a section of the Streets of America, is in the process of being revitalized as part of Hollywood Studios new Grand Avenue district.

Slated to open this fall, this area of the park is being re-imagined to resemble present-day Los Angeles including shops like a music store, a tailor and loft apartments. As a result, the heavily Muppet-themed courtyard area in front of the Muppet-Vision 3D attraction is being dulled down a bit. On a recent visit, we could already see those preparations being made.

This Summer, when the changes were first announced, rumors were swirling that this would mean the demise of the much-loved Muppet fountain which was the focal point of the Courtyard. It definitely seemed like Disney was leaning in this direction when the water feature was taken away from the fountain and it was turned into a planter as construction began at the neighboring Star Wars Land.

However, it would appear that for now, that the fountain is safe. Various Disney sources have reported as of late that Missy Piggy and friends will be restored back to their former glory and that the fountain will be re-opened as part of Grand Avenue. However, some changes to the Muppet-themed area have taken place including the renaming of the Muppets Theater to “Grand Arts Theatre” complete with a new marquee.

It is expected when Star Wars Land opens in 2019 that Grand Avenue will serve as one of the entrance points to this new land. As we get near the opening of Star War, its safe to assume that more changes will be expected in this area. However, for the moment it would seem that Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends are safe.

A Sneak Peek at the New Coco Tsum Tsum Collection

Coco Tsum Tsum Collection

Tsum Tsum fans have searched and found sneak peeks of the new CoCo Tsum Tsum collection coming soon! No official word on when they will be released, but I’m sure they will launch close to the movie debut this November.

Five characters have been discovered, and they are adorably detailed minis just like we’ve come to know and love of movie Tsums. Imelda, Hector, Ernesto, Mama Coco, and Dante are featured in this collection. Check out some pics we found at My Tsum Tsum!

I really love the ruffles and details on the Imelda Tsum, her burgundy dress is beautifully captured. I’m a little sad that we don’t see a Miguel Tsum Tsum, but maybe pictures of him just haven’t surfaced yet.

As we mentioned earlier this month, Walt Disney Presents (One Man’s Dream) is now showcasing detailed models of the latest Star Wars and Toy Story expansions headed to Hollywood Studios in the year ahead. We here at Chip and Co paid a visit to the parks this week and are excited to share with you with you a glimpse of what the new Toy Story expansion will look like when it opens next Summer (2018).

Backstory

The signage as you enter the exhibition gives you as a sense of the backstory that Imagineers drew on for their inspiration. The area is meant to give guests the feeling that they’ve been shrunken down to the size of a toy in Andy’s backyard. Two major attractions will be featured in this new Land: Alien Swirling Saucers and the Slinky Dog Dash.

The Slinky Dog Dash will be the focal point of this new themed area and as you can see below features prominently as it weaves throughout Toy Story Land.

Disney is Holding New York City Auditions Next Week For the Roles of Snow White, The Prince and Dopey

Have you always fancied yourself a Disney Princess? Do you think you have what it takes to be the next handsome Prince? Or is Dopey more your style? Disney is holding auditions in New York City next Wednesday (September 20th) for each of these coveted character roles!

The auditions will be held at Pearl Studios, 519 8th Avenue – 12th floor, New York, NY 10018. Sign-ins being at 9:00 am – 10 am and late arrivals will not be excepted.

Disney Parks Live Entertainment, who are holding the audition do not say specifically where these characters will be featured. However, they do say they are looking for character performers for unique holiday celebrations that will be held to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Walt Disney’s first ever full-length animated feature. We here at Chip and Co ran an article a few weeks ago about a special Snow White themed breakfast being held at Saks Fifth Avenue this Holiday Season that seems to completely fit the bill.

Disney is Holding New York City Auditions Next Week For the Roles of Snow White, The Prince and Dopey

Performers should meet the following criteria in order to qualify for a role:

Snow White: 5’3 – 5’7″ Young princess who is fairest in the land. Slender build and youthful appearance.

The Prince: 5’10” – 6’0 Masculine and charasmatic prince who breaks the spell on Snow White with true loves kiss. Slim to muscular build.

Dopey: 4’8″ – 4’11”. Animated character performer. Slender Build.

Other requirements may apply. Those interested in this casting call are also advised to visit disneyauditions.com and create a profile in advance of their audition.

For those interested in attending the Holiday Breakfast at Saks, the event will be held in Cafe SFA on the 8th floor of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, NY on select days from November 25 to December 31. Tickets are sold by table with a table of two costing $200 and a table of 4 costing $400. The breakfast is being hosted to celebrate the release of a Snow White collaboration.
